| 46:1 | Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they are a burden to the weary beast. |
| 46:2 | They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity. |
| 46:3 | Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb: |
| 46:4 | And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. |
| 46:5 | To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like? |
| 46:6 | They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship. |
| 46:7 | They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble. |
| 46:8 | Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors. |
| 46:9 | Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, |
| 46:10 | Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: |
| 46:11 | Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. |
| 46:12 | Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness: |
| 46:13 | I bring near my righteousness: it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory. |

| 46:6 | They draw gold out of the bagge and weigh siluer in the balance, and hire a goldsmith to make a god of it, and they bowe downe, and worship it. |
| 46:7 | They beare it vpon the shoulders: they carie him and set him in his place: so doeth he stand, and cannot remoue from his place. Though one crie vnto him, yet can he not answere, nor deliuer him out of his tribulation. |
| 46:8 | Remember this, and be ashamed: bring it againe to minde, O you transgressers. |
| 46:9 | Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none other God, and there is nothing like me, |
| 46:10 | Which declare the last thing from the beginning: and from of olde, the things that were not done, saying, My counsell shall stand, and I will doe whatsoeuer I will. |
| 46:11 | I call a birde from the East, and the man of my counsell from farre: as I haue spoken, so will I bring it to passe: I haue purposed it, and I will doe it. |
| 46:12 | Heare me, ye stubburne hearted, that are farre from iustice. |
| 46:13 | I bring neere my iustice: it shall not be farre off, and my saluation shall not tarie: for I wil giue saluation in Zion, and my glory vnto Israel. |

| 46:4 | I, I, which shall beare you vnto youre last age. I haue made you, I wyll also norysh you, beare you and saue you. |
| 46:5 | Whom wyll ye make me lyke or to whom wyll ye make me equall or compare me that I shulde be lyke hym, in fashyon or ymage, that I maye be lyke him? |
| 46:6 | Ye fooles (no doute) wyll take out syluer & golde oute of youre purses, and wepe it, & hyre a goldsmyth to make a God of it, that men maye knele downe and worshyppe it. |
| 46:7 | Yet must he be taken on mennes shoulders & borne, and set in his place, that he maye stande and not moue out of his place. Alas, that men shuld crye crie vnto him which geueth no answere: and delyuereth not the man that calleth vpon him, from hys trouble: |
| 46:8 | Consydre this well, and be ashamed. Go into youre awne selues (O ye runnagates.) |
| 46:9 | Remembre the thynges which are past, sence the begynninge of the worlde: that I am God & that there is els no God, yee, & that there is nothinge, lyke vnto me. |
| 46:10 | In the begynnynge of a thynge. I shewe the ende therof: & I tell before, thinges that are not yet come to passe. My deuice stondeth, stedfastly stablyshed, & I fulfyll all my pleasure. |
| 46:11 | I call a byrde out of the East, & the man by whom my councell shall be fulfylled out of farre countrees, as soone as I thyncke to deuise a thynge, I do it. |
| 46:12 | Heare me, O ye that are of an hye stomacke, but farre from ryghteousnesse, |
| 46:13 | I shall bringe forth my ryghteousnes. It is not farre, & my health shall not tary longe awaye. I wyll laye health in Sion, and in Israel my glory. |
