| 24:1 | In the nynth yeare, in the tenth moneth, the tenth daye of the moneth, came the worde of the Lord vnto me, sayenge. |
| 24:2 | O thou sonne of man, wryte vp the name of thys daye, yee, euen the houre of this present daye: when the kyng of Babylon sett hym selfe against Ierusalem. |
| 24:3 | Shew that obstinate housholde a parable, and speake vnto them: Thus sayeth the Lorde God: Gett the a potte, sett it on, and powre water into it: |
| 24:4 | put all the peces together in it, all the good peces: the loyne & the shulder, and fyl it with the best bones. |
| 24:5 | Take one of the best shepe, & an heape of bones withall: let it boyle well, & lett the bones sethe well therin. |
| 24:6 | With that sayde the Lorde God on thys maner. Wo be vnto the bloudy cytie of the pot, wherupon the rustynes hangeth, & is not yet scoured awaye. Take out the peces that are in it, one after another: there neade not lottes be cast therfore, |
| 24:7 | for the bloude is yet in it. Upon a playne drye stone hath she powred it, & not vpon the grounde, that it myght be couered wt dust. |
| 24:8 | And therfore haue I letten her powre her bloude vpon a playne drye stony rocke, because it shulde not be hyd, and that I myght brynge my wrothfull indignacyon & vengeaunce vpon her. |
| 24:9 | Wherfore, thus sayth the Lord God: O, wo be vnto the bloud thurstye cyte, for whom euen I my selfe will make a grett fyre and sett moche woode, |
| 24:10 | and kyndell the fyre and seath the fleashe, and spice the pott, so that the very bones shall be brent. |
| 24:11 | Moreouer I will sett the pott empty vpon the coles, so that his metall shall be brent & molten also for heate, & the fylthynes of yt shall be molten in yt, & the drosse of yt shal be consumed. |
| 24:12 | Thou tokest great payne thys to defyle thy selfe. And yt will not be purged from the exceadinge drosse in yt: but thorow fyre shall the drosse of yt be puryfyed. |
| 24:13 | In thy fylthynes euen in thy myscheuous dedes, thou dost contynue & because thy fylthynesse is abhominable, for I haue clensed the, but thou art not clensed. Thou shalt not be pourged from thyne vnclennesse, tyll I haue powred my wrothful indygnacion vpon the. |
| 24:14 | Euen I the Lorde haue so deuysed. Yee, it is come therto all redy, that I wyll do it. I will not go backe, I will not spare, I will not be intreated: but accordinge to thy wayes & ymaginacions, thou shalt be punyshed, sayeth the Lorde God. |
| 24:15 | And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saieng: |
| 24:16 | Thou sonne of man, beholde, I will take awaye the pleasure of thyne eyes wt a plage: yet shalt thou nether mourne, ner wepe, ner water thy chekes therfore: |
| 24:17 | thou mayest mourne by thy self alone, but vse no deadly lamentacion. Holde on thy bonet, and put on thy shoes vpon thy fete, couer not thy face, & eat no mourners bread. |
| 24:18 | So I spake vnto the people by times in the mornyng, & at euen my wyfe dyed: then vpon the next morowe, I dyd as I was commaunded. |
| 24:19 | And the people sayd vnto me, wilt thou not tell vs what thys signifyeth towarde vs, for this thou doest for our sake. |
| 24:20 | I answered them, the worde of the Lorde came vnto me sayeng: |
| 24:21 | Tell the house of Israell, thus sayeth the Lorde God: beholde, I will suspende my sanctuary: euen the glory of your power, the pleasure of your eyes, and the thing that ye loue: your sonnes and daughters whom ye haue left, shal fall thorow the swearde. |
| 24:22 | Lyke as I haue done, so shall ye do also: Ye shall not hyde your faces, ye shall eate no mourners bread: |
| 24:23 | your bonnettes shall ye haue vpon your heades, & shoes vpon your fete. Ye shall nether mourne ner wepe, but, in your synnes ye shalbe sorowfull, & one repente with another. |
| 24:24 | Thus Ezechiel is your shew token. For loke as he hath done, so (when this commeth) ye shall do also: that ye maye lerne to knowe, that I am the Lorde God. |
| 24:25 | But beholde, O thou sonne of man: In the daye when I take from them theyr power, theyr ioye & honour, the lust of theyr eyes, the burthen of theyr lyfes: namely, theyr sonnes and daughters, shall not this be knowen? |
| 24:26 | Then shall there one escape, and come vnto the, for to shew the. |
| 24:27 | In that daye shall thy mouth be opened to him, which is escaped, that thou mayest speake, and be nomore domme. Yee, and thou shalt be theyr shewtoken that they maye knowe, howe that I am the Lord. |
| 24:1 | And the word of the Lord was maad to me, in the nynthe yeer, and in the tenthe monethe, in the tenthe dai of the monethe, |

| 24:6 | Therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, Wo to the citee of bloodis, to the pot whos rust is ther ynne, and the rust therof yede not out of it; caste thou out it bi partis, and bi hise partis; lot felle not on it. |
| 24:7 | For whi the blood therof is in the myddis therof; he schede it out on a ful cleer stoon, he schedde not it out on erthe, |
| 24:8 | that it mai be hilid with dust, that Y schulde bringe in myn indignacioun, and `a venge bi veniaunce; Y yaf the blood therof on a ful cleer stoon, that it schulde not be hilid. |
| 24:9 | Therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, Wo to the citee of bloodis, whos brennyng Y schal make greet; |
| 24:10 | gadere thou togidire boonys, whiche Y schal kyndle with fier; fleischis schulen be wastid, and al the settyng togidere schal be sodun, and boonys schulen faile. |

