36:1	Also thou sonne of man, prophecie vnto the mountaines of Israel, and say; Ye mountaines of Israel, Heare the word of the Lord.
36:2	Thus saith the Lord God, Because the enemy had said against you, Aha, euen the ancient high places are ours in possession:
36:3	Therfore prophecie and say, Thus saith the Lord God, Because they haue made you desolate, and swallowed you vp on euery side, that ye might be a possession vnto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken vp in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people:
36:4	Therefore ye mountaines of Israel, heare the word of the Lord God, Thus saith the Lord God to the mountaines and to the hilles, to the riuers and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a pray and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about:
36:5	Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Surely in the fire of my ielousie haue I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against al Idumea, which haue appointed my land into their possession, with the ioy of all their heart, with despitefull minds to cast it out for a praye.
36:6	Prophecie therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say vnto the mountaines and to the hilles, to the riuers and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I haue spoken in my iealousie and in my furie, because ye haue borne the shame of the heathen,
36:7	Therefore thus saith the Lord God, I haue lifted vp mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall beare their shame.
36:8	But ye, O mountaines of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yeeld your fruit to my people of Israel, for they are at hand to come.
36:9	For behold, I am for you, and I will turne vnto you, and ye shall be tilled and sowen.
36:10	And I will multiplie men vpon you, all the house of Israel, euen all of it, and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded.
36:11	And I will multiply vpon you man and beast, and they shall increase and bring fruite, and I will settle you after your olde estates: and will doe better vnto you, then at your beginnings, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
36:12	Yea I will cause men to walke vpon you, euen my people Israel, and they shall possesse thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforth bereaue them of men.
36:13	Thus saith the Lord God, Because they say vnto you, Thou land deuourest vp men, and hast bereaued thy nations,
36:14	Therefore thou shalt deuoure men no more, neither bereaue thy nations any more, saith the Lord God.
36:15	Neither will I cause men to heare in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou beare the reproch of the people any more, neither shalt thou cause the nations to fall any more, saith the Lord God.
36:16	Moreouer the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
36:17	Sonne of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their owne way, and by their doings: their way was before me as the vncleannesse of a remooued woman.
36:18	Wherefore I powred my furie vpon them for the blood that they had shed vpon the land, and for their idoles wherewith they had polluted it.
36:19	And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countreys: according to their way and according to their doings I iudged them.
36:20	And when they entred vnto the heathen whither they went, they prophaned my holy Name, when they said to them, These are the people of the Lord, and are gone forth out of his land.
36:21	But I had pitie for mine holy Name, which the house of Israel had prophaned among the heathen, whither they went.
36:22	Therefore say vnto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God, I doe not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy Names sake, which ye haue prophaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
36:23	And I will sanctifie my great Name which was prophaned among the heathen, which ye haue prophaned in the midst of them, and the heathen shall know, that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
36:24	For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countreys, and will bring you into your owne land.
36:25	Then will I sprinckle cleane water vpon you, and ye shalbe cleane: from all your filthinesse, and from all your idoles wil I cleanse you.
36:26	A new heart also will I giue you, and a new spirit will I put within you, and I will take away the stonie heart out of your flesh, and I will giue you an heart of flesh.
36:27	And I wil put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walke in my Statutes, and ye shall keepe my iudgements, and doe them.
36:28	And ye shall dwel in the land that I gaue to your fathers, and ye shall be my people, and I wil be your God.
36:29	I wil also saue you from all your vncleannesses, and I will call for the corne, and will increase it, and lay no famine vpon you.
36:30	And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that yee shall receiue no more reproch of famine among the heathen.
36:31	Then shall yee remember your owne euil waies, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe your selues in your owne sight for your iniquities, and for your abominations.
36:32	Not for your sakes doe I this, saith the Lord God, be it knowen vnto you: be ashamed and confounded for your owne wayes, O house of Israel.
36:33	Thus saith the Lord God, In the day that I shall haue cleansed you from all your iniquities, I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shalbe builded.
