Matthew - Chapter: 19

>
19:1Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these sayings, that He departed from Galilee and came to the region of Judea beyond the Jordan.
19:2And large crowds followed Him, and He healed them there.
19:3The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, "Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for just any reason?"
19:4And He answered and said to them, "Have you not read that He who made them in the beginning 'made them male and female,'"
19:5And said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will be one flesh?'"
19:6Therefore they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."
19:7They said to Him, "Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to separate from her?"
19:8He said to them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to put away your wives, but from the beginning it was not so."
19:9And I say to you, whoever puts away his wife, except it be for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is put away commits adultery."
19:10His disciples said to Him, "If this is the situation of the man with his wife, it is not good to marry."
19:11But He said to them, "Not all men can accept this saying, except those to whom it is given:"
19:12Because, there are some eunuchs who were born so from their mother's womb, and there are some eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it."
19:13Then little children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them.
19:14But Jesus said, "Permit little children to come to Me and do not forbid them; because, of such is the kingdom of heaven."
19:15And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.
19:16And, behold, one came and said to Him, "Good Teacher, what good thing should I do that I may have eternal life?"
19:17And He said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments."
19:18He said to Him, "Which ones?" Jesus said, "'You shall not murder,' 'You shall not commit adultery,' 'You shall not steal,' 'You shall not bear false witness,'
19:19'Honor your father and your mother,' and, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"
19:20The young man said to Him, "I have kept all these things from my youth. What do I still lack?"
19:21Jesus said to Him, "If you want to be perfect, go and sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come and follow Me."
19:22But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, because he had many possessions.
19:23Then Jesus said to His disciples, "Truly, I say to you, that it is hard for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven."
19:24And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."
19:25When His disciples heard it, they were greatly amazed, saying, "Who then can be saved?"
19:26But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
19:27Then Peter replied and said to Him, "Look, we have left everything, and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?"
19:28And Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, that in the regeneration when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."
19:29And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, will receive a hundredfold, and will inherit everlasting life."
19:30But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first."

19:1And it came to passe, that when Iesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galile, and came into ye coasts of Iudea beyond Iordan.
19:2And great multitudes followed him, and he healed them there.
19:3Then came vnto him the Pharises tempting him, and saying to him, Is it lawfull for a man to put away his wife vpon euery occasion?
19:4And he answered and sayd vnto them, Haue ye not read, that hee which made them at the beginning, made them male and female,
19:5And sayd, For this cause, shall a man leaue father and mother, and cleaue vnto his wife, and they which were two shalbe one flesh.
19:6Wherefore they are no more twaine, but one flesh. Let not man therefore put asunder that, which God hath coupled together.
19:7They said to him, Why did then Moses commaund to giue a bill of diuorcement, and to put her away?
19:8He sayd vnto them, Moses, because of the hardnesse of your heart, suffered you to put away your wiues: but from the beginning it was not so.
19:9I say therefore vnto you, that whosoeuer shall put away his wife, except it be for whoredome, and marry another, committeth adulterie: and whosoeuer marieth her which is diuorced, doeth commit adulterie.
19:10Then sayd his disciples to him, If the matter be so betweene man and wife, it is not good to marry.
19:11But he sayd vnto them, All men cannot receiue this thing, saue they to whom it is giuen.
19:12For there are some eunuches, which were so borne of their mothers belly: and there be some eunuches, which be gelded by men: and there be some eunuches, which haue gelded them selues for the kingdome of heauen. He that is able to receiue this, let him receiue it.
19:13Then were brought to him litle children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
19:14But Iesus sayd, Suffer the litle children, and forbid them not to come to me: for of such is the kingdome of heauen.
19:15And when he had put his hands on them, he departed thence.
19:16And beholde, one came and sayd vnto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I doe, that I may haue eternall life?
19:17And he said vnto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, eue God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keepe ye commandemets.
19:18He sayd to him, Which? And Iesus sayde, These, Thou shalt not kill: Thou shalt not commit adulterie: Thou shalt not steale: Thou shalt not beare false witnesse.
19:19Honour thy father and mother: and thou shalt loue thy neighbour as thy selfe.
19:20The yong man sayd vnto him, I haue obserued all these things from my youth: what lacke I yet?
19:21Iesus sayd vnto him, If thou wilt be perfite, go, sell that thou hast, and giue it to the poore, and thou shalt haue treasure in heauen, and come, and follow me.
19:22And when the yong man heard that saying, he went away sorowfull: for he had great possessions.
19:23Then Iesus sayd vnto his disciples, Verely I say vnto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdome of heauen.
19:24And againe I say vnto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, then for a rich man to enter into ye kingdome of God.
19:25And whe his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amased, saying, Who then can be saued?
19:26And Iesus behelde them, and sayde vnto them, With men this is vnpossible, but with God all things are possible.
19:27Then answered Peter, and said to him, Beholde, we haue forsaken all, and followed thee: what therefore shall we haue?
19:28And Iesus said vnto them, Verely I say to you, that when the Sonne of man shall sit in the throne of his maiestie, ye which folowed me in the regeneration, shall sit also vpon twelue thrones and iudge the twelue tribes of Israel.
19:29And whosoeuer shall forsake houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my Names sake, he shall receiue an hundreth folde more, and shall inherite euerlasting life.
19:30But many that are first, shalbe last, and the last shalbe first.

