2:1 | And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee. |
2:2 | And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me. |
2:3 | And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day. |
2:4 | For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD. |
2:5 | And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them. |
2:6 | And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. |
2:7 | And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious. |
2:8 | But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee. |
2:9 | And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; |
2:10 | And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe. |

2:6 | And thou sonne of man, feare them not, neither be afraide of their wordes, although rebels, and thornes be with thee, and thou remainest with scorpions: feare not their wordes, nor be afrayde at their lookes, for they are a rebellious house. |
2:7 | Therefore thou shalt speake my words vnto them: but surely they will not heare, neither will they in deede cease: for they are rebellious. |
2:8 | But thou sonne of man, heare what I say vnto thee: be not thou rebellious, like this rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eate that I giue thee. |
2:9 | And when I looked vp, beholde, an hande was sent vnto me, and loe, a roule of a booke was therein. |
2:10 | And he spred it before me, and it was written within and without, and there was written therein, Lamentations, and mourning, and woe. |

2:3 | And he sayde Behold, thou sonne of man: I wyll sende the to the chyldren of Israel, to those runnagates and obstinate people: for they haue taken parte agaynst me, and are runne a waye fro me: both they and theyr fore fathers vnto thys daye. |
2:4 | Yee, I wyll sende the vnto a people that haue rough visages and stiffe stomakes: vnto whom thou shalt saye on thys maner: Thys the Lorde God hym selfe hath spoken, |
2:5 | that whether they be obedient or no (for it is a frowarde housholde) they maye knowe yet that there hath bene a Prophete amonge them. |
2:6 | Therfore (thou sonne of man) feare them not, nether be afrayed of theyr wordes: for prouokers and thornes are with the. Yee, thou doest dwell amonge scorpions. but feare not theyr wordes, be not abashed at theyr lookes, for it is a frowarde housholde. |
2:7 | Se that thou speake my wordes vnto them, whether they be obedient or not, for they are obstynate. |
2:8 | Therfore, thou sonne of man, obey thou all thynges that I saye vnto the, & be not thou styfnecked, lyke as they are a styfnecked houshold. Open thy mouth, and eate that I geue the. |
2:9 | So as I was lokynge vp, beholde, there was sent vnto me an hande, wherin was closed a booke: |
2:10 | and the hande opened it before me, and it was wrytten within and without full of carefull mournynges: alas, and woo |
