| 30:1 | These are the wordes, that the Lord shewethe vnto Ieremye, sayinge: |
| 30:2 | Thus sayth the Lorde God of Israel: Wryte vp diligently all the wordes, that I haue spoken vnto the, in a booke. |
| 30:3 | For lo, the tyme commeth, sayth the Lorde, that I wyll bryng agayne the presoners of my people of Israel and Iuda, sayth the Lord. For I wyll restore them vnto the lande, that I gaue to theyr fathers, & they shall haue it in possession. |
| 30:4 | Agayne, these wordes spake the Lorde, concerning Israel and Iuda: |
| 30:5 | Thus sayth the Lorde: We haue hearde a terrible crye, feare and disquietnes. |
| 30:6 | For what elles do thys signifye, that I se? Namely, that all stronge men smyte, euery man hys hande vpon hys loynes, as a woman in the paine of her trauayle. Who euer sawe a man trauayle with childe? Enquyre therafter, and se. Yee, all their faces are maruelous pale. |
| 30:7 | Alas for this daye, which is so dredefull that none maye be likened vnto it: and alas for the tyme of Iacobs trouble, from the which he shall yet be delyuered. |
| 30:8 | For in that daye, sayth the Lorde, I will take his yocke from of thy neck, & breake thy bondes: And strangers shall nomore serue hym: |
| 30:9 | but they shall do seruice vnto God theyr Lorde, and to Dauid theyr kynge, whom I wyll rayse vp vnto them. |
| 30:10 | And as for the, O my seruaunt Iacob, feare not, sayth the Lorde, and be not afraied, O Israel. For lo, I wyll helpe the also from farre, and thy seed from the lande of their captiuytie. And Iacob shall turne agayne, he shalbe in rest, and haue a prosperous lyfe, & no man shall make him afrayed. |
| 30:11 | For I am with the to helpe the, sayth the Lorde. And though I shall destroie all the people, amonge whom I haue scatered the, yet wyll I not destroye the, but correcte the, and that with discretion. For I knowe that thou art in no wyse without faute. |
| 30:12 | Therfore thus sayth the Lord: Thy brosinges are peryllous, & thy woundes ready to cast the in to sicknes. |
| 30:13 | Ther is no man to medle with thy cause, or to lay plaster vpon the, or to bynde vp thy woundes: there maye no man helpe the. |
| 30:14 | All thy louers haue forgotten the, and care nothynge for the. For I haue geuen the a cruell stroke, and chastened the roughly: and that for the multitude of thy mysdedes: for thy synnes haue had the ouer hande. |
| 30:15 | Why makest thou mone for thy harme? in dede, thou art sore wounded & in ieopardye: but for the multitude of thy mysdedes and synnes, I haue done this vnto the. |
| 30:16 | And therfore, all they that deuoure the, shalbe deuoured: and all thyne enemies shalbe led into captiuite. All they that make the wast, shalbe wasted them selues, & all those that robbe the, wyll I make also to be robbed. |
| 30:17 | For I wyll geue the thy health agayne and make thy woundes whole, sayeth the Lorde: because they reuyled the, as one cast awaye and despised, Syon (sayde they) is she whom no man regardeth. |
| 30:18 | For thus sayth the Lorde: Beholde, I will bring agayne the captiuytie of Iacobs tentes, and defende his dwelling place. The citye shalbe buylded in her olde estate, and the houses shall haue their ryght foundacion, |
| 30:19 | And out of them shall go thankesgeuing, and the voyce of ioye. I will multiplye them, and they shall not be fewe. I shall endue them with honoure, & no man shall subdue them. |
| 30:20 | Theyr chyldren shalbe as a fore tyme, and their congregacion shall continue in my syght. And all those that vexe them, wyll I vyset. |
| 30:21 | A captayne also shall come of them: and a prynce shall springe out from the myddest of them: hym will I chalenge to my selfe, and he shall come vnto me. For what is he, that geueth ouer his hert to come vnto me? sayth the Lorde. |
| 30:22 | Ye shalbe my people also, and I wilbe youre God. |
| 30:23 | Beholde, on the other syde shall the wrath of the Lorde breake out as a stormy water as a mighty whirle winde: and shall fall vpon the heades of the vngodly. |
| 30:24 | The terrible displeasure of the Lorde shall not leaue of, vntyll he haue done, and perfourmed the intent of hys herte, which in the latter dayes ye shall vnderstande. |
