Isaiah - Chapter: 65


65:1	I am sought of them that asked not for me: I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, vnto a nation that was not called by my name.
65:2	I haue spread out my hands all the day vnto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their owne thoughts:
65:3	A people that prouoketh mee to anger continually to my face, that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense vpon altars of bricke:
65:4	Which remaine among the graues, and lodge in the monuments, which eate swines flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels:
65:5	Which say; Stand by thy selfe, come not neere to me; for I am holier then thou: these are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.
65:6	Behold, it is written before me: I will not keepe silence, but will recompence, euen recompence into their bosome,
65:7	Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, (saith the Lord) which haue burnt incense vpon the mountaines, & blasphemed mee vpon the hils: therfore will I measure their former worke into their bosome.
65:8	Thus saith the Lord, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not, for a blessing is in it: so wil I doe for my seruants sakes, that I may not destroy them all.
65:9	And I will bring forth a seede out of Iacob, and out of Iudah an inheritour of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my seruants shall dwell there.
65:10	And Sharon shall be a fold of flockes, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie downe in, for my people that haue sought me.
65:11	But yee are they that for sake the Lord, that forget my holy mountaine, that prepare a table for that troope, and that furnish the drinke offring vnto that number.
65:12	Therefore will I number you to the sword, and yee shall all bow downe to the slaughter: because when I called, yee did not answere; when I spake, yee did not heare, but did euill before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not:
65:13	Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, my seruants shall eate, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my seruants shall drinke, but yee shall be thirstie: behold, my seruants shall reioyce, but yee shall be ashamed.
65:14	Behold, my seruants shall sing for ioy of heart, but yee shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howle for vexation of spirit.
65:15	And yee shall leaue your name for a curse vnto my chosen: for the Lord God shall slay thee, and call his seruants by another name:
65:16	That he who blesseth himselfe in the earth, shall blesse himselfe in the God of trueth; and he that sweareth in the earth, shall sweare by the God of trueth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
65:17	For behold, I create new heauens, and a new earth: & the former shal not be remembred, nor come into mind.
65:18	But bee you glad and reioyce for euer in that which I create: for beholde, I create Ierusalem a reioycing, and her people a ioy.
65:19	And I wil reioyce in Ierusalem, and ioy in my people, and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
65:20	There shalbe no more thence an infant of dayes, nor an olde man, that hath not filled his dayes: for the childe shall die an hundreth yeeres olde: but the sinner being an hundreth yeres old, shalbe accursed.
65:21	And they shall builde houses, and inhabite them, and they shall plant vineyards, and eate the fruit of them.
65:22	They shal not build, and another inhabit: they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the daies of a tree, are the dayes of my people, and mine elect shal long enioy the worke of their hands.
65:23	They shall not labour in vaine, nor bring forth for trouble: for they are the seede of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them.
65:24	And it shal come to passe, that before they call, I will answere, & whiles they are yet speaking, I will heare.
65:25	The wolfe and the lambe shall feede together, and the lyon shall eate straw like the bullocke: and dust shalbe the serpents meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountaine, sayth the Lord.


