25:1	`Then shall the reign of the heavens be likened to ten virgins, who, having taken their lamps, went forth to meet the bridegroom;
25:2	and five of them were prudent, and five foolish;
25:3	they who were foolish having taken their lamps, did not take with themselves oil;
25:4	and the prudent took oil in their vessels, with their lamps.
25:5	`And the bridegroom tarrying, they all nodded and were sleeping,
25:6	and in the middle of the night a cry was made, Lo, the bridegroom doth come; go ye forth to meet him.
25:7	`Then rose all those virgins, and trimmed their lamps,
25:8	and the foolish said to the prudent, Give us of your oil, because our lamps are going out;
25:9	and the prudent answered, saying -- Lest there may not be sufficient for us and you, go ye rather unto those selling, and buy for yourselves.
25:10	`And while they are going away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those ready went in with him to the marriage-feasts, and the door was shut;
25:11	and afterwards come also do the rest of the virgins, saying, Sir, sir, open to us;
25:12	and he answering said, Verily I say to you, I have not known you.
25:13	`Watch therefore, for ye have not known the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man doth come.
25:14	`For -- as a man going abroad did call his own servants, and did deliver to them his substance,
25:15	and to one he gave five talents, and to another two, and to another one, to each according to his several ability, went abroad immediately.
25:16	`And he who did receive the five talents, having gone, wrought with them, and made other five talents;
25:17	in like manner also he who `received' the two, he gained, also he, other two;
25:18	and he who did receive the one, having gone away, digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
25:19	`And after a long time cometh the lord of those servants, and taketh reckoning with them;
25:20	and he who did receive the five talents having come, brought other five talents, saying, `Sir, five talents thou didst deliver to me; lo, other five talents did I gain besides them.
25:21	`And his lord said to him, Well done, servant, good and faithful, over a few things thou wast faithful, over many things I will set thee; enter into the joy of thy lord.
25:22	`And he who also did receive the two talents having come, said, Sir, two talents thou didst deliver to me; lo, other two talents I did gain besides them.
25:23	`His lord said to him, Well done, servant, good and faithful, over a few things thou wast faithful, over many things I will set thee; enter into the joy of thy lord.
25:24	`And he also who hath received the one talent having come, said, Sir, I knew thee, that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou didst not sow, and gathering from whence thou didst not scatter;
25:25	and having been afraid, having gone away, I hid thy talent in the earth; lo, thou hast thine own!
25:26	`And his lord answering said to him, Evil servant, and slothful, thou hadst known that I reap where I did not sow, and I gather whence I did not scatter!
25:27	it behoved thee then to put my money to the money-lenders, and having come I had received mine own with increase.
25:28	`Take therefore from him the talent, and give to him having the ten talents,
25:29	for to every one having shall be given, and he shall have overabundance, and from him who is not having, even that which he hath shall be taken from him;
25:30	and the unprofitable servant cast ye forth to the outer darkness; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.
25:31	`And whenever the Son of Man may come in his glory, and all the holy messengers with him, then he shall sit upon a throne of his glory;
25:32	and gathered together before him shall be all the nations, and he shall separate them from one another, as the shepherd doth separate the sheep from the goats,
25:33	and he shall set the sheep indeed on his right hand, and the goats on the left.
25:34	`Then shall the king say to those on his right hand, Come ye, the blessed of my Father, inherit the reign that hath been prepared for you from the foundation of the world;
25:35	for I did hunger, and ye gave me to eat; I did thirst, and ye gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and ye received me;
25:36	naked, and ye put around me; I was infirm, and ye looked after me; in prison I was, and ye came unto me.
25:37	`Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when did we see thee hungering, and we nourished? or thirsting, and we gave to drink?
25:38	and when did we see thee a stranger, and we received? or naked, and we put around?
25:39	and when did we see thee infirm, or in prison, and we came unto thee?
25:40	`And the king answering, shall say to them, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as ye did `it' to one of these my brethren -- the least -- to me ye did `it'.