19:1And it came to passe when Iesus had fynisshed those sayinges he gat him from Galile and came into the coostes of Iewry beyonde Iordan
19:2and moche people folowed him and he healed them theare.
19:3Then came vnto him the pharises temtinge him and sayinge to him: Ys it lawfull for a man to put awaye his wyfe for all maner of causes?
19:4He answered and sayd vnto them: Have ye not redde how that he which made man at the beginninge made them man and woman
19:5and sayde: for this thinge shall a ma leve father and mother and cleve vnto his wyfe and they twayne shalbe one flesshe.
19:6Wherfore now are they not twayne but one flesshe. Let not man therfore put a sunder that which God hath cuppled to gedder.
19:7The sayde they to him: why did Moses comaunde to geve a testimoniall of divorsemet and to put hyr awaye?
19:8He sayde vnto them: Moses because of the hardnes of youre hertes suffred you to put awaye youre wyfes: But from ye beginnynge it was not so.
19:9I saye therfore vnto you whosoever putteth awaye his wyfe (except it be for fornicacion) and maryeth another breaketh wedlocke. And whosoever maryeth her which is divorsed doeth commyt advoutry.
19:10Then sayde his disciples to him: yf the mater be so betwene man and wyfe then is it not good to mary.
19:11He sayde vnto them: all me can not awaye with that sayinge save they to whom it is geve.
19:12Ther are chaste which were so borne out of their mothers belly. And ther are chaste which be made of men. And ther be chaste which have made them selves chaste for the kyngdome of heves sake. He that can take it let him take it.
19:13Then were brought to him yonge chyldre that he shuld put his hondes on them and praye And the disciples rebuked them.
19:14But Iesus sayde: suffre the chyldren and forbid them not to come to me: for of suche is the kyngdome of heven.
19:15And when he had put his hondes on them he departed thence.
19:16And beholde one came and sayde vnto him: good master what good thinge shall I do that I maye have eternall lyfe?
19:17He sayde vnto him: why callest thou me good? there is none good but one and that is God. But yf thou wylt entre in to lyfe kepe the commaundementes.
19:18The other sayde to him Which? And Iesus sayde: breake no wedloke kill not steale not: beare not falce witnes:
19:19honoure father and mother: and love thyne neighbour as thy sylfe.
19:20And the younge man sayde vnto him: I have observed all these thingis from my youth what lacke I yet?
19:21And Iesus sayde vnto him yf thou wylt be perfecte goo and sell that thou hast and geve it to the povre and thou shalt have treasure in heven and come and folowe me.
19:22When ye younge ma hearde yt sayinge he wet awaye mourninge. For he had greate possessions.
19:23Then Iesus sayde vnto his disciples: Verely I saye vnto you: yt is harde for a ryche ma to enter into ye kyngdome of heaven.
19:24And moreover I saye vnto you: it is easier for a camell to go through the eye of a nedle then for a ryche man to enter into the kyngdome of God.
19:25When his disciples hearde that they were excedingly amased sayinge: who then can be saved?
19:26Iesus behelde the and sayde vnto them: with men this is vnpossible but with God all thinges are possible.
19:27Then answered Peter and sayde to him: Beholde we have forsaken all and folowed the what shall we have?
19:28Iesus sayde vnto them: verely I saye to you: when the sonne of man shall syt in ye seate of his maieste ye which folowe me in ye seconde generacion shall syt also vpon .xii. seates and iudge ye .xii. tribes of Israel.
19:29And whosoever forsaketh housses or brethren or systers other father or mother or wyfe or chyldren or landes for my names sake ye same shall receave an hundred folde and shall inheret everlastynge lyfe.
19:30Many that are fyrste shalbe laste and the laste shalbe fyrste.
