| 45:1 | These are the wordes that Ieremye the prophete spake vnto Baruch the sonne of Neriah. after that he had wrytten these sermons in a boke at the mouth of Ieremy: In the fourth yeare of Iehoakim the sonne of Iosias kynge of Iuda, sayinge. |
| 45:2 | Thus sayth the Lorde God of Israel vnto the, O Baruch. |
| 45:3 | In somoche as thou thoughtest thus, when thou wast writtyng, Wo is me, the Lorde hath geuen me sorowe vpon sorowe. I haue weryed my selfe with syghing, and haue founde no rest. |
| 45:4 | Therfore tell hym, O Ieremye, that the Lorde sayth thus: Beholde, the thing that I haue buylded, wyll I breake downe agayne and rote out the thinge that I haue planted: yee, this whole lande. |
| 45:5 | And sekest thou yet promotion? Loke not for it, and desyre it not. For I wyll brynge a miserable plage vpon all fleshe, sayeth the Lorde. But thy lyfe wyll I geue the for a praye in all places, wheresoeuer thou goest. |
| 45:1 | The word that Jeremye, the profete, spak to Baruc, the sone of Nerie, whanne he hadde write these wordis in the book, of the mouth of Jeremye, in the fourthe yeer of Joachym, the sone of Josie, kyng of Juda, |
| 45:2 | and seide, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis to thee, Baruc. |
| 45:3 | Thou seidist, Wo to me wretche, for the Lord encreesside sorewe to my sorewe; Y trauelide in my weilyng, and Y foond not reste. |
| 45:4 | The Lord seith these thingis, Thus thou schalt seye to hym, Lo! Y distrie hem, whiche Y bildide, and Y drawe out hem, whiche Y plauntide, and al this lond. |
| 45:5 | And sekist thou grete thingis to thee? nyle thou seke, for lo! Y schal brynge yuel on ech man, seith the Lord, and Y schal yyue to thee thi lijf in to helthe, in alle places, to whiche euer places thou schalt go. |

| 45:4 | Therfore tell him (O Ieremy) yt the LORDE saieth thus: Beholde, The thige that I haue buylded, wil I breake downe agayne, and rote out the thinge, that I haue planted, yee this whole londe. |
| 45:5 | And sekest thou yet promocio? Loke not for it, and desyre it not. For I will bringe a miserable plage vpo all flesh, saieth the LORDE. But thy life will I geue the for a pray, where so euer thou goest. |
