Matthew - Chapter: 18

>
18:1At the same time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"
18:2And Jesus called a little child to Himself, and set him in the midst of them,
18:3and said, "Truly, I say to you, unless you are converted, and become as little children, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven."
18:4Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child, they are the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."
18:5And whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me."
18:6But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea."
18:7Woe to the world because of offenses! Because, offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!"
18:8So if your hand or your foot offends you, cut them off and throw them away from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be thrown into everlasting fire."
18:9And if your eye offends you, pluck it out and throw it away from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be thrown into hell fire."
18:10Beware that you do not despise one of these little ones, because, I say to you that in heaven their angels always behold the face of My Father who is in heaven."
18:11Because the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost."
18:12"What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that has gone astray?"
18:13And if he happens to find it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety nine that did not go astray."
18:14Likewise it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish."
18:15"Also if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother."
18:16But if he will not hear you, then take with you one or two more, that 'by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.'"
18:17And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to listen to the church, let him be to you as a heathen and a tax collector."
18:18"Truly, I say to you, whatever you will bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you will loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
18:19"Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them of My Father who is in heaven."
18:20Because, where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."
18:21Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?"
18:22Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, until seven times, but until seventy times seven."
18:23Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants."
18:24And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents."
18:25But since he had no means to pay, his master commanded him to be sold, with his wife and children and all that he owned, and that payment be made."
18:26So the servant fell down and worshiped him, saying, 'Master, have patience with me, and I will repay everything to you.'"
18:27Then the Master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt."
18:28"But the same servant went out and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him a hundred denarii: and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, 'Pay me what you owe!'"
18:29So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will repay everything to you.'"
18:30And he would not, but went and put him into prison until he should pay the debt."
18:31So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that was done."
18:32Then his master, after he had summoned him, said to him, 'O you wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me."
18:33Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?'"
18:34And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him."
18:35"So likewise will my heavenly Father also do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother their trespasses."

18:1The same time the disciples came vnto Iesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdome of heauen?
18:2And Iesus called a litle childe vnto him, and set him in the mids of them,
18:3And sayd, Verely I say vnto you, except ye be conuerted, and become as litle children, ye shall not enter into the kingdome of heauen.
18:4Whosoeuer therefore shall humble himselfe as this litle childe, the same is the greatest in the kingdome of heauen.
18:5And whosoeuer shall receiue one such litle childe in my name, receiueth me.
18:6But whosoeuer shall offend one of these litle ones which beleeue in me, it were better for him, that a milstone were hanged about his necke, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
18:7Wo be vnto the world because of offences: for it must needes be that offences shall come, but wo be to that man by whome the offence commeth.
18:8Wherefore, if thy hand or thy foote cause thee to offend, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life, halt, or maimed, then hauing two hands, or two feete, to be cast into euerlasting fire.
18:9And if thine eye cause thee to offende, plucke it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, then hauing two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
18:10See that ye despise not one of these litle ones: for I say vnto you, that in heauen their Angels alwayes behold the face of my Father which is in heauen.
18:11For the Sonne of man is come to saue that which was lost.
18:12How thinke ye? If a man haue an hundreth sheepe, and one of them be gone astray, doeth he not leaue ninetie and nine, and go into the mountaines, and seeke that which is gone astray?
18:13And if so be that he finde it, verely I say vnto you, he reioyceth more of that sheepe, then of the ninetie and nine which went not astray:
18:14So is it not ye wil of your Father which is in heauen, that one of these litle ones should perish.
18:15Moreouer, if thy brother trespasse against thee, goe and tell him his fault betweene thee and him alone: if he heare thee, thou hast wonne thy brother.
18:16But if he heare thee not, take yet with thee one or two, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses euery worde may be confirmed.
18:17And if he refuse to heare them, tell it vnto the Church: and if he refuse to heare the Church also, let him be vnto thee as an heathen man, and a Publicane.
18:18Verely I say vnto you, Whatsoeuer ye bind on earth, shall be bound in heauen: and whatsoeuer ye loose on earth, shalbe loosed in heauen.
18:19Againe, verely I say vnto you, that if two of you shall agree in earth vpon any thing, whatsoeuer they shall desire, it shall be giuen them of my Father which is in heauen.
18:20For where two or three are gathered together in my Name, there am I in the mids of them.
18:21Then came Peter to him, and said, Master, howe oft shall my brother sinne against me, and I shall forgiue him? vnto seuen times?
18:22Iesus said vnto him, I say not to thee, Vnto seuen times, but, Vnto seuentie times seuen times.
18:23Therefore is the kingdome of heauen likened vnto a certaine King, which would take an account of his seruants.
18:24And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought vnto him, which ought him ten thousand talents.
18:25And because he had nothing to pay, his Lord commanded him to be solde, and his wife, and his children, and all that he had, and the dette to be payed.
18:26The seruant therefore fell downe, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, refraine thine anger toward me, and I will pay thee all.
18:27Then that seruants Lord had compassion, and loosed him, and forgaue him the dette.
18:28But when the seruant was departed, hee found one of his felow seruants, which ought him an hundred pence, and he layde hands on him, and thratled him, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
18:29Then his fellow seruant fell downe at his feete, and besought him, saying, Refraine thine anger towards me, and I will pay thee all.
18:30Yet he would not, but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the dette.
18:31And when his other felowe seruants sawe what was done, they were very sory, and came, and declared vnto their Lord all that was done.
18:32Then his Lord called him vnto him, and sayd to him, O euil seruant, I forgaue thee all that dette, because thou prayedst me.
18:33Oughtest not thou also to haue had pitie on thy fellowe seruant, euen as I had pitie on thee?
18:34So his Lord was wroth, and deliuered him to the tormentours, till he should pay all that was due to him.
18:35So likewise shall mine heauenly Father doe vnto you, except ye forgiue from your hearts, eche one to his brother their trespasses.

