Isaiah - Chapter: 54

>
54:1Be glad now, thou baren that bearest not, reioyce, synge and be mery thou that art not wyth chylde: For the desolate hath moo chyldren, then the maryed wyfe, sayeth the Lorde.
54:2Make thy tentes wyder, and sprede out the hangynges of thyne habitacion: spare not, laye forth thy coardes, and make fast thy stakes:
54:3for thou shalt be multiplied on the ryght syde & on the left, and thy sede shall haue the Gentyles in possessyon and dwell in the desolate cyties.
54:4Feare not, for thou shalt not be confounded: Be not ashamed, for thou shalt not come to confusyon. Yee thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, & shalt not remembre the dishonoure of thy wedowhead.
54:5For he that made the, shalbe thy Lord & husbande (whose name is the Lorde of hostes) and thy redemer shalbe euen the holy one of Israel, the Lorde of the whole worlde.
54:6For the Lord, hath called the, beynge as a desolate sorowfull woman, & as a younge wyfe that hath broken her wedlocke: sayeth thy God.
54:7A lytle whyle haue I forsaken the, but wt greate mercyfulnes shall I take the vp vnto me.
54:8When I was angry, I hydde my face from the for a lytle season, but thorow euerlastinge mercye haue I pardoned the, sayth the Lord thyne auenger.
54:9And this is vnto me as the water of Noe: for lyke as I haue sworne that I wyll not bringe the water of Noe eny more vpon the worlde: so haue I sworne that I wyll neuer be angry with the, ner reproue the:
54:10The mountaynes shall remoue, and the hylles shall fall downe: but my louynge kyndnesse shall not moue, and the bonde of my peace shall not fall downe from the, sayeth the Lorde thy mercyfull louer.
54:11Beholde thou pore, ouerwhelmed with tempest & wythout comforte. I will make thy walles of precyous stones, & thy foundacyon of Saphyres,
54:12thy wyndowes of Chrystal, thy gates of fyne cleare stone, & all thy borders of pleasaunt stones.
54:13Thy children shall all be taught of God, & I wyll geue them plenteousnes of peace.
54:14In ryghteousnes shalt thou be grounded, & be farre from oppressyon: for the whych thou nedest not be afrayed, nether for hynderaunce, for it shall not come nye the.
54:15Beholde, the aleaunt that was farre from me, shall dwell with the: & he that ioyneth batayle agenst the shall perishe.
54:16Beholde, I make the smith that bloweth the coales in the fyre, & he maketh a weapen after hys handy worcke. I make also the waster to destroye:
54:17but all the weapens that are made agaynst the, shall not prospere. And as for all tunges, that shall resyste the in iudgement, thou shalt ouercome them, & condemne them. Thys is the heritage of the Lordes seruauntes, and their ryghteousnes commeth of me, sayeth the Lorde.