36:34	And the desolate land shalbe tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.
36:35	And they shall say, This land that was desolate, is become like the garden of Eden, and the waste and desolate and ruined cities, are become fenced, and are inhabited.
36:36	Then the heathen that are left round about you, shall know that I the Lord build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the Lord haue spoken it, and I wil doe it.
36:37	Thus saith the Lord God, I wil yet for this bee enquired of by the house of Israel, to doe it for them: I will increase them with men like a flocke.
36:38	As the holy flocke, as the flocke of Ierusalem in her solemne feastes, so shal the waste cities be filled with flocks of men, and they shall know that I am the Lord.

36:4	Therefore ye mountaines of Israel, heare the worde of the Lord God, Thus sayth the Lord God to the mountaines and to the hilles, to the riuers, and to the valleys, and to the waste, and desolate places, and to the cities that are forsaken: which are spoyled and had in derision of the residue of the heathen that are round about.
36:5	Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Surely in the fire of mine indignation haue I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which haue taken my lande for their possession, with the ioy of all their heart, and with despitefull mindes to cast it out for a pray.
36:6	Prophesie therfore vpon the land of Israel, and say vnto the mountaines, and to the hilles, to the riuers, and to the valleys, Thus sayth the Lord God, Behold, I haue spoken in mine indignation, and in my wrath, because yee haue suffered the shame of the heathen,
36:7	Therefore thus saith the Lord God, I haue lifted vp mine hand, surely the heathen that are about you, shall beare their shame.
36:8	But you, O mountaines of Israel, yee shall shoote forth your branches, and bring foorth your fruite to my people of Israel: for they are ready to come.
36:9	For behold, I come vnto you, and I wil turne vnto you, and ye shalbe tilled and sowen.
36:10	And I wil multiply the men vpon you, euen all the house of Israel wholly, and the cities shalbe inhabited, and the desolate places shalbe builded.
36:11	And I wil multiply vpon you man and beast, and they shall encrease, and bring fruite, and I will cause you to dwell after your olde estate, and I will bestowe benefites vpon you more then at the first, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
36:12	Yea, I wil cause men to walke vpon you, euen my people Israel, and they shall possesse you, and ye shalbe their inheritance, and ye shall no more henceforth depriue them of men.
36:13	Thus sayth the Lord God, because they say vnto you, Thou land deuourest vp men, and hast bene a waster of thy people,
36:14	Therefore thou shalt deuoure men no more, neither waste thy people henceforth, sayth the Lord God,
36:15	Neither will I cause men to heare in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou beare the reproche of the people any more, neither shalt cause thy folke to fal any more, saith the Lord God.
36:16	Moreouer the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
36:17	Sonne of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their owne lande, they defiled it by their owne wayes, and by their deedes: their way was before me as the filthinesse of the menstruous.
36:18	Wherfore I powred my wrath vpon them, for the blood that they had shed in the land, and for their idoles, wherewith they had polluted it.
36:19	And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries for according to their wayes, and according to their deedes, I iudged them.
36:20	And when they entred vnto the heathen, whither they went, they polluted mine holy Name, when they sayd of them, These are the people of the Lord, and are gone out of his land.
36:21	But I fauoured mine holy Name which the house of Israel had polluted among the heathen, whither they went.
36:22	Therfore say vnto the house of Israel, Thus saith ye Lord God, I doe not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy Names sake, which yee polluted among the heathen whither ye went.
36:23	And I wil sanctifie my great Name, which was polluted among the heathen, among whome you haue polluted it, and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, sayth the Lord God, when I shalbe sanctified in you before their eyes.
36:24	For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your owne land.
36:25	Then wil I powre cleane water vpon you, and ye shalbe cleane: yea, from all your filthines, and from all your idoles wil I clense you.
36:26	A newe heart also will I giue you, and a new spirit wil I put within you, and I will take away the stonie heart out of your body, and I will giue you an heart of flesh.
36:27	And I will put my spirite within you, and cause you to walke in my statutes, and ye shall keepe my iudgements and do them.