18:1The same tyme the disciples came vnto Iesus saying: who is ye greatest in the kyngdome of heve?
18:2Iesus called a chylde vnto him and set him in the middes of them:
18:3and sayd. Verely I say vnto you: except ye tourne and become as chyldren ye cannot enter into the kyngdom of heven.
18:4Whosoever therfore humble him sylfe as this chylde the same is the greatest in ye kyngdome of heve.
18:5And who soever receaveth suche a chylde in my name receaveth me.
18:6But whosoever offende one of these lytelons which beleve in me: it were better for him that a milstone were hanged aboute his necke and that he were drouned in the depth of the see.
18:7Wo be vnto the world because of offences. How be it it cannot be avoided but yt offences shalbe geven. Neverthelesse woo be to ye man by who the offence cometh.
18:8Wherfore yf thy honde or thy fote offende the cut him of and cast him from the. It ys better for the to enter into lyfe halt or maymed rather then thou shuldest havinge two hondes or two fete be cast into everlasting fyre.
18:9And yf also thyne eye offende the plucke him oute and caste him from the. It is better for the to enter into lyfe with one eye then havyng two eyes to be cast into hell fyre.
18:10Se that ye despise not one of these litelons. For I saye vnto you yt in heven their angels alwayes behold the face of my father which is in heven.
18:11Ye and the sonne of man is come to saue that which is lost.
18:12How thinke ye? Yf a man have an hondred shepe and one of them be gone astray dothe he not leve nynty and nyne in ye moutains and go and seke that one which is gone astray?
18:13If it happen that he fynd him veryly I say vnto you: he reioyseth more of that shepe then of the nynty and nyne which went not astray.
18:14Even so it is not the wyll of youre father in heven that one of these lytelons shulde perishe.
18:15Moreover yf thy brother treaspace agenst the. Go and tell him his faute betwene him and the alone. Yf he heare the thou hast wone thy brother:
18:16But yf he heare the not then take yet with the one or two that in the mouth of two or thre witnesses all thinges maye be stablisshed.
18:17If he heare not them tell it vnto the congregacion. If he heare not ye congregacion take him as an hethen man and as a publican.
18:18Verely I say vnto you what soever ye bynde on erth shalbe bounde in heven. And what soever ye lowse on erth shalbe lowsed in heven.
18:19Agayn I say vnto you that yf two of you shall agre in erth apon eny maner thynge what soever they shall desyre: it shalbe geven them of my father which is in heven.
18:20For where two or thre are gathered togedder in my name there am I in the myddes of them.
18:21Then came Peter to him and sayde: master howe ofte shall I forgeve my brother yf he synne agaynst me seven tymes?
18:22Iesus sayd vnto him: I saye not vnto the seven tymes: but seventy tymes seven tymes.
18:23Therfore is ye kingdome of heven lykened vnto a certayne kynge which wolde take a countis of his servauntis.
18:24And when he had begone to recken one was broughte vnto him whiche ought him ten thousande talentis:
18:25whome be cause he had nought to paye his master commaunded him to be solde and his wyfe and his chyldren and all that he had and payment to be made.
18:26The servaunt fell doune and besought him sayinge: Sir geve me respyte and I wyll paye it every whit.
18:27Then had the Lorde pytie on that servaunt and lowsed him and forgave him the det.
18:28And ye sayde servaut wet oute and founde one of his felowes which ought him an hundred pence and leyed hondes on him and toke him by the throote sayinge: paye me yt thou owest.
18:29And his felowe fell doune and besought him sayinge: have pacience with me and I wyll paye the all.
18:30And he wolde not but went and cast him into preson tyll he shulde paye the det.
18:31When his other felowes sawe what was done they were very sory and came and tolde vnto their lorde all yt had happened.
18:32Then his lorde called him and sayde vnto him. O evyll servaut I forgave the all that det because thou prayedst me: was it not mete also yt thou
18:33shuldest have had copassion on thy felow even as I had pitie on ye?
18:34And his lorde was wrooth and delyuered him to the iaylers tyll he shnld paye all that was due to him.
18:35So lyke wyse shall my hevenly father do vnto you except ye forgeve with youre hertes eache one to his brother their treaspases.
