Isaiah - Chapter: 62

>
62:1For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
62:2And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.
62:3Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
62:4Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
62:5For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.
62:6I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence.
62:7And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
62:8The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:
62:9But they that have gathered it shall eat it and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.
62:10Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.
62:11Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
62:12And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

62:1For Zions sake I will not holde my tongue, and for Ierusalems sake I wil not rest, vntil the righteousnes thereof breake foorth as the light, and saluation thereof as a burning lampe.
62:2And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousnesse, and all Kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.
62:3Thou shalt also be a crowne of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royall diademe in the hand of thy God.
62:4It shall no more be sayd vnto thee, Forsaken, neither shall it be said any more to thy land, Desolate, but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord deliteth in thee, and thy land shall haue an husband.
62:5For as a yong man marieth a virgine, so shall thy sonnes marry thee: and as a bridegrome is glad of the bride, so shall thy God reioyce ouer thee.
62:6I haue set watchmen vpon thy walles, O Ierusalem, which all the day and all the night continually shall not cease: ye that are mindfull of the Lord, keepe not silence,
62:7And giue him no rest, till hee repaire and vntill hee set vp Ierusalem the prayse of the worlde.
62:8The Lord hath sworne by his right hand and by his strong arme, Surely I wil no more giue thy corne to be meate for thine enemies, and surely the sonnes of the strangers shall not drinke thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured.
62:9But they that haue gathered it, shall eate it, and prayse the Lord, and the gatherers thereof shall drinke it in the courtes of my Sanctuarie.
62:10Go through, go through the gates: prepare you the way for the people: cast vp, cast vp the way, and gather out the stones and set vp a standart for the people.
62:11Beholde, the Lord hath proclaimed vnto the endes of the world: tell the daughter Zion, Beholde, thy Sauiour commeth: beholde, his wages is with him, and his worke is before him.
62:12And they shall call them, The holy people, the redeemed of the Lord, and thou shalt be named, A citie sought out and not forsaken.

62:1For Sions sake therfore wyll I not holde my tunge, and for Ierusalems sake I will not ceasse: vntyll their righteousnes breake forth as the shynynge lyght, and their saluacyon as a burnynge lampe.
62:2Then shall the Gentiles se thy ryghteousnes, and all kynges thy glory. Thou shalt be named with a newe name, which the mouth of the Lord shall shewe.
62:3Thou shalt be a crowne in the hande of the Lorde, and a gloryous garlande in the hande of thy God.
62:4From thys tyme forth thou shalt neuer be called the forsaken, and thy lande shall nomore be called the wildernesse. But thou shalt be called: My pleasure is in her, & thy lande shalbe called: the maryed woman: for the Lord loueth the, & thy lande shalbe ioyned in mariage.
62:5And lyke as a yonge man taketh a daughter to mariage, so shall thy sonnes be maryed vnto the. And as a bryde grome is glad of hys bryde, so shall thy God reioyse ouer the.
62:6I haue set watchmen vpon thy walles (O Ierusalem) which shall nether ceasse daye nor night to preache the Lorde. And ye also that remembre the Lorde ye shall not kepe him close,
62:7nor leaue to speake of him, vntyll Ierusalem be sett vp, & made the prayse of the worlde.
62:8The Lord hath sworne by his right hande & by his stronge arme, that from hence forth he wyll not geue thy corne to be meate for thyne enemyes, ner thy vyne (wherin thou hast laboured) to be drincke for the straungers.
62:9But they that haue gathered in the corne, shall eate it, & geue thanckes to the Lord: & they that haue borne in the wyne, shall drinck it in the court of my Sanctuary.
62:10Go you, go you thorowe the gatis, make cleane the way, make playne, make playne the fote pathe, & take awaye the stones, out of yt & set out a token for the people.
62:11Beholde, the Lord proclameth vnto the endes of the worlde: tell the daughter Syon: se, thy sauyour commeth, beholde, he bringeth his treasure with him, & his worckes go before him.