36:28	And ye shall dwell in the land, that I gaue to your fathers, and ye shalbe my people, and I will be your God.
36:29	I will also deliuer you from all your filthinesse, and I will call for corne, and will increase it, and lay no famine vpon you.
36:30	For I will multiplie the fruite of the trees, and the increase of the fielde, that ye shall beare no more the reproch of famine among the heathen.
36:31	Then shall ye remember your owne wicked wayes, and your deedes that were not good, and shall iudge your selues worthie to haue bene destroyed for your iniquities, and for your abominations.
36:32	Be it knowen vnto you that I do not this for your sakes, sayth the Lord God: therefore, O ye house of Israel, be ashamed, and confounded for your owne wayes.
36:33	Thus sayth the Lord God, What time as I shall haue clensed you from all your iniquities, I will cause you to dwel in the cities, and the desolate places shalbe builded.
36:34	And the desolate land shalbe tilled, whereas it lay waste in the sight of all that passed by.
36:35	For they sayd, This waste land was like the garden of Eden, and these waste and desolate and ruinous cities were strong, and were inhabited.
36:36	Then the residue of the heathen that are left round about you, shall know that I the Lord builde the ruinous places, and plant the desolate places: I the Lord haue spoken it, and wil do it.
36:37	Thus saith the Lord God, I will yet for this be sought of ye house of Israel, to performe it vnto them: I wil encrease them with men like a flocke.
36:38	As the holy flocke, as the flocke of Ierusalem in their solemne feastes, so shall the desolate cities be filled with flockes of men, and they shall know, that I am the Lord.

36:2	Thus sayeth the Lord God. Because your enemye hath sayde vpon you: A, ha, the hye euerlastynge places are now become ours,
36:3	prophecy therfore, & speake: thus sayeth the Lord God. Seynge ye be wasted and trode downe on euery syde, and become a possession vnto the residue of the Gentiles, which haue brought you into mens mouthes and vnto an euell name amonge the people.
36:4	Therfore, heare the worde of the Lord God, O ye mountaynes of Israell. Thus sayeth the Lord God vnto the mountaynes and hilles, valleys and dales, to the voyde wyldernesse and desolate cityes, which are spoyled, & had in derision on euery syde, amonge the residue of the Heathen.
36:5	Yee, euen thus sayeth the Lord God. In the fyre of my gelousy haue I taken a deuyce, agaynst the residue of the Gentiles, & agaynst all Edom: which haue taken in my lande vnto them selues for a possession: which also reioysed from their whole hert with a despitefull stomacke, to waste it, and to spoyle it.
36:6	Prophecy therfore vpon the lande of Israell, speake vnto the mountaynes & hilles to valleys and dales, thus sayeth the Lord God. Behold, this haue I deuised in my gelousy & terrible wrath. For so moche as ye haue suffred reprofe of the Heathen,
36:7	therfore thus saieth the Lord God. I haue sworne, that the Gentiles which lye aboute you, shal beare their confusion them selues.
36:8	And as for you (O mountaynes of Israel) ye shall shute out your braunches, and bringe forth your frute to my people of Israell, for it is hard by, that it will come.
36:9	Beholde, I come vnto you, and vnto you wyll I turne me, that ye maye be tylled and sowne.
36:10	I wyll sende you moch people, which shalbe all of the house of Israell, the cityes shalbe inhabited, & the decayed places shalbe repaired agayne,
36:11	I wil prouide you with moch people and catell, which shal increase and bringe frute, I wyll restore you also to your olde estate & shewe you more kyndnes then euer ye had before: wherby ye shal knowe, that I am the Lord.
36:12	Yee, people wyll I send vnto you (O my folke of Israel) which shall haue the in possession, and thou shalt be their inheritaunce, so that thou shalt nomore be without them.
36:13	Agayne, thus sayeth the Lorde God. For so moch as they saye vnto you, thou art an eater vp of men, and a waster of thy people:
36:14	therfore thou shalt eate no mo men, nether destroye thy people eny more, sayeth the Lord God.
