Matthew - Chapter: 24

>
24:1And having gone forth, Jesus departed from the temple, and his disciples came near to show him the buildings of the temple,
24:2and Jesus said to them, `Do ye not see all these? verily I say to you, There may not be left here a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down.'
24:3And when he is sitting on the mount of the Olives, the disciples came near to him by himself, saying, `Tell us, when shall these be? and what `is' the sign of thy presence, and of the full end of the age?'
24:4And Jesus answering said to them, `Take heed that no one may lead you astray,
24:5for many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and they shall lead many astray,
24:6and ye shall begin to hear of wars, and reports of wars; see, be not troubled, for it behoveth all `these' to come to pass, but the end is not yet.
24:7`For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places;
24:8and all these `are' the beginning of sorrows;
24:9then they shall deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated by all the nations because of my name;
24:10and then shall many be stumbled, and they shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.
24:11`And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray;
24:12and because of the abounding of the lawlessness, the love of the many shall become cold;
24:13but he who did endure to the end, he shall be saved;
24:14and this good news of the reign shall be proclaimed in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations; and then shall the end arrive.
24:15`Whenever, therefore, ye may see the abomination of the desolation, that was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever is reading let him observe)
24:16then those in Judea -- let them flee to the mounts;
24:17he on the house-top -- let him not come down to take up any thing out of his house;
24:18and he in the field -- let him not turn back to take his garments.
24:19`And wo to those with child, and to those giving suck in those days;
24:20and pray ye that your flight may not be in winter, nor on a sabbath;
24:21for there shall be then great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the world till now, no, nor may be.
24:22And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but because of the chosen, shall those days be shortened.
24:23`Then if any one may say to you, Lo, here `is' the Christ! or here! ye may not believe;
24:24for there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they shall give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, also the chosen.
24:25Lo, I did tell you beforehand.
24:26`If therefore they may say to you, Lo, in the wilderness he is, ye may not go forth; lo, in the inner chambers, ye may not believe;
24:27for as the lightning doth come forth from the east, and doth appear unto the west, so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;
24:28for wherever the carcase may be, there shall the eagles be gathered together.
24:29`And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken;
24:30and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in the heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth smite the breast, and they shall see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of the heaven, with power and much glory;
24:31and he shall send his messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens unto the ends thereof.
24:32`And from the fig-tree learn ye the simile: When already its branch may have become tender, and the leaves it may put forth, ye know that summer `is' nigh,
24:33so also ye, when ye may see all these, ye know that it is nigh -- at the doors.
24:34Verily I say to you, this generation may not pass away till all these may come to pass.
24:35The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
24:36`And concerning that day and the hour no one hath known -- not even the messengers of the heavens -- except my Father only;
24:37and as the days of Noah -- so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;
24:38for as they were, in the days before the flood, eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, till the day Noah entered into the ark,
24:39and they did not know till the flood came and took all away; so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man.
24:40Then two men shall be in the field, the one is received, and the one is left;
24:41two women shall be grinding in the mill, one is received, and one is left.
24:42`Watch ye therefore, because ye have not known in what hour your Lord doth come;
24:43and this know, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief doth come, he had watched, and not suffered his house to be broken through;
24:44because of this also ye, become ye ready, because in what hour ye do not think, the Son of Man doth come.
24:45`Who, then, is the servant, faithful and wise, whom his lord did set over his household, to give them the nourishment in season?
24:46Happy that servant, whom his lord, having come, shall find doing so;
24:47verily I say to you, that over all his substance he will set him.
24:48`And, if that evil servant may say in his heart, My Lord doth delay to come,
24:49and may begin to beat the fellow-servants, and to eat and to drink with the drunken,
24:50the lord of that servant will arrive in a day when he doth not expect, and in an hour of which he doth not know,
24:51and will cut him off, and his portion with the hypocrites will appoint; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.

