Matthew - Chapter: 7

>
7:1`Judge not, that ye may not be judged,
7:2for in what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged, and in what measure ye measure, it shall be measured to you.
7:3`And why dost thou behold the mote that `is' in thy brother's eye, and the beam that `is' in thine own eye dost not consider?
7:4or, how wilt thou say to thy brother, Suffer I may cast out the mote from thine eye, and lo, the beam `is' in thine own eye?
7:5Hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then thou shalt see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
7:6`Ye may not give that which is `holy' to the dogs, nor cast your pearls before the swine, that they may not trample them among their feet, and having turned -- may rend you.
7:7`Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you;
7:8for every one who is asking doth receive, and he who is seeking doth find, and to him who is knocking it shall be opened.
7:9`Or what man is of you, of whom, if his son may ask a loaf -- a stone will he present to him?
7:10and if a fish he may ask -- a serpent will he present to him?
7:11if, therefore, ye being evil, have known good gifts to give to your children, how much more shall your Father who `is' in the heavens give good things to those asking him?
7:12`All things, therefore, whatever ye may will that men may be doing to you, so also do to them, for this is the law and the prophets.
7:13`Go ye in through the strait gate, because wide `is' the gate, and broad the way that is leading to the destruction, and many are those going in through it;
7:14how strait `is' the gate, and compressed the way that is leading to the life, and few are those finding it!
7:15`But, take heed of the false prophets, who come unto you in sheep's clothing, and inwardly are ravening wolves.
7:16From their fruits ye shall know them; do `men' gather from thorns grapes? or from thistles figs?
7:17so every good tree doth yield good fruits, but the bad tree doth yield evil fruits.
7:18A good tree is not able to yield evil fruits, nor a bad tree to yield good fruits.
7:19Every tree not yielding good fruit is cut down and is cast to fire:
7:20therefore from their fruits ye shall know them.
7:21`Not every one who is saying to me Lord, lord, shall come into the reign of the heavens; but he who is doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens.
7:22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, lord, have we not in thy name prophesied? and in thy name cast out demons? and in thy name done many mighty things?
7:23and then I will acknowledge to them, that -- I never knew you, depart from me ye who are working lawlessness.
7:24`Therefore, every one who doth hear of me these words, and doth do them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house upon the rock;
7:25and the rain did descend, and the streams came, and the winds blew, and they beat on that house, and it fell not, for it had been founded on the rock.
7:26`And every one who is hearing of me these words, and is not doing them, shall be likened to a foolish man who built his house upon the sand;
7:27and the rain did descend, and the streams came, and the winds blew, and they beat on that house, and it fell, and its fall was great.'
7:28And it came to pass, when Jesus ended these words, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching,
7:29for he was teaching them as having authority, and not as the scribes.

7:1Iudge not that ye be not iudged.
7:2For as ye iudge so shall ye be iudged. And wt what mesure ye mete wt the same shall it be mesured to you agayne.
7:3Why seist thou a moote in thy brothers eye and perceavest not the beame yt ys yn thyne awne eye.
7:4Or why sayest thou to thy brother: suffre me to plucke oute the moote oute of thyne eye and behold a beame is in thyne awne eye.
7:5Ypocryte fyrst cast oute the beame oute of thyne awne eye and then shalte thou se clearly to plucke oute the moote out of thy brothers eye.
7:6Geve not that which is holy to dogges nether cast ye youre pearles before swyne lest they treade them vnder their fete and ye other tourne agayne and all to rent you.
7:7Axe and it shalbe geven you. Seke and ye shall fynd. knocke and it shalbe opened vnto you.
7:8For whosoever axeth receaveth and he yt seketh fyndeth and to hym that knocketh it shalbe opened.
7:9Ys there eny man amoge you which if his sonne axed hym bread wolde offer him astone?
7:10Or if he axed fysshe wolde he proffer hym a serpet?
7:11Yf ye then which are evyll cane geve to youre chyldren good gyftes: how moche moore shall youre father which is in heve geve good thynges to them yt axe hym?
7:12Therfore whatsoever ye wolde that men shulde do to you even so do ye to them. This ys the lawe and the Prophettes.
7:13Enter in at the strayte gate: for wyde is ye gate and broade is the waye that leadeth to destruccion: and many ther be which goo yn therat.
7:14But strayte is the gate and narowe ys the waye which leadeth vnto lyfe: and feawe there be that fynde it.
7:15Beware of false Prophetes which come to you in shepes clothinge but inwardly they are ravenynge wolves.
7:16Ye shall knowe them by their frutes. Do men gaddre grapes of thornes? or figges of bryres?
7:17Euen soo every good tree bryngeth forthe good frute. But a corrupte tree bryngethe forthe evyll frute.
7:18A good tree canot brynge forthe bad frute: nor yet a bad tree can bringe forthe good frute.
7:19Every tree that bryngethe not forthe good frute shalbe hewe doune and cast into the fyre.
7:20Wherfore by their frutes ye shall knowe the.
7:21Not all they that saye vnto me Master Master shall enter in to the kyngdome of heven: but he that dothe my fathers will which ys in heven.
7:22Many will saye to me in that daye Master master have we not in thy name prophesied? And in thy name have caste oute devyls? And in thy name have done many miracles?
7:23And then will I knowlege vnto them that I never knewe them. Departe from me ye workers of iniquite.
7:24Whosoever heareth of me these sayinges and doethe the same I wyll lyken hym vnto a wyse man which bylt hys housse on a rocke:
7:25and aboundance of rayne descended and the fluddes came and the wyndes blewe and bet vpon that same housse and it fell not because it was grounded on the rocke.
7:26And whosoever heareth of me these sayinges and doth the not shalbe lykened vnto a folysh man which bilt hys housse apo the sondes:
7:27and abundauce of rayne descended and the fluddes came and ye wyndes blewe and beet vpon that housse and it fell and great was the fall of it.
7:28And it came to passe that when Iesus had ended these saynges the people were astonnyed at hys doctryne.
7:29For he taught them as one havynge power and not as the Scribes.