36:15	And I will not suffre the, for to heare thine awne confusion amonge the Gentiles from hensforth. Thou shalt not beare the reprofe of the nacions, ner cast out thyne awne people eny more, saieth the Lord God.
36:16	Moreouer, the worde of the Lorde came vnto me, saying.
36:17	O thou sonne of man, when the house of Israell dwelt vpon their awne grounde, they defiled them selues wt their awne wayes & ymaginacions: so that in my sight their waye was lyke the vnclennesse of a menstruous woman.
36:18	Wherfore, I poured my wrothfull displeasure vpon them, because of the bloude that they had shed in the lande, & because of their Idols, wherwith they had defiled them selues.
36:19	I scatred them also amonge the Heathen, so that they were strawed aboute in the landes. Accordinge to their wayes & after theyr awne inuencyons, so dyd I punishe them.
36:20	Now, when they were gone vnto the Heathen, & come in amonge them, they dishonoured my holy name: so that it was sayde of them. Are these the people of God, & must go out of their awne land?
36:21	Then spared I my holy name, which the house of Israel had dishonoured amonge the Gentiles, to whom they came.
36:22	Therfore tell the house of Israel: Thus sayeth the Lord God: I do not this for your sakes (O house of Israell) but for my holy names sake, whych ye dishonoured amonge the Heathen, when ye came to them.
36:23	Therfore, I wyll halowe my greate name agayne, which amonge the Gentiles is euell spoken of: for ye your selues haue dishonoured it amonge them. And the Gentiles shal knowe that I am the Lord, whan I am honoured in you before their eyes, sayeth the Lorde God.
36:24	As for you, I will take you from amonge the Heathen, and gather you together out of all countres, and brynge you agayne into your awne lande.
36:25	Then will I poure cleare water vpon you, and ye shalbe clene: yee, from all your vnclennesse and from all your Idols shall I clense you.
36:26	A new herte also will I geue you, and a new sprete will I put into you. As for that stony herte, I will take it out of youre body, & geue you a fleshly herte.
36:27	I will geue my sprete amonge you & cause you to walcke in my commaundementes to kepe my lawes, and to fulfill them.
36:28	And so ye shall dwell in the land, that I gaue to your forefathers, and ye shalbe my people, and I wilbe your God.
36:29	I will helpe you out of all your vnclennes. I will call for the corne, and will increase it, & let you haue no honger.
36:30	I will multiplie the frutes of the trees and the increase of the felde for you, so that ye shall beare no more reprofe of honger, amonge the Heathen.
36:31	Then shal ye remembre your awne wicked wayes, & your ymaginacions, which were not good: so that ye shal thinke that ye were worthy to be destroyed: for your synnes and abhominacyons.
36:32	But I wyll not do thys for youre sakes (saieth the Lord God) be ye sure of it. Therfore, O ye house of Israell, be ashamed of your sinnes.
36:33	Moreouer, thus saieth the Lord God: what tyme as I shall clense you from all youre offences, then will I make the cyties to be occupied agayne, and will repaire the places that be decayed.
36:34	The desolate lande shal be builded agayne, which afore time laye waste in the sight of all them that wente by.
36:35	Then shal it be sayde: this waste lande is become lyke a garden of pleasure, and the voyde, desolate & broken downe cityes are now strong, & defensed agayne.
36:36	Then the residue of the Heathen that lye rounde about you, shal knowe that I am the Lorde, which repaire that was broken downe, and plante agayne, that was made waste. Euen I the Lord haue spoken it, and will do it in dede.
36:37	Thus sayeth the Lorde God: I wyll yet once be founde agayne of the house of Israel, and do this for them: I shal increase them as a flocke of men.
36:38	Lyke as the holy flocke & the flocke of Ierusalem are in the hye solempne feastes: so shall also the wilde wasted cyties be filled with flockes of men: and they shall knowe that I am the Lorde.
