Leviticus - Chapter: 23


23:1	And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
23:2	Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
23:3	Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
23:4	These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.
23:5	In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD's passover.
23:6	And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.
23:7	In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
23:8	But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
23:9	And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
23:10	Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
23:11	And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
23:12	And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD.
23:13	And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.
23:14	And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
23:15	And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
23:16	Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.
23:17	Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD.
23:18	And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD.
23:19	Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.
23:20	And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the LORD with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.
23:21	And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
23:22	And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.
23:23	And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
23:24	Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
23:25	Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
23:26	And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
23:27	Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
23:28	And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God.
23:29	For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
23:30	And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
23:31	Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
23:32	It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.
23:33	And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
23:34	Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD.
23:35	On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
23:36	Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.
23:37	These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:
23:38	Beside the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD.
23:39	Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
23:40	And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.
23:41	And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
23:42	Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:
23:43	That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
23:44	And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.


23:1	וידבר יהוה אל משׁה לאמר׃
23:2	דבר אל בני ישׂראל ואמרת אלהם מועדי יהוה אשׁר תקראו אתם מקראי קדשׁ אלה הם מועדי׃
23:3	שׁשׁת ימים תעשׂה מלאכה וביום השׁביעי שׁבת שׁבתון מקרא קדשׁ כל מלאכה לא תעשׂו שׁבת הוא ליהוה בכל מושׁבתיכם׃
23:4	אלה מועדי יהוה מקראי קדשׁ אשׁר תקראו אתם במועדם׃
23:5	בחדשׁ הראשׁון בארבעה עשׂר לחדשׁ בין הערבים פסח ליהוה׃
23:6	ובחמשׁה עשׂר יום לחדשׁ הזה חג המצות ליהוה שׁבעת ימים מצות תאכלו׃
23:7	ביום הראשׁון מקרא קדשׁ יהיה לכם כל מלאכת עבדה לא תעשׂו׃
23:8	והקרבתם אשׁה ליהוה שׁבעת ימים ביום השׁביעי מקרא קדשׁ כל מלאכת עבדה לא תעשׂו׃
23:9	וידבר יהוה אל משׁה לאמר׃
23:10	דבר אל בני ישׂראל ואמרת אלהם כי תבאו אל הארץ אשׁר אני נתן לכם וקצרתם את קצירה והבאתם את עמר ראשׁית קצירכם אל הכהן׃
23:11	והניף את העמר לפני יהוה לרצנכם ממחרת השׁבת יניפנו הכהן׃
