| 25:1 | The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, |
| 25:2 | Son of man, set thy face against the Ammonites, and prophesy against them; |
| 25:3 | And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity; |
| 25:4 | Behold, therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make their dwellings in thee: they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk. |
| 25:5 | And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the Ammonites a couchingplace for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. |
| 25:6 | For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel; |
| 25:7 | Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD. |
| 25:8 | Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the heathen; |
| 25:9 | Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Bethjeshimoth, Baalmeon, and Kiriathaim, |
| 25:10 | Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations. |
| 25:11 | And I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am the LORD. |
| 25:12 | Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them; |
| 25:13 | Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword. |
| 25:14 | And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord GOD. |
| 25:15 | Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred; |
| 25:16 | Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast. |
| 25:17 | And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them. |
| 25:1 | ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃ |
| 25:2 | בן אדם שׂים פניך אל בני עמון והנבא עליהם׃ |
| 25:3 | ואמרת לבני עמון שׁמעו דבר אדני יהוה כה אמר אדני יהוה יען אמרך האח אל מקדשׁי כי נחל ואל אדמת ישׂראל כי נשׁמה ואל בית יהודה כי הלכו בגולה׃ |
| 25:4 | לכן הנני נתנך לבני קדם למורשׁה וישׁבו טירותיהם בך ונתנו בך משׁכניהם המה יאכלו פריך והמה ישׁתו חלבך׃ |
| 25:5 | ונתתי את רבה לנוה גמלים ואת בני עמון למרבץ צאן וידעתם כי אני יהוה׃ |
| 25:6 | כי כה אמר אדני יהוה יען מחאך יד ורקעך ברגל ותשׂמח בכל שׁאטך בנפשׁ אל אדמת ישׂראל׃ |
| 25:7 | לכן הנני נטיתי את ידי עליך ונתתיך לבג לגוים והכרתיך מן העמים והאבדתיך מן הארצות אשׁמידך וידעת כי אני יהוה׃ |
| 25:8 | כה אמר אדני יהוה יען אמר מואב ושׂעיר הנה ככל הגוים בית יהודה׃ |
| 25:9 | לכן הנני פתח את כתף מואב מהערים מעריו מקצהו צבי ארץ בית הישׁימת בעל מעון וקריתמה׃ |
| 25:10 | לבני קדם על בני עמון ונתתיה למורשׁה למען לא תזכר בני עמון בגוים׃ |
| 25:11 | ובמואב אעשׂה שׁפטים וידעו כי אני יהוה׃ |
| 25:12 | כה אמר אדני יהוה יען עשׂות אדום בנקם נקם לבית יהודה ויאשׁמו אשׁום ונקמו׃ |
| 25:13 | לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה ונטתי ידי על אדום והכרתי ממנה אדם ובהמה ונתתיה חרבה מתימן ודדנה בחרב יפלו׃ |
| 25:14 | ונתתי את נקמתי באדום ביד עמי ישׂראל ועשׂו באדום כאפי וכחמתי וידעו את נקמתי נאם אדני יהוה׃ |
| 25:15 | כה אמר אדני יהוה יען עשׂות פלשׁתים בנקמה וינקמו נקם בשׁאט בנפשׁ למשׁחית איבת עולם׃ |
| 25:16 | לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני נוטה ידי על פלשׁתים והכרתי את כרתים והאבדתי את שׁארית חוף הים׃ |
| 25:17 | ועשׂיתי בם נקמות גדלות בתוכחות חמה וידעו כי אני יהוה בתתי את נקמתי׃ |
| 25:1 | And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying, |
| 25:2 | `Son of man, set thy face unto the sons of Ammon, and prophesy against them; |
| 25:3 | and thou hast said to the sons of Ammon: Hear ye a word of the Lord Jehovah: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of thy saying, Aha, to My sanctuary, Because it hath been polluted, And unto the ground of Israel, Because it hath been desolate, And unto the house of Judah, Because they have gone into a removal: |
| 25:4 | Therefore, lo, I am giving thee to sons of the east for a possession, And they set their towers in thee, And have placed in thee their tabernacles. They eat thy fruit, and they drink thy milk, |
| 25:5 | And I have given Rabbah for a habitation of camels, And the sons of Ammon for the crouching of a flock, And ye have known that I `am' Jehovah. |
| 25:6 | For thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of thy clapping the hand, And of thy stamping with the foot, And thou rejoicest with all thy despite in soul Against the ground of Israel, |
| 25:7 | Therefore, lo, I -- I have stretched out My hand against thee, And have given thee for a portion to nations, And I have cut thee off from the peoples, And caused thee to perish from the lands; I destroy thee, and thou hast known that I `am' Jehovah. |
| 25:8 | Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of the saying of Moab and Seir: Lo, as all the nations `is' the house of Judah; |
| 25:9 | Therefore, lo, I am opening the shoulder of Moab -- From the cities -- from his cities -- from his frontier, The beauty of the land, Beth-Jeshimoth, Baal-Meon, and Kiriathaim, |
| 25:10 | To the sons of the east, with the sons of Ammon, And I have given it for a possession, So that the sons of Ammon are not remembered among nations. |
| 25:11 | And in Moab I do judgments, And they have known that I `am' Jehovah. |
| 25:12 | Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of the doings of Edom, In taking vengeance on the house of Judah, Yea, they are very guilty, And they have taken vengeance on them. |
| 25:13 | Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: I have stretched out My hand against Edom, And I have cut off from it man and beast, And given it up -- a waste, from Teman even to Dedan, By sword they do fall. |
| 25:14 | And I have given My vengeance on Edom, By the hand of My people Israel, And they have done in Edom, According to My anger, and according to My fury, And they have known My vengeance, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah. |
| 25:15 | Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of the doings of the Philistines in vengeance, And they take vengeance with despite in soul, To destroy -- the enmity age-during! |
| 25:16 | Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am stretching out My hand against the Philistines, And I have cut off the Cherethim, And destroyed the remnant of the haven of the sea, |
| 25:17 | And done upon them great vengeance with furious reproofs, And they have known that I `am' Jehovah, In My giving out My vengeance on them! |