54:1Thou bareyn, that childist not, herie; thou that childist not, synge heriyng, and make ioie; for whi many sones ben of the forsakun `womman more than of hir that hadde hosebonde, seith the Lord.
54:2Alarge thou the place of thi tente, and stretche forth the skynnes of thi tabernaclis; spare thou not, make longe thi roopis, and make sad thi nailis.
54:3For thou schalt perse to the riytside and to the leftside; and thi seed schal enherite hethene men, and schal dwelle in forsakun citees.
54:4Nile thou drede, for thou schal not be schent, nether thou schalt be aschamed. For it schal not schame thee; for thou schalt foryete the schenschipe of thi yongthe, and thou schalt no more thenke on the schenschipe of thi widewehod.
54:5For he that made thee, schal be lord of thee; the Lord of oostis is his name; and thin ayenbiere, the hooli of Israel, schal be clepid God of al erthe.
54:6For the Lord hath clepid thee as a womman forsakun and morenynge in spirit, and a wijf, `that is cast awei fro yongthe.
54:7Thi Lord God seide, At a poynt in litil tyme Y forsook thee, and Y schal gadere thee togidere in greete merciful doyngis.
54:8In a moment of indignacioun Y hidde my face a litil fro thee, and in merci euerlastynge Y hadde merci on thee, seide thin ayenbiere, the Lord.
54:9As in the daies of Noe, this thing is to me, to whom Y swoor, that Y schulde no more bringe watris of the greet flood on the erthe; so Y swoor, that Y be no more wrooth to thee, and that Y blame not thee.
54:10Forsothe hillis schulen be mouyd togidere, and litle hillis schulen tremble togidere; but my merci schal not go a wei fro thee, and the boond of my pees schal not be mouyd, seide the merciful doere, the Lord.
54:11Thou litle and pore, drawun out bi tempest, with outen ony coumfort, lo! Y schal strewe thi stoonys bi ordre, and Y schal founde thee in safiris;
54:12and Y schal sette iaspis thi touris, and thi yatis in to grauun stoonys, and alle thin eendis in to desirable stoonys.
54:13`Y schal make alle thi sones tauyt of the Lord; and the multitude of pees to thi sones,
54:14and thou schalt be foundid in riytfulnesse. Go thou awei fer fro fals caleng, for thou schalt not drede; and fro drede, for it schal not neiye to thee.
54:15Lo! a straunger schal come, that was not with me; he, that was sum tyme thi comelyng, schal be ioyned to thee.
54:16Lo! Y made a smyth blowynge coolis in fier, and bringynge forth a vessel in to his werk; and Y haue maad a sleere, for to leese.
54:17Ech vessel which is maad ayens thee, schal not be dressid; and in the doom thou schalt deme ech tunge ayenstondynge thee. This is the eritage of the seruauntis of the Lord, and the riytfulnesse of hem at me, seith the Lord.

54:1Therfore be glad now, thou bare that bearest not. Reioyce, synge & be mery, thou yt art not with childe: For the desolate hath moo children, then the maried wife, saieth the LORDE.
54:2Make thy tente wyder, & sprede out the hanginges of thine habitacio: spare not, laye forth thy coardes, and make fast thy stakes:
54:3for thou shalt breake out on the right syde and on the left, & thy sede shal haue ye Getiles in possession, ad dwel in the desolate cities.
54:4Feare not, for thou shalt not be confouded: Be not ashamed, for thou shalt not come to confucion. Yee thou shalt forget the shame off thy youth, and shalt not remembre the dishonoure of thy wedowheade.
54:5For he that made the, shalbe thy LORDE & husbonde (whose name is the LORDE of hoostes) & thine avenger shalbe euen the holy one off Israel, the LORDE of the whole worlde.
54:6For the LORDE shal call the, beinge as a desolate soroufull woman, and as a yonge wife that hath broken hir wedlocke: saieth thy God.
54:7A litle while haue I forsaken the, but wt greate mercifulnes shal I take the vp vnto me.
54:8Whe I was angrie, I hid my face from the for a litle season, but thorow euerlastinge goodnesse shal I pardon the, saieth the LORDE thine avenger.
54:9And this must be vnto me, as the water of Noe: For like as I haue sworne yt I wil not bringe the water off Noe eny more vpo the worlde: So haue I sworne, yt I wil neuer be angrie wt the, ner reproue the:
54:10The mountaynes shall remoue, & the hilles shal fall downe: but my louynge kyndnesse shal not moue, and the bonde off my peace shal not fall downe fro ye, saieth ye LORDE thy merciful louer.
54:11Beholde, thou poore, vexed & despised: I wil make thy walles of precious stones, & yi foundacio of Saphires,
54:12thy wyndowes off Cristall, thi gates of fyne cleare stone, & yi borders of pleasaut stones.
54:13Thy childre shal all be taught of God, & I wil geue the plenteousnes of peace.
54:14In rightuousnes shalt thou be grounded, & be farre fro oppression: for the which thou nedest not be afrayed, nether for hynderauce, for it shal not come nye the.
54:15Beholde, ye aleaunt yt was farre fro the, shal dwell wt the: & he yt was somtyne a straunger vnto the, shalbe ioyned wt the:
54:16Beholde, I make the smyth yt bloweth the coles in the fyre, & he maketh a weapon after his hondy worke. I make also the waister to destroye:
54:17but all the weapens yt are made agaynst the, shal not prospere. And as for all tunges, yt shal resiste the in iudgmet, thou shalt ouercome the, & codemne them. This is the heretage of the LORDES seruauntes, & the rightuousnes that they shal haue of me, saieth the LORDE.
