Leviticus - Chapter: 24


24:1	And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
24:2	Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.
24:3	Without the vail of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning before the LORD continually: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations.
24:4	He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the LORD continually.
24:5	And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth deals shall be in one cake.
24:6	And thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before the LORD.
24:7	And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
24:8	Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.
24:9	And it shall be Aaron's and his sons'; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.
24:10	And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;
24:11	And the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the name of the LORD, and cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:)
24:12	And they put him in ward, that the mind of the LORD might be shewed them.
24:13	And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
24:14	Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.
24:15	And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.
24:16	And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall be put to death.
24:17	And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death.
24:18	And he that killeth a beast shall make it good; beast for beast.
24:19	And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;
24:20	Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.
24:21	And he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it: and he that killeth a man, he shall be put to death.
24:22	Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God.
24:23	And Moses spake to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses.


24:1	וידבר יהוה אל משׁה לאמר׃
24:2	צו את בני ישׂראל ויקחו אליך שׁמן זית זך כתית למאור להעלת נר תמיד׃
24:3	מחוץ לפרכת העדת באהל מועד יערך אתו אהרן מערב עד בקר לפני יהוה תמיד חקת עולם לדרתיכם׃
24:4	על המנרה הטהרה יערך את הנרות לפני יהוה תמיד׃
24:5	ולקחת סלת ואפית אתה שׁתים עשׂרה חלות שׁני עשׂרנים יהיה החלה האחת׃
24:6	ושׂמת אותם שׁתים מערכות שׁשׁ המערכת על השׁלחן הטהר לפני יהוה׃
24:7	ונתת על המערכת לבנה זכה והיתה ללחם לאזכרה אשׁה ליהוה׃
24:8	ביום השׁבת ביום השׁבת יערכנו לפני יהוה תמיד מאת בני ישׂראל ברית עולם׃
24:9	והיתה לאהרן ולבניו ואכלהו במקום קדשׁ כי קדשׁ קדשׁים הוא לו מאשׁי יהוה חק עולם׃
24:10	ויצא בן אשׁה ישׂראלית והוא בן אישׁ מצרי בתוך בני ישׂראל וינצו במחנה בן הישׂראלית ואישׁ הישׂראלי׃
24:11	ויקב בן האשׁה הישׂראלית את השׁם ויקלל ויביאו אתו אל משׁה ושׁם אמו שׁלמית בת דברי למטה דן׃
24:12	ויניחהו במשׁמר לפרשׁ להם על פי יהוה׃
24:13	וידבר יהוה אל משׁה לאמר׃
24:14	הוצא את המקלל אל מחוץ למחנה וסמכו כל השׁמעים את ידיהם על ראשׁו ורגמו אתו כל העדה׃
24:15	ואל בני ישׂראל תדבר לאמר אישׁ אישׁ כי יקלל אלהיו ונשׂא חטאו׃
24:16	ונקב שׁם יהוה מות יומת רגום ירגמו בו כל העדה כגר כאזרח בנקבו שׁם יומת׃
24:17	ואישׁ כי יכה כל נפשׁ אדם מות יומת׃
24:18	ומכה נפשׁ בהמה ישׁלמנה נפשׁ תחת נפשׁ׃
24:19	ואישׁ כי יתן מום בעמיתו כאשׁר עשׂה כן יעשׂה׃
24:20	שׁבר תחת שׁבר עין תחת עין שׁן תחת שׁן כאשׁר יתן מום באדם כן ינתן׃
24:21	ומכה בהמה ישׁלמנה ומכה אדם יומת׃
24:22	משׁפט אחד יהיה לכם כגר כאזרח יהיה כי אני יהוה אלהיכם׃
24:23	וידבר משׁה אל בני ישׂראל ויוציאו את המקלל אל מחוץ למחנה וירגמו אתו אבן ובני ישׂראל עשׂו כאשׁר צוה יהוה את משׁה׃


24:1	And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
24:2	`Command the sons of Israel, and they bring unto thee pure olive oil, beaten, for the lamp, to cause a light to go up continually;
24:3	at the outside of the vail of the testimony in the tent of meeting doth Aaron arrange it from evening till morning before Jehovah continually -- a statute age-during to your generations;
24:4	by the pure candlestick he doth arrange the lights before Jehovah continually.
24:5	`And thou hast taken flour, and hast baked twelve cakes with it, two tenth deals are in the one cake,
24:6	and thou hast set them two ranks (six in the rank) on the pure table before Jehovah,
24:7	and thou hast put on the rank pure frankincense, and it hath been to the bread for a memorial, a fire-offering to Jehovah.
24:8	`On each sabbath-day he arrangeth it before Jehovah continually, from the sons of Israel -- a covenant age-during;
24:9	and it hath been to Aaron, and to his sons, and they have eaten it in the holy place, for it `is' most holy to him, from the fire-offerings of Jehovah -- a statute age-during.'
24:10	And a son of an Israelitish woman goeth out (and he `is' son of an Egyptian man), in the midst of the sons of Israel, and strive in the camp do the son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel,
24:11	and the son of the Israelitish woman execrateth the Name, and revileth; and they bring him in unto Moses; and his mother's name `is' Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan;
24:12	and he causeth him to rest in charge -- to explain to them by the mouth of Jehovah.
24:13	And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
24:14	`Bring out the reviler unto the outside of the camp; and all those hearing have laid their hands on his head, and all the company have stoned him.
24:15	`And unto the sons of Israel thou dost speak, saying, When any man revileth his God -- then he hath borne his sin;
24:16	and he who is execrating the name of Jehovah is certainly put to death; all the company do certainly cast stones at him; as a sojourner so a native, in his execrating the Name, is put to death.
24:17	`And when a man smiteth any soul of man, he is certainly put to death.
24:18	`And he who smiteth a beast repayeth it, body for body.
24:19	`And when a man putteth a blemish in his fellow, as he hath done so it is done to him;
24:20	breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he putteth a blemish in a man so it is done in him.
24:21	`And he who smiteth a beast repayeth it, and he who smiteth `the life of' man is put to death;
24:22	one judgment is to you; as a sojourner so is a native; for I `am' Jehovah your God.'
24:23	And Moses speaketh unto the sons of Israel, and they bring out the reviler unto the outside of the camp, and stone him with stones; and the sons of Israel have done as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