23:12	ועשׂיתם ביום הניפכם את העמר כבשׂ תמים בן שׁנתו לעלה ליהוה׃
23:13	ומנחתו שׁני עשׂרנים סלת בלולה בשׁמן אשׁה ליהוה ריח ניחח ונסכה יין רביעת ההין׃
23:14	ולחם וקלי וכרמל לא תאכלו עד עצם היום הזה עד הביאכם את קרבן אלהיכם חקת עולם לדרתיכם בכל משׁבתיכם׃
23:15	וספרתם לכם ממחרת השׁבת מיום הביאכם את עמר התנופה שׁבע שׁבתות תמימת תהיינה׃
23:16	עד ממחרת השׁבת השׁביעת תספרו חמשׁים יום והקרבתם מנחה חדשׁה ליהוה׃
23:17	ממושׁבתיכם תביאו לחם תנופה שׁתים שׁני עשׂרנים סלת תהיינה חמץ תאפינה בכורים ליהוה׃
23:18	והקרבתם על הלחם שׁבעת כבשׂים תמימם בני שׁנה ופר בן בקר אחד ואילם שׁנים יהיו עלה ליהוה ומנחתם ונסכיהם אשׁה ריח ניחח ליהוה׃
23:19	ועשׂיתם שׂעיר עזים אחד לחטאת ושׁני כבשׂים בני שׁנה לזבח שׁלמים׃
23:20	והניף הכהן אתם על לחם הבכרים תנופה לפני יהוה על שׁני כבשׂים קדשׁ יהיו ליהוה לכהן׃
23:21	וקראתם בעצם היום הזה מקרא קדשׁ יהיה לכם כל מלאכת עבדה לא תעשׂו חקת עולם בכל מושׁבתיכם לדרתיכם׃
23:22	ובקצרכם את קציר ארצכם לא תכלה פאת שׂדך בקצרך ולקט קצירך לא תלקט לעני ולגר תעזב אתם אני יהוה אלהיכם׃
23:23	וידבר יהוה אל משׁה לאמר׃
23:24	דבר אל בני ישׂראל לאמר בחדשׁ השׁביעי באחד לחדשׁ יהיה לכם שׁבתון זכרון תרועה מקרא קדשׁ׃
23:25	כל מלאכת עבדה לא תעשׂו והקרבתם אשׁה ליהוה׃
23:26	וידבר יהוה אל משׁה לאמר׃
23:27	אך בעשׂור לחדשׁ השׁביעי הזה יום הכפרים הוא מקרא קדשׁ יהיה לכם ועניתם את נפשׁתיכם והקרבתם אשׁה ליהוה׃
23:28	וכל מלאכה לא תעשׂו בעצם היום הזה כי יום כפרים הוא לכפר עליכם לפני יהוה אלהיכם׃
23:29	כי כל הנפשׁ אשׁר לא תענה בעצם היום הזה ונכרתה מעמיה׃
23:30	וכל הנפשׁ אשׁר תעשׂה כל מלאכה בעצם היום הזה והאבדתי את הנפשׁ ההוא מקרב עמה׃
23:31	כל מלאכה לא תעשׂו חקת עולם לדרתיכם בכל משׁבתיכם׃
23:32	שׁבת שׁבתון הוא לכם ועניתם את נפשׁתיכם בתשׁעה לחדשׁ בערב מערב עד ערב תשׁבתו שׁבתכם׃
23:33	וידבר יהוה אל משׁה לאמר׃
23:34	דבר אל בני ישׂראל לאמר בחמשׁה עשׂר יום לחדשׁ השׁביעי הזה חג הסכות שׁבעת ימים ליהוה׃
23:35	ביום הראשׁון מקרא קדשׁ כל מלאכת עבדה לא תעשׂו׃
23:36	שׁבעת ימים תקריבו אשׁה ליהוה ביום השׁמיני מקרא קדשׁ יהיה לכם והקרבתם אשׁה ליהוה עצרת הוא כל מלאכת עבדה לא תעשׂו׃
23:37	אלה מועדי יהוה אשׁר תקראו אתם מקראי קדשׁ להקריב אשׁה ליהוה עלה ומנחה זבח ונסכים דבר יום ביומו׃
23:38	מלבד שׁבתת יהוה ומלבד מתנותיכם ומלבד כל נדריכם ומלבד כל נדבתיכם אשׁר תתנו ליהוה׃
23:39	אך בחמשׁה עשׂר יום לחדשׁ השׁביעי באספכם את תבואת הארץ תחגו את חג יהוה שׁבעת ימים ביום הראשׁון שׁבתון וביום השׁמיני שׁבתון׃
23:40	ולקחתם לכם ביום הראשׁון פרי עץ הדר כפת תמרים וענף עץ עבת וערבי נחל ושׂמחתם לפני יהוה אלהיכם שׁבעת ימים׃
23:41	וחגתם אתו חג ליהוה שׁבעת ימים בשׁנה חקת עולם לדרתיכם בחדשׁ השׁביעי תחגו אתו׃
23:42	בסכת תשׁבו שׁבעת ימים כל האזרח בישׂראל ישׁבו בסכת׃
23:43	למען ידעו דרתיכם כי בסכות הושׁבתי את בני ישׂראל בהוציאי אותם מארץ מצרים אני יהוה אלהיכם׃
23:44	וידבר משׁה את מעדי יהוה אל בני ישׂראל׃


23:1	And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
23:2	`Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, Appointed seasons of Jehovah, which ye proclaim, holy convocations, `are' these: they `are' My appointed seasons:
23:3	six days is work done, and in the seventh day `is' a sabbath of rest, a holy convocation; ye do no work; it `is' a sabbath to Jehovah in all your dwellings.
23:4	`These `are' appointed seasons of Jehovah, holy convocations, which ye proclaim in their appointed seasons:
23:5	in the first month, on the fourteenth of the month, between the evenings, `is' the passover to Jehovah;
23:6	and on the fifteenth day of this month `is' the feast of unleavened things to Jehovah; seven days unleavened things ye do eat;
23:7	on the first day ye have a holy convocation, ye do no servile work;
23:8	and ye have brought near a fire-offering to Jehovah seven days; in the seventh day `is' a holy convocation; ye do no servile work.'