65:1	They seeke me, that hitherto haue not asked for me, they finde me, that hitherto haue not sought me: I haue saide, I am here, I am here, I am founde of a people that neuer called vpon my name
65:2	For thus long haue I euer holden out mine handes to an vnfaythfull people that go not the right way, but after their owne imagination
65:3	To a people that is euer defiyng me to my face, they make their oblations in gardens, and their smoke vpon aulters of bricke
65:4	They lurke among the groues, and lye in the dennes all night: they eate swines fleshe, and vncleane broth is in their vessels
65:5	If thou commest nye them, they say, touche me not, for I am holyer then thou: All these men when I am angry, shalbe turned to smoke and fire that shall burne for euer
65:6	Beholde, it is written before my face, and shall not be forgotten, but recompenced: I shall rewarde it them into their bosome
65:7	I meane your misdeedes, and the misdeedes of your fathers together saith the Lord, which haue made their smokes vpon the mountaines, and blasphemed me vpon the hilles: therefore wyll I measure their olde deedes into their bosome agayne
65:8	Moreouer, thus saith the Lord: Like as when newe wine is founde in the cluster, and one saith, Lose it not, for there is blessing therein: euen so wyll I do also for my seruauntes sakes, that I wyll not destroy them all
65:9	But I will take a seede out of Iacob, and out of Iuda one, to take possession of my hill: My chosen shall possesse it, and my seruauntes shall dwell there
65:10	Saron shalbe a sheepefolde, and the valley of Achor shall geue the stalling for the cattell of my people that seeke after me
65:11	But as for you, ye are they that haue forsaken the Lorde, and forgotten my holy hyll: ye haue set vp an aulter vnto Iupiter, and geuen riche drinke offeringes vnto the planets
65:12	Therfore wyll I number you to the sworde, that ye shalbe destroyed altogether: for that when I called, no man gaue me aunswere, when I spake, ye hearkened not vnto me, but dyd wickednesse before mine eyes, and chose the thinges that pleased me not
65:13	Therefore thus saith the Lord God: Beholde, my seruauntes shall eate, but ye shall haue hunger: beholde, my seruauntes shall drinke, but ye shall suffer thirst: beholde, my seruauntes shalbe merie, but ye shalbe confounded
65:14	Beholde, my seruauntes shall reioyce for very quietnesse of heart: but ye shal crye for sorowe of heart, and complaine for vexation of minde
65:15	Your name shall ye leaue accursed among my chosen: for God the Lorde shall slay you, and call his seruauntes by another name
65:16	Who so reioyceth vpon earth, shall reioyce in the true God, and who so sweareth vpon earth, shall sweare in the true God: for the olde afflictions shalbe forgotten, and taken away out of my sight
65:17	For lo, I shall make a newe heauen and a newe earth: and as for the olde, they shall neuer be thought vpon, nor kept in minde
65:18	But the Lorde saith Be glad and euermore reioyce for the things that I shall do: For why? beholde, I shall make a ioyfull Hierusalem, and his people ioyfull
65:19	Yea, I my selfe will reioyce with Hierusalem, and be glad with my people: and the voyce of weeping and wayling shall not be hearde in her from thencefoorth
65:20	There shall neither be chylde nor olde man that haue not their full dayes: but when the chylde commeth to an hundred yeres olde it shal dye, and if he that is an hundred yeres of age do wrong, he shalbe cursed
65:21	They shall buylde houses and dwell in them, they shall plant vineyardes and eate the fruite of them
65:22	They shall not buylde and another possesse, they shall not plant and another eate: but the life of my people shalbe like a tree, and mine elect shall enioy styll the worke of their handes
65:23	They shall not labour in vayne, nor beget with trouble: for they are the hye blessed seede of the Lorde, and their fruites with them
65:24	And it shalbe, that or euer they call, I shall aunswere them, whyle they are yet but thinking howe to speake, I shal heare them
65:25	The woolfe and the lambe shal feede together, and the lion shall eate hay like the bullocke, but earth shalbe the serpentes meate: There shal no man hurt nor slay another in al my holy hill, saith the Lorde

65:12	Therefore wil I number you to the sword, and all you shall bowe downe to the slaughter, because I called, and ye did not answere: I spake, and ye heard not, but did euil in my sight, and did chuse that thing which I would not.
65:13	Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Beholde, my seruants shall eate, and ye shalbe hungrie: beholde, my seruants shall drinke, and ye shall be thirstie: beholde, my seruants shall reioyce, and ye shalbe ashamed.
65:14	Beholde, my seruants shall sing for ioye of heart, and ye shall crye for sorow of heart, and shall howle for vexation of minde.
65:15	And ye shall leaue your name as a curse vnto my chosen: for the Lord God shall slay you and call his seruants by another name.
65:16	He that shall blesse in the earth, shall blesse himselfe in the true God, and he that sweareth in the earth, shall sweare by the true God: for the former troubles are forgotten, and shall surely hide themselues from mine eyes.
65:17	For lo, I will create newe heauens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembred nor come into minde.
65:18	But be you glad and reioyce for euer in the things that I shall create: for beholde, I will create Ierusalem, as a reioycing and her people as a ioye,
65:19	And I wil reioyce in Ierusalem, and ioye in my people, and the voyce of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voyce of crying.
65:20	There shall be no more there a childe of yeeres, nor an olde man that hath not filled his dayes: for he that shall be an hundreth yeeres old, shall dye as a yong man: but the sinner being an hundreth yeeres olde shall be accursed.
65:21	And they shall build houses and inhabite them, and they shall plant vineyards, and eate the fruite of them.
65:22	They shall not build, and another inhabite: they shall not plant, and another eate: for as the dayes of the tree are the dayes of my people, and mine elect shall inioye in olde age the worke of their handes.

65:24	Yea, before they call, I will answere, and whiles they speake, I will heare.
65:25	The wolfe and the lambe shall feede together, and the lyon shall eate strawe like the bullocke: and to the serpent dust shall be his meate. They shall no more hurt nor destroy in all mine holy Mountaine, saith the Lord.
