| 54:1 | Sing, O barren, she hath not borne! Break forth with singing, and cry aloud, She hath not brought forth! For more `are' the sons of the desolate, Than the sons of the married one, said Jehovah. |
| 54:2 | Enlarge the place of thy tent, And the curtains of thy tabernacles they stretch out, Restrain not -- lengthen thy cords, And thy pins make strong. |
| 54:3 | For right and left thou breakest forth, And thy seed doth nations possess, |
| 54:4 | And desolate cities they cause to be inhabited. Fear not, for thou art not ashamed, Nor blush, for thou art not confounded, For the shame of thy youth thou forgettest, And the reproach of thy widowhood Thou dost not remember any more. |
| 54:5 | For thy Maker `is' thy husband, Jehovah of Hosts `is' His name, And thy Redeemer `is' the Holy One of Israel, `God of all the earth,' He is called. |
| 54:6 | For, as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, Called thee hath Jehovah, Even a youthful wife when she is refused, said thy God. |
| 54:7 | In a small moment I have forsaken thee, And in great mercies I do gather thee, |
| 54:8 | In overflowing wrath I hid my face `for' a moment from thee, And in kindness age-during I have loved thee, Said thy Redeemer -- Jehovah! |
| 54:9 | For, the waters of Noah `is' this to Me, In that I have sworn -- the waters of Noah Do not pass again over the earth -- So I have sworn, Wrath is not upon thee, Nor rebuke against thee. |
| 54:10 | For the mountains depart, and the hills remove, And My kindness from thee departeth not, And the covenant of My peace removeth not, Said hath thy loving one -- Jehovah. |
| 54:11 | O afflicted, storm-tossed, not comforted, Lo, I am laying with cement thy stones, And have founded thee with sapphires, |
| 54:12 | And have made of agate thy pinnacles, And thy gates of carbuncle stones, And all thy border of stones of delight, |
| 54:13 | And all thy sons are taught of Jehovah, And abundant `is' the peace of thy sons. |
| 54:14 | In righteousness thou establishest thyself, Be far from oppression, for thou fearest not, And from ruin, for it cometh not near unto thee. |
| 54:15 | Lo, he doth diligently assemble without My desire, Who hath assembled near thee? By thee he falleth! |
| 54:16 | Lo, I -- I have prepared an artizan, Blowing on a fire of coals, And bringing out an instrument for his work, And I have prepared a destroyer to destroy. |
| 54:17 | No weapon formed against thee prospereth, And every tongue rising against thee, In judgment thou condemnest. This `is' the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah, And their righteousness from me, an affirmation of Jehovah! |

| 54:2 | Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; |
| 54:3 | For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. |
| 54:4 | Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. |
| 54:5 | For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. |
| 54:6 | For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. |
| 54:7 | For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. |
| 54:8 | In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer. |
| 54:9 | For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. |
| 54:10 | For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee. |
| 54:11 | O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. |
| 54:12 | And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. |
| 54:13 | And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children. |
| 54:14 | In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. |
| 54:15 | Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. |
| 54:16 | Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. |
| 54:17 | No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. |
| 54:1 | Rejoice, unfruitful one who never bore; break out a song and shout, you who never travailed. For the sons of the desolate one are more than the sons of the married woman, says Jehovah. |
| 54:2 | Make the place of your tent larger, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings. Do not spare, lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. |
| 54:3 | For you shall break forth on the right hand and on the left. And your seed shall possess nations, and people will inhabit ruined cities. |
| 54:4 | Do not fear, for you shall not be shamed, nor shall you be abashed, for you shall not be wounded. For you shall forget the shame of your youth, and you shall not remember the reproach of your widowhood any more. |
| 54:5 | For your Maker is your husband; Jehovah of Hosts is His name; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of all the earth. |
| 54:6 | For Jehovah has called you as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of young men when she is rejected, says your God. |
| 54:7 | For a little moment I have left you, but I will gather you with great pityings. |
| 54:8 | In a flood of wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but I will have pity on you with everlasting kindness, says Jehovah your Redeemer. |
| 54:9 | For this is the waters of Noah to Me; for as I swore to refrain from passing over the waters of Noah over the earth again, so I have sworn from being and with you and rebuking you. |
| 54:10 | For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My mercy shall not depart from you; nor shall the covenant of My peace be removed, says Jehovah who has pity on you. |
| 54:11 | Afflicted one, storm tossed and not comforted! Behold, I stretch out your stones among antimony, and lay your foundations with sapphires. |
| 54:12 | And I will make your battlements of ruby, and your gates carbuncle stones, and all your borders pleasing stones; |
| 54:13 | and all your sons will be taught of Jehovah; and the peace of your sons will be great. |
| 54:14 | You shall be established in righteousness; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. |
| 54:15 | Behold, they shall surely gather, but not from Me. Who has gathered against you? By you he shall fall. |
| 54:16 | Behold, I have created the smith who blows the coal in the fire, and who brings out a weapon for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. |
| 54:17 | Every weapon formed against you shall not prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah, and their righteousness is from Me, says Jehovah. |