24:1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
24:2And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
24:3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
24:4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
24:5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
24:6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
24:7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
24:8All these are the beginning of sorrows.
24:9Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
24:10And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
24:11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
24:12And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
24:13But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
24:14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
24:15When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
24:16Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
24:17Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
24:18Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
24:19And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
24:20But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
24:21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
24:22And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
24:23Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24:24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
24:25Behold, I have told you before.
24:26Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
24:27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
24:28For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
24:29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
24:30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
24:31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
24:32Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
24:33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
24:34Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
24:35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
24:36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
24:37But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
24:38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
24:39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
24:40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
24:41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
24:42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
24:43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
24:44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
24:45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
24:46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
24:47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
24:48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
24:49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
24:50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
24:51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

24:1And going out, Jesus left the temple. And His disciples came to show Him the buildings of the temple.
24:2But Jesus said to them, Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, There will not at all be left one stone on a stone which in no way will not be thrown down.
24:3And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be? And, What is the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?
24:4And answering, Jesus said to them, See that not any leads you astray.
24:5For many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ. And they will cause many to be led astray.
24:6But you are going to hear of wars and rumors of wars. See, do not be terrified. For all things must take place, but the end is not yet.
24:7For nation will be raised against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines and plagues and earthquakes against many places.
24:8But all these are a beginning of throes.
24:9Then they will deliver you up to affliction, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.
24:10And then many will be offended, and they will deliver up one another and will hate one another.
24:11And many false prophets will be raised and will cause many to err.
24:12And because lawlessness shall have been multiplied, the love of the many will grow cold.
24:13But the one who endures to the end, that one will be kept safe.
24:14And this gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the earth for a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.
24:15Then when you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (the one reading, let him understand), Dan. 11:31; 12:11
24:16then let those in Judea flee on the mountains;
24:17the one on the housetop, let him not come down to take anything out of his house;
24:18and the one in the field, let him not turn back to take his garment.
24:19But woe to the woman having a child in womb, and to those suckling in those days!
24:20And pray that your flight will not be in winter nor on a sabbath.
24:21For there will be great affliction, such as has not happened from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be.
24:22And except those days were shortened, not any flesh would be saved. But on account of the elect, those days will be shortened.
24:23Then if anyone says to you, Behold, here is the Christ! Or, Here! Do not believe.
24:24For false christs and false prophets will rise up. And they will give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
24:25Behold, I tell you beforehand.
24:26Then if they say to you, Behold, He is in the wilderness; do not go out. Behold, He is in the inner rooms; do not believe.
24:27For as the lightning comes forth from the east and shines as far as the west, so also will be the coming of the Son of man.
24:28For wherever the dead body may be, there the eagles will be gathered.
24:29And immediately after the affliction of those days the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give her light, and the stars will fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
24:30And then the sign of the Son of man will appear in the heavens. And then all the tribes of the land will wail. And they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and much glory. Dan. 7:13
24:31And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens to their ends.
24:32But learn the parable of the fig tree: When its branch becomes tender and it puts out leaves, you know that the summer is near;
24:33so also you, when you see all these things, know that it is near at the doors.
24:34Truly I say to you, In no way will this generation pass away until all these things have occurred.
24:35The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words will never ever pass away.
24:36But as to that day and that hour, no one knows, neither the angels of Heaven, except My Father only.
24:37But as the days of Noah, so also will be the coming of the Son of man.
24:38For as they were in the days before the flood: eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah went into the ark.
24:39And they did not know until the flood came and took all away. So also will be the coming of the Son of man.
24:40At that time two will be out in the field; the one is taken away, and the one is left;
24:41two grinding at the mill; one is taken away, and one is left.
24:42Watch, then, for you do not know in what hour your Lord comes.
24:43But know this, that if the housemaster had known in what watch the thief comes, he would have watched and not have allowed his house to be dug through.
24:44Because of this, you also be ready, for in that hour you think not, the Son of man comes.
24:45Who then is the faithful and wise servant whom his lord has set over his household, to give to them the food in season?
24:46Blessed is that servant whom his lord shall find so doing when he comes.
24:47Truly I say to you, He will set him over all his substance.
24:48But if that wicked servant says in his heart, My lord delays to come,
24:49and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and to drink with the ones drinking,
24:50the lord of that slave will come in a day in which he does not expect and in an hour which he does not know,
24:51and will cut him in two, and will appoint his portion with the hypocrites. There will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.
