19:1	And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
19:2	This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:
19:3	And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face:
19:4	And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times:
19:5	And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:
19:6	And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.
19:7	Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even.
19:8	And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even.
19:9	And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin.
19:10	And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.
19:11	He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days.
19:12	He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.
19:13	Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.
19:14	This is the law, when a man dieth in a tent: all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.
19:15	And every open vessel, which hath no covering bound upon it, is unclean.
19:16	And whosoever toucheth one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.
19:17	And for an unclean person they shall take of the ashes of the burnt heifer of purification for sin, and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel:
19:18	And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave:
19:19	And the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify himself, and wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.
19:20	But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the LORD: the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.
19:21	And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until even.
19:22	And whatsoever the unclean person toucheth shall be unclean; and the soul that toucheth it shall be unclean until even.


19:1	וידבר יהוה אל משׁה ואל אהרן לאמר׃
19:2	זאת חקת התורה אשׁר צוה יהוה לאמר דבר אל בני ישׂראל ויקחו אליך פרה אדמה תמימה אשׁר אין בה מום אשׁר לא עלה עליה על׃
19:3	ונתתם אתה אל אלעזר הכהן והוציא אתה אל מחוץ למחנה ושׁחט אתה לפניו׃
19:4	ולקח אלעזר הכהן מדמה באצבעו והזה אל נכח פני אהל מועד מדמה שׁבע פעמים׃
19:5	ושׂרף את הפרה לעיניו את ערה ואת בשׂרה ואת דמה על פרשׁה ישׂרף׃
19:6	ולקח הכהן עץ ארז ואזוב ושׁני תולעת והשׁליך אל תוך שׂרפת הפרה׃
19:7	וכבס בגדיו הכהן ורחץ בשׂרו במים ואחר יבא אל המחנה וטמא הכהן עד הערב׃
19:8	והשׂרף אתה יכבס בגדיו במים ורחץ בשׂרו במים וטמא עד הערב׃
19:9	ואסף אישׁ טהור את אפר הפרה והניח מחוץ למחנה במקום טהור והיתה לעדת בני ישׂראל למשׁמרת למי נדה חטאת הוא׃
19:10	וכבס האסף את אפר הפרה את בגדיו וטמא עד הערב והיתה לבני ישׂראל ולגר הגר בתוכם לחקת עולם׃
19:11	הנגע במת לכל נפשׁ אדם וטמא שׁבעת ימים׃
19:12	הוא יתחטא בו ביום השׁלישׁי וביום השׁביעי יטהר ואם לא יתחטא ביום השׁלישׁי וביום השׁביעי לא יטהר׃
19:13	כל הנגע במת בנפשׁ האדם אשׁר ימות ולא יתחטא את משׁכן יהוה טמא ונכרתה הנפשׁ ההוא מישׂראל כי מי נדה לא זרק עליו טמא יהיה עוד טמאתו׃
19:14	זאת התורה אדם כי ימות באהל כל הבא אל האהל וכל אשׁר באהל יטמא שׁבעת ימים׃
19:15	וכל כלי פתוח אשׁר אין צמיד פתיל עליו טמא הוא׃
19:16	וכל אשׁר יגע על פני השׂדה בחלל חרב או במת או בעצם אדם או בקבר יטמא שׁבעת ימים׃
19:17	ולקחו לטמא מעפר שׂרפת החטאת ונתן עליו מים חיים אל כלי׃
19:18	ולקח אזוב וטבל במים אישׁ טהור והזה על האהל ועל כל הכלים ועל הנפשׁות אשׁר היו שׁם ועל הנגע בעצם או בחלל או במת או בקבר׃
19:19	והזה הטהר על הטמא ביום השׁלישׁי וביום השׁביעי וחטאו ביום השׁביעי וכבס בגדיו ורחץ במים וטהר בערב׃
19:20	ואישׁ אשׁר יטמא ולא יתחטא ונכרתה הנפשׁ ההוא מתוך הקהל כי את מקדשׁ יהוה טמא מי נדה לא זרק עליו טמא הוא׃
19:21	והיתה להם לחקת עולם ומזה מי הנדה יכבס בגדיו והנגע במי הנדה יטמא עד הערב׃
19:22	וכל אשׁר יגע בו הטמא יטמא והנפשׁ הנגעת תטמא עד הערב׃


19:1	And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, and unto Aaron, saying,
19:2	`This `is' a statute of the law which Jehovah hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the sons of Israel, and they bring unto thee a red cow, a perfect one, in which there is no blemish, on which no yoke hath gone up;
19:3	and ye have given it unto Eleazar the priest, and he hath brought it out unto the outside of the camp, and hath slaughtered it before him.
19:4	`And Eleazar the priest hath taken of its blood with his finger, and hath sprinkled over-against the front of the tent of meeting of her blood seven times;
19:5	and `one' hath burnt the cow before his eyes; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, besides her dung, he doth burn;
19:6	and the priest hath taken cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and hath cast unto the midst of the burning of the cow;
19:7	and the priest hath washed his garments, and hath bathed his flesh with water, and afterwards doth come in unto the camp, and the priest is unclean till the evening;
19:8	and he who is burning it doth wash his garments with water, and hath bathed his flesh with water, and is unclean till the evening.
19:9	`And a clean man hath gathered the ashes of the cow, and hath placed at the outside of the camp, in a clean place, and it hath become to the company of the sons of Israel a charge for waters of separation -- it `is' a `cleansing';
19:10	and he who is gathering the ashes of the heifer hath washed his garments, and is unclean till the evening; and it hath been to the sons of Israel, and to the sojourner who is sojourning in their midst, for a statute age-during.
19:11	`He who is coming against the dead body of any man -- is unclean seven days;
19:12	he doth cleanse himself for it on the third day, and on the seventh day he is clean; and if he cleanse not himself on the third day, then on the seventh day he is not clean.
19:13	Any one who is coming against the dead, against the body of man who dieth, and cleanseth not himself -- the tabernacle of Jehovah he hath defiled, and that person hath been cut off from Israel, for water of separation is not sprinkled upon him; he is unclean; his uncleanness `is' still upon him.
19:14	`This `is' the law, when a man dieth in a tent: every one who is coming in unto the tent, and all that `is' in the tent, is unclean seven days;
19:15	and every open vessel which hath no covering of thread upon it is unclean.
19:16	`And every one who cometh, on the face of the field, against the pierced of a sword, or against the dead, or against a bone of man, or against a grave, is unclean seven days;
19:17	and they have taken for the unclean person of the ashes of the burning of the `cleansing', and he hath put upon it running water unto a vessel;
19:18	and a clean person hath taken hyssop, and hath dipped `it' in water, and hath sprinkled on the tent, and on all the vessels, and on the persons who have been there, and on him who is coming against a bone, or against one pierced, or against the dead, or against a grave.
19:19	`And the clean hath sprinkled `it' on the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day, and hath cleansed him on the seventh day, and he hath washed his garments, and hath bathed with water, and hath been clean in the evening.
19:20	`And the man who is unclean, and doth not cleanse himself, even that person hath been cut off from the midst of the assembly; for the sanctuary of Jehovah he hath defiled; water of separation is not sprinkled upon him; he `is' unclean.
19:21	`And it hath been to them for a statute age-during, that he who is sprinkling the water of separation doth wash his garments, and he who is coming against the water of separation is unclean till the evening,
19:22	and all against which the unclean person cometh is unclean, and the person who is coming against `it' is unclean till the evening.'