7:1Ivdge not, that ye be not iudged:
7:2For as ye iudge, so shal ye be iudged. And with what measure ye meete, with the same shall it be measured to you agayne.
7:3Why seist thou a moate in thy brothers eye, and perceauest not the beame yt is yn thine awne eye?
7:4Or why saiest thou to yi brother: holde, I wil plucke the moate out of thyne eye, and beholde, a beame is in thyne awne eye.
7:5Ypocryte, fyrst cast out the beame out of thyne awne eye, and then shalt thou se clearly, to plucke out the moate out of thy brothers eye.
7:6Geue not that which is holy, to dogges: nether cast ye youre pearles before swyne, lest they treade them vnder their fete, & the other turne agayne and all to rente you.
7:7Axe, and it shalbe geuen you: Seke, and ye shall fynde: knocke, and it shalbe opened vnto you.
7:8For whosoeuer axeth, receaueth: and he that seketh, fyndeth: and to hym yt knocketh, it shal opened.
7:9Ys there eny man amonge you, which yf his sonne axed hym bred, wolde offer him a stone?
7:10Or yf he axed fysshe, wolde he proffer hym a serpent?
7:11yf ye then which are euell, can geue youre chyldren good gyftes: how moche more shall youre father which is in heauen, geue good thynges to them that axe hym?
7:12Therfore what soeuer ye wolde that me shulde do to you, eue so do ye to them. This ys the lawe and the Prophetes.
7:13Enter in at the strayte gate: for wyde is the gate, and broade is the waye, that leadeth to destruccion: & many there be, which go in therat.
7:14But strayte is the gate, and narowe ys the waye, which leadeth vnto lyfe, and fewe there be that fynde it.
7:15Beware of false Prophetes, which come to you in shepes clothinge, but inwardly they are rauenynge wolues,
7:16Ye shall knowe them by their frutes. Do men gather grapes of thornes? or figges of thistles?
7:17Euen so euery good tree bryngeth forth good frute. But a corrupte tree, bryngeth forth euyl frute,
7:18A good tree can not bryng forth bad frute: nother can a rotten tre bringe forth good frute.
7:19Euery tre that bryngeth not forth good frute, shalbe hewen downe, and cast into the fyre.
7:20Wherfore by their frutes ye shall knowe them.
7:21Not all they that saye vnto me, LORDE LORDE, shall enter in to the kyngdome of heauen: but he that doth the will of my father which ys in heauen.
7:22Many shall saye to me in that daye: LORDE, LORDE: haue we not prophecied in thy name? Haue we not cast out deuyls in thy name? Haue we not done many greate dedes in thy name?
7:23And then will I knowlege vnto them: I neuer knewe you, Departe fro me, ye workers of iniquite.
7:24Whosoeuer therfore heareth of me these sayinges, and doeth the same, I wyll lycke hym vnto a wyse man, which buylt hys house vpon a rocke:
7:25Now whan abundaunce of rayne descended, and the wyndes blewe and bet vpon that same house, it fel not, because it was grounded on the rocke.
7:26And who soeuer heareth of me these sayinges, & doth the not, shalbe lyckened vnto a folysh ma, which buylt his housse apon the sonde:
7:27Now whan abudaunce of rayne desceded, & the wyndes blewe, & bet vpon yt housse, it fell, and great was the fall of it.
7:28And it came to passe, that when Iesus had ended these saynges, the people were astonnyed at hys doctryne.
7:29For he taught them as one hauynge power, and not as the Scribes.