25:41	Then shall he say also to those on the left hand, Go ye from me, the cursed, to the fire, the age-during, that hath been prepared for the Devil and his messengers;
25:42	for I did hunger, and ye gave me not to eat; I did thirst, and ye gave me not to drink;
25:43	a stranger I was, and ye did not receive me; naked, and ye put not around me; infirm, and in prison, and ye did not look after me.
25:44	`Then shall they answer, they also, saying, Lord, when did we see thee hungering, or thirsting, or a stranger, or naked, or infirm, or in prison, and we did not minister to thee?
25:45	`Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as ye did `it' not to one of these, the least, ye did `it' not to me.
25:46	And these shall go away to punishment age-during, but the righteous to life age-during.'

25:8	And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
25:9	But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
25:10	And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
25:11	Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
25:12	But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
25:13	Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
25:14	For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
25:15	And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
25:16	Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
25:17	And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
25:18	But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
25:19	After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
25:20	And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
25:21	His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
25:22	He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
25:23	His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
25:24	Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25:25	And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
25:26	His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
25:27	Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
25:28	Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
25:29	For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
25:30	And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
25:31	When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
25:32	And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
25:33	And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
25:34	Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
25:35	For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
25:36	Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
25:37	Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
25:38	When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
25:39	Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
25:40	And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
25:41	Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
25:42	For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
25:43	I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
25:44	Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
25:45	Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
25:46	And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

25:10	But they going away to buy, the bridegroom came. And those ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut.
25:11	And afterwards, the rest of the virgins also came, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
25:12	But answering, he said, Truly I say to you, I do not know you.
25:13	Therefore, watch, for you do not know the day nor the hour in which the Son of man comes.
25:14	For it is as if a man going abroad called his own slaves and delivered his goods to them.
25:15	And to one indeed he gave five talents, and to another, two, and to another, one, to each according to his ability. And he went abroad at once.
25:16	And going, the one who received the five talents worked with them and made another five talents.
25:17	In the same way, the one with the two also did ; he also gained another two.
25:18	But going away, the one who received the one dug in the earth and hid his lord's silver.
25:19	And after much time, the lord of those slaves came and took account with them.
25:20	And coming up, the one who received five talents brought another five talents near, saying, Lord, you delivered five talents to me. Behold, I gained another five talents above them.
25:21	And his lord said to him, Well done , good and faithful slave. You were faithful over a few things; I will set you over many. Enter into the joy of your lord.
25:22	And the one who received two talents also coming up, he said, Lord, you delivered two talents to me. Behold, I have gained two other talents above them.
25:23	His lord said to him, Well done , good and faithful slave. You were faithful over a few things, I will set you over many. Enter into the joy of your lord.
25:24	And the one who received the one talent also coming up, he said, Lord, I knew you, that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter;
25:25	and being afraid, going away, I hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have yours.
25:26	And answering, his lord said to him, Evil and slothful slave! You knew that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not I scatter.
25:27	Then you ought to have put my silver to the bankers, and coming I would have received my own with interest.
25:28	Therefore, take the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents.
25:29	For to each who has, more will be given, and he will abound. But from him who does not have, even that which he has will be taken from him.
25:30	And throw the worthless slave out into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.
25:31	But when the Son of man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
25:32	And before Him shall be gathered all the nations; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
25:33	And indeed He will set the sheep off His right, but the goats off the left hand .
25:34	Then the King will say to those on His right, Come, the blessed of My Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
25:35	For I hungered, and you gave Me food to eat; I thirsted, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you took Me in;
25:36	naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.
25:37	Then the righteous will answer, saying, Lord, when did we see You hungry, and fed You ; or thirsting, and gave You drink?
25:38	And when did we see You a stranger, and took You in; or naked, and clothed You ?
25:39	And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and came to You?
25:40	And answering, the King will say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of these, the least of My brothers, you did it to Me.
25:41	Then He will also say to those on His left, Go away from Me, cursed ones, into the everlasting fire having been prepared for the Devil and his angels.
25:42	For I hungered, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I thirsted, and you gave me nothing to drink;
25:43	I was a stranger, and you did not take Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.
25:44	Then they also will answer Him, saying, Lord, when did we see You hungering, or thirsting, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to You?
25:45	Then He will answer them, saying, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did not do it to one of these, the least, neither did you do it to Me.
25:46	And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.