| 24:12 | It was swat bi myche trauel, and the ouer greet rust therof yede not out therof, nether bi fier. |
| 24:13 | Thin vnclennesse is abhomynable, for Y wolde clense thee, and thou art not clensid fro thi filthis; but nether thou schalt be clensid bifore, til Y make myn indignacioun to reste in thee. |
| 24:14 | Y the Lord spak; it schal come, and Y schal make, Y schal not passe, nethir Y schal spare, nether Y schal be plesid; bi thi weies and bi thi fyndyngis Y schal deme thee, seith the Lord. |
| 24:15 | And the word of the Lord was maad to me, |
| 24:16 | and he seide, Thou, sone of man, lo! Y take awei fro thee the desirable thing of thin iyen in veniaunce, and thou schalt not weile, nether wepe, nether thi teeris schulen flete doun. |
| 24:17 | Weile thou beynge stille, thou schalt not make mourenyng of deed men; thi coroun be boundun aboute thin heed, and thi schoon schulen be in the feet, nether thou schalt hile the mouth with a cloth, nether thou schalt ete the metis of mourneris. |
| 24:18 | Therfor Y spak to the puple in the morewtid, and my wijf was deed in the euentid; and Y dide in the morewtid, as he hadde comaundid to me. |
| 24:19 | And the puple seide to me, Whi schewist thou not to vs what these thingis signefien, whiche thou doist? |
| 24:20 | And Y seide to hem, The word of the Lord was maad to me, |
| 24:21 | and he seide, Speke thou to the hous of Israel, The Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! | 24:22 | And ye schulen do, as Y dide; ye schulen not hile mouthis with cloth, and ye schulen not ete the mete of weileris. |
| 24:23 | Ye schulen haue corouns in youre heedis, and schoon in the feet; ye schulen not weile, nether ye schulen wepe, but ye schulen faile in wretchidnesse, for youre wickidnessis; and ech man schal weile to his brother. |
| 24:24 | And Ezechiel schal be to you in to a signe of thing to comynge; bi alle thingis whiche he dide, ye schulen do, whanne this thing schal come; and ye schulen wite, that Y am the Lord God. |
| 24:25 | And thou, sone of man, lo! in the dai in which Y schal take awei fro hem the strengthe of hem, and the ioie of dignyte, and the desire of her iyen, on whiche the soulis of hem resten, caste awei the sones and douytris of hem; |

| 24:1 | In the ix. yeare, in the x. Moneth. the x. daye off the Moneth, came the worde off the LORDE vnto me, sayenge: |

| 24:3 | Shewe yt obstinate housholde a parable, & speake vnto the: Thus sayet the LORDE God: Get the a pot, set it on, & poure water in to it: |

| 24:5 | Take one off the best shepe, & an heape off bones withall: let it boyle well, & let the bones seyth well therin. |
| 24:6 | With that, sayde the LORDE God on this maner: Wo be vnto the bloudy cite of ye pot, whervpon the rustynesse hageth, and is not yet scoured awaye. Take out the peces that are in it, one after another: there nede no lottes be cast therfore, |
| 24:7 | for the bloude is yet in it Vpon a playne drye stone hath she poured it, and not vpon the grounde, that it might be couered with dust. |
| 24:8 | And therfore haue I letten her poure hir bloude vpon a playne drye stony rocke, because it shulde not be hid, and that I might bringe my wrothfull indignacion and vengeaunce vpon her. |
| 24:9 | Wherfore, thus saieth ye LORDE God: O, wo be vnto that bloudthurstie cite, for who I wil prepare a heape off wodde: |

| 24:11 | Morouer, set the pot emptye vpon the coales, that it maye be warme and the metall hote: that the fylth and rustynesse maye be consumed. |
| 24:12 | But it will not go off, there is so moch off it: the rustinesse must be brent out. |
| 24:13 | Thy filthinesse is abhominable, for I wolde haue clensed the, but thou woldest not be clensed. Thou canst not be pourged from thine vnclennesse, till I haue poured my wrothfull indignacion vpon the. |
| 24:14 | Euen I the LORDE haue so deuysed: Yee it is come therto allredy, that I will do it. I will not go backe, I will not spare, I wil not be intreated: but acordinge to thy wayes ad ymaginacions, thou shalt be punyshed, saieth the LORDE God. |

| 24:22 | Like as I haue done, so shall ye do also: Ye shal not hyde youre faces, ye shal eate no mourners bred: |
| 24:23 | youre bonettes shal ye haue vpon youre heades, & shues vpon youre fete Ye shal nether mourne ner wepe, but in youre synnes ye shal be soroufull, and one repete with another. |
| 24:24 | Thus Ezechiel is youre shewtoke. For loke as he hath done, so (when this commeth) ye shall do also: that ye maye lerne to knowe, that I am ye LORDE God. |
| 24:25 | But beholde, O thou sonne of man: In the daye when I take from them their power, their ioye and honoure, the lust off their eyes, the burthe of their bodies: namely, their sonnes and doughters: |