23:9	And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
23:10	`Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When ye come in unto the land which I am giving to you, and have reaped its harvest, and have brought in the sheaf, the beginning of your harvest unto the priest,
23:11	then he hath waved the sheaf before Jehovah for your acceptance; on the morrow of the sabbath doth the priest wave it.
23:12	`And ye have prepared in the day of your waving the sheaf a lamb, a perfect one, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering to Jehovah,
23:13	and its present two tenth deals of flour mixed with oil, a fire-offering to Jehovah, a sweet fragrance, and its drink-offering, wine, a fourth of the hin.
23:14	`And bread and roasted corn and full ears ye do not eat until this self-same day, until your bringing in the offering of your God -- a statute age-during to your generations, in all your dwellings.
23:15	`And ye have numbered to you from the morrow of the sabbath, from the day of your bringing in the sheaf of the wave-offering: they are seven perfect sabbaths;
23:16	unto the morrow of the seventh sabbath ye do number fifty days, and ye have brought near a new present to Jehovah;
23:17	out of your dwellings ye bring in bread of a wave-offering, two `loaves', of two tenth deals of flour they are, `with' yeast they are baken, first-`fruits' to Jehovah.
23:18	`And ye have brought near, besides the bread, seven lambs, perfect ones, sons of a year, and one bullock, a son of the herd, and two rams; they are a burnt-offering to Jehovah, with their present and their libations, a fire-offering of sweet fragrance to Jehovah.
23:19	`And ye have prepared one kid of the goats for a sin-offering, and two lambs, sons of a year, for a sacrifice of peace-offerings,
23:20	and the priest hath waved them, besides the bread of the first-`fruits' -- a wave-offering before Jehovah, besides the two lambs; they are holy to Jehovah for the priest;
23:21	and ye have proclaimed on this self-same day: a holy convocation is to you, ye do no servile work -- a statute age-during in all your dwellings, to your generations.
23:22	`And in your reaping the harvest of your land thou dost not complete the corner of thy field in thy reaping, and the gleaning of thy harvest thou dost not gather, to the poor and to the sojourner thou dost leave them; I Jehovah `am' your God.'
23:23	And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
23:24	`Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first of the month, ye have a sabbath, a memorial of shouting, a holy convocation;
23:25	ye do no servile work, and ye have brought near a fire-offering to Jehovah.'
23:26	And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
23:27	`Only -- on the tenth of this seventh month is a day of atonements; ye have a holy convocation, and ye have humbled yourselves, and have brought near a fire-offering to Jehovah;
23:28	and ye do no work in this self-same day, for it is a day of atonements, to make atonement for you, before Jehovah your God.
23:29	`For any person who is not humbled in this self-same day hath even been cut off from his people;
23:30	and any person who doth any work in this self-same day I have even destroyed that person from the midst of his people;
23:31	ye do no work -- a statute age-during to your generations in all your dwellings.
23:32	It `is' a sabbath of rest to you, and ye have humbled yourselves in the ninth of the month at even; from evening till evening ye do keep your sabbath.'
23:33	And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
23:34	`Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, In the fifteenth day of this seventh month `is' a feast of booths seven days to Jehovah;
23:35	on the first day `is' a holy convocation, ye do no servile work,
23:36	seven days ye bring near a fire-offering to Jehovah, on the eighth day ye have a holy convocation, and ye have brought near a fire-offering to Jehovah; it `is' a restraint, ye do no servile work.
23:37	`These `are' appointed seasons of Jehovah, which ye proclaim holy convocations, to bring near a fire-offering to Jehovah, a burnt-offering, and a present, a sacrifice, and libations, a thing of a day in its day,
23:38	apart from the sabbaths of Jehovah, and apart from your gifts, and apart from all your vows, and apart from all your willing-offerings, which ye give to Jehovah.
23:39	`Only -- in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, in your gathering the increase of the land, ye do keep the feast of Jehovah seven days; on the first day `is' a sabbath, and on the eighth day a sabbath;
23:40	and ye have taken to yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palms, and boughs of thick trees, and willows of a brook, and have rejoiced before Jehovah your God seven days.
23:41	`And ye have kept it a feast to Jehovah, seven days in a year -- a statute age-during to your generations; in the seventh month ye keep it a feast.
23:42	`In booths ye dwell seven days; all who are natives in Israel dwell in booths,
23:43	so that your generations do know that in booths I caused the sons of Israel to dwell; in my bringing them out of the land of Egypt; I, Jehovah, `am' your God.'
23:44	And Moses speaketh `concerning' the appointed seasons of Jehovah unto the sons of Israel.