| 30:1 | This is the word, that was maad of the Lord to Jeremye, |
| 30:2 | and seide, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, and spekith, Write to thee in a book, alle these wordis whiche Y spak to thee. |
| 30:3 | For lo! daies comen, seith the Lord, and Y schal turne the turnyng of my puple Israel and Juda, seith the Lord; and Y schal turne hem to the lond which Y yaf to the fadris of hem, and thei schulen haue it in possessioun. |
| 30:4 | And these ben the wordis, whiche the Lord spak to Israel, and to Juda, |
| 30:5 | For the Lord seith these thingis, We herden a word of drede; inward drede is, and pees is not. |
| 30:6 | Axe ye, and se, if a male berith child; whi therfor siy Y the hond of ech man on his leende, as of a womman trauelynge of child, and alle faces ben turned in to yelow colour? |
| 30:7 | Wo! for thilke day is greet, nether ony is lyk it; and it is a tyme of tribulacioun to Jacob, and of hym schal be sauyd. |
| 30:8 | And it schal be, in that dai, seith the Lord of oostis, Y schal al to-breke the yok of hym fro thi necke, and Y schal breke hise boondis; and aliens schulen no more be lordis of it, |
| 30:9 | but thei schulen serue to her Lord God, and to Dauid, her kyng, whom Y schal reyse for hem. |
| 30:10 | Therfor, Jacob, my seruaunt, drede thou not, seith the Lord, and Israel, drede thou not; for lo! Y schal saue thee fro a fer lond, and thi seed fro the lond of the caitiftee of hem. And Jacob schal turne ayen, and schal reste, and schal flowe with alle goodis; and noon schal be whom he schal drede. |
| 30:11 | For Y am with thee, seith the Lord, for to saue thee. For Y schal make endyng in alle folkis, in whiche Y scateride thee; sotheli Y schal not make thee in to endyng, but Y schal chastise thee in doom, that thou be not seyn to thee to be gilteles. |
| 30:12 | For the Lord seith these thingis, Thi brekyng is vncurable, thi wounde is the worste. |
| 30:13 | Noon is, that demeth thi doom to bynde togidere; the profit of heelyngis is not to thee. |
| 30:14 | Alle thi louyeris han foryete thee, thei schulen not seke thee; for Y haue smyte thee with the wounde of an enemy, with cruel chastisyng; for the multitude of thi wickidnesse, thi synnes ben maad hard. |
| 30:15 | What criest thou on thi brekynge? thi sorewe is vncurable; for the multitude of thi wickidnesse, and for thin hard synnes, Y haue do these thingis to thee. |
| 30:16 | Therfor alle that eeten thee, schulen be deuourid, and alle thin enemyes schulen be led in to caitifte; and thei that distrien thee, schulen be distried, and Y schal yyue alle thi robberis in to raueyn. |
| 30:17 | For Y schal heele perfitli thi wounde, and Y schal make thee hool of thi woundis, seith the Lord; for thou, Sion, thei clepeden thee cast out; this is it that hadde no sekere. |
| 30:18 | The Lord seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal turne the turnyng of the tabernaclis of Jacob, and Y schal haue merci on the housis of hym; and the citee schal be bildid in his hiynesse, and the temple schal be foundid bi his ordre. |
| 30:19 | And heriyng and the vois of pleiers schal go out of hem, and Y schal multiplie hem, and thei schulen not be decreessid; and Y schal glorifie hem, and thei schulen not be maad thynne. |
| 30:20 | And the sones therof schulen be as at the bigynnyng, and the cumpeny therof schal dwelle bifore me; and Y schal visite ayens alle that doon tribulacioun to it. |
| 30:21 | And the duyk therof schal be of it, and a prince schal be brouyt forth of the myddis therof; and Y schal applie hym, and he schal neiye to me; for who is this, that schal applie his herte, that he neiye to me? seith the Lord. |
| 30:22 | And ye schulen be in to a puple to me, and Y schal be in to God to you. |
| 30:23 | Lo! the whirlewynd of the Lord, a strong veniaunce goynge out, a tempest fallynge doun, schal reste in the heed of wickid men. |
| 30:24 | The Lord schal not turne awey the ire of indignacioun, til he do, and fille the thouyt of his herte; in the laste of daies ye schulen vndurstonde tho thingis. |
