| 55:1 | Come to the waters all ye, that be thursty, and ye that haue no money. Come, bye, that ye maye haue to eate. Come, bye wyne and mylck, wythout any money, or money worth. |
| 55:2 | Wherfore do ye laye out youre money, for the thynge that fedeth not, & spende youre laboure aboute the thynge that satisfyeth you not. But herken herken rather vnto me, & ye shall eate of the best, and youre soule shall haue her pleasure in plenteousnes. |
| 55:3 | Enclyne your eares, and come vnto me, take hede (I saye) & your soule shall lyue. For I will make an euerlastynge couenaunt wyth you, euen the sure mercyes of Dauid. |
| 55:4 | Beholde, I gaue him for a wytnesse among the folke, for a Prynce and captayne vnto the people. |
| 55:5 | Lo, thou shalt call an vnknowne people: & a people that had not knowledge of the, shall runne vnto the: because of the Lord thy God, and the holy one of Israel, whych glorifyeth the. |
| 55:6 | Seke the Lorde, whyle he may be founde, and call vpon hym whyle he is nye. |
| 55:7 | Let the vngodly man forsake his owne wayes, & the vnryghtuous hys owne ymagynacyons, and turne agayne vnto the Lorde: so shall he be mercyfull vnto hym: and to oure God, for he is very ready to forgeue. |
| 55:8 | For thus sayeth the Lorde: my thoughtes are not youre thoughtes, and youre wayes are not my wayes, |
| 55:9 | but as farre as the heauens are hyer then the earth, so farre do my wayes exceade yours, and my thoughtes yours. |
| 55:10 | And lyke as the rayne & snowe commeth downe from heauen, and returneth not thyther agayne, but watereth the earth, maketh it frutefull and grene, that it maye geue corne vnto the sower, and breade to hym that eateth. |
| 55:11 | So the worde also that commeth out of my mouth shall not turne againe voyde vnto me, but shall accomplyshe my wyll and prospere in the thynge wherto I sende it. |
| 55:12 | And so shall ye goo forth wt ioye, & be led wt peace. The mountaynes & hylles shall synge wyth you for ioye, & all the trees of the felde shall clappe theyr handes. |
| 55:13 | For thornes, there shall growe Fyrre trees, & the Myrre tre in the steade of breers. And thys shall be done to the prayse of the Lorde, and for an euerlastynge token, that shall not be taken awaye. |
| 55:1 | Alle that thirsten, come ye to watris, and ye han not siluer, haaste, bie ye, and ete ye; come ye, bie ye, with out siluer and with outen ony chaungyng, wyn and mylk. |
| 55:2 | Whi peisen ye siluer, and not in looues, and youre trauel, not in fulnesse? Ye herynge here me, and ete ye good, and youre soule schal delite in fatnesse. |
| 55:3 | Bowe ye youre eere, and `come ye to me; here ye, and youre soule schal lyue; and Y schal smyte with you a couenaunt euerlastynge, the feithful mercies of Dauid. |
| 55:4 | Lo! Y yaf hym a witnesse to puplis, a duyk and a comaundour to folkis. |
| 55:5 | Lo! thou schalt clepe folkis, whiche thou knewist not; and folkis, that knewen not thee, schulen renne to thee; for thi Lord God, and the hooli of Israel, for he glorifiede thee. |
| 55:6 | Seke ye the Lord, while he mai be foundun; clepe ye hym to help, while he is niy. |
| 55:7 | An vnfeithful man forsake his weie, and a wickid man forsake hise thouytis; and turne he ayen to the Lord, and he schal haue merci on hym, and to oure God, for he is myche to foryyue. |

| 55:12 | For ye schulen go out in gladnesse, and ye schulen be led forth in pees; mounteyns and litil hillis schulen synge heriynge bifore you, and alle the trees of the cuntrei schulen make ioie with hond. |
| 55:13 | A fir tre schal grow for a firse, and a mirte tre schal wexe for a nettil; and the Lord schal be nemyd in to a signe euerlastynge, that schal not be doon awei. |
