2:1	& eft æfter dagen he eode in-to capharnaum & hyt wæs ge-hyred. þt he wæs on huse
2:2	& manege to-gadere comen & he to hem spræc.
2:3	& hyo comen ænne lame man to him berende. þane feower men bæren.
2:4	& þa hyo ne mihten hine in-bringen for þare manige hyo openedon þane rof þær se hælend wæs & hyo þa in-asende þt bed þe se lame on laig.
2:5	Soðlice þa se hælend ge-seah heore ge-leafen he cwæð. to þam lamen. Sune þe synde þine senne for-gefene.
2:6	þær wæren sume of þam bokeren sittende & on heore heortan þencende
2:7	hwi specð þes þus. he desigeð. hwa maig senne for-gefen buton god ane.
2:8	Ða se hælend þæt on his gaste on-cneow. þt hyo swa be-tweoxe heom þohten. he cwæð to heom hwi þence ge þas þing on eowre heorten.
2:9	hwæðer is eðre to seggene to þam lamen. ðe synde þine synne for-gefene. hwæðer to cwæðen aris nem þin bed & ga.
2:10	þæt ge soðlice witen þt mannes sune hæfð anweald on eorþan synnen to for-gefene. He cwæð to þam lamen.
2:11	Þe ic segge aris. nym þin bed & ga; to þinen huse.
2:12	& he sone aras. & be-foren heom eallen eode. swa þt ealle wundreden & þus cwæðen næfre we ær þellic þing ne ge-sægen.

2:15	& hit ge-warð þa he sæt on his huse þt manege manfulle sæten mid þam hælende & his leorning-cnihten. Soðlice manege þa þe him felgden waren
2:16	bokeres & pharisei. & cwæðen witodlice he ett mid manfullen & synfullen. & hy cwæðen to his leorning-cnihten. hwi æt eower lareow & drincd mid mannfullen & senfullen.
2:17	Þa se hælend þis ge-hyrde he sæde heom. Ne be-þurfen na þa halen læces. ac þa þe untrume synden. Ne com ic na þæt ich cleopede riht-wise ac synfulle.
2:18	Note: Accesserunt ad ihesum discipuli iohannis dicentes. Quare nos & pharisei ieiunamus frequenter. & þa wæren iohannes leorningcnihtes & farisej fæstende. & þa comen hyo & segden him. Hwi fæsted Iohannes leorning-cnihtes & phariseorum & þine ne fæsteð.
2:19	Ða cwæð se hælend cweðe ge. sculen þas bredgumen cnihtes fæsten swa lange swa se bredgume mid heom is; ne magen hyo fæsten swa lange tide swa hyo þane bredgumen mid heom hæbbeð.

2:23	Note: Ibat ihesus sabbato per sata. discipuli eius esurientes ceperunt euellere spicas. Eft wæs ge-worðen þa he reste-dagen þurh æceres eode. his leorning-cnihtes on-gunnen þa ear pluccin.
2:24	þa cwæðen þa pharisej to him. Loce nu hwæt þine leorning-cnihtes doð. þt heom alefeð næs on reste-dagen.
2:25	Ða saide he heom. ne rædde ge næfre hwæt dyde dauid. þa hym hingrede. & þa þe mid hym wæren.
2:26	hu he inne godes huse eode under abiathar þare sacerde ealdre. & he ætt of þa offrunge-hlafes. þe hym ne alyfde neren to ætenne. buten sacerden ane. & he sealde þam þe mid hym wæren.
2:27	& he saigde heom. reste-daig wæs ge-worht for þam men. nes se man for þam reste-daige.
2:28	Witodlice drihten is mannes sune eac swilce reste-dages.


2:1	After a fewe dayes, hee entred into Capernaum againe, and it was noysed that he was in the house.
2:2	And anon, many gathered together, in so much that the places about the doore coulde not receiue any more and he preached the word vnto them.
2:3	And there came vnto him, that brought one sicke of the palsie, borne of foure men.
2:4	And because they could not come neere vnto him for the multitude, they vncouered ye roofe of the house where hee was: and when they had broken it open, they let downe the bed, wherein the sicke of the palsie lay.
2:5	Nowe when Iesus sawe their faith, he saide to the sicke of the palsie, Sonne, thy sinnes are forgiuen thee.
2:6	And there were certaine of the Scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
2:7	Why doeth this man speake such blasphemies? who can forgiue sinnes, but God onely?
2:8	And immediatly when Iesus perceiued in his spirite, that thus they reasoned with themselues, he sayde vnto them, Why reason yee these things in your hearts?
2:9	Whether is it easier to say to the sicke of the palsie, Thy sinnes are forgiuen thee? or to say, Arise, and take vp thy bed, and walke?
2:10	But that ye may knowe, that the Sonne of man hath authoritie in earth to forgiue sinnes, (he sayde vnto the sicke of the palsie.)
2:11	I say vnto thee, Arise and take vp thy bed, and get thee hence into thine owne house.
2:12	And by and by he arose, and tooke vp his bed, and went foorth before them all, in so much that they were all amased, and glorified God, saying, We neuer sawe such a thing.
2:13	Then he went foorth againe towarde the sea, and all the people resorted vnto him, and he taught them.
2:14	And as Iesus passed by, hee sawe Leui the sonne of Alpheus sit at the receit of custome, and said vnto him, Folowe me. And he arose and followed him.
2:15	And it came to passe, as Iesus sate at table in his house, many Publicanes and sinners sate at table also with Iesus, and his disciples: for there were many that followed him.
2:16	And when the Scribes and Pharises sawe him eate with the Publicanes and sinners, they sayd vnto his disciples, Howe is it, that hee eateth and drinketh with Publicanes and sinners?
2:17	Now when Iesus heard it, hee sayde vnto them, The whole haue no neede of the Physicion, but the sicke. I came not to call the righteous, but the sinners to repentance.
2:18	And the disciples of Iohn, and the Pharises did fast, and came and saide vnto him, Why doe the disciples of Iohn, and of the Pharises fast, and thy disciples fast not?
2:19	And Iesus saide vnto them, Can the children of the marriage chamber fast, whiles the bridegrome is with them? as long as they haue the bridegrome with them, they cannot fast.
2:20	But the daies will come, when the bridegrome shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast in those daies.
2:21	Also no man soweth a piece of newe cloth in an olde garment: for els the newe piece that filled it vp, taketh away somewhat from the olde, and the breach is worse.
2:22	Likewise, no man putteth newe wine into old vessels: for els the new wine breaketh the vessels, and the wine runneth out, and the vessels are lost: but newe wine must be put into new vessels.
2:23	And it came to passe as hee went through the corne on the Sabbath day, that his disciples, as they went on their way, began to plucke the eares of corne.
2:24	And the Pharises saide vnto him, Beholde, why doe they on the Sabbath day, that which is not lawfull?
2:25	And he saide to them, Haue yee neuer read what Dauid did when he had neede, and was an hungred, both he, and they that were with him?
2:26	Howe he went into the house of God, in the daies of Abiathar the hie Priest, and did eat the shewe bread, which were not lawfull to eate, but for the Priests, and gaue also to them which were with him?
2:27	And hee sayde to them, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.
2:28	Wherefore the Sonne of man is Lord, euen of the Sabbath.


2:1	After a feawe dayes he entred into Capernaum agayne and it was noysed that he was in a housse.
2:2	And anone many gadered to geder in so moche that now there was no roume to receave them: no not so moche as about the dore. And he preached the worde vnto them.
2:3	And there came vnto him that brought one sicke of the palsie borne of fower men.
2:4	And because they coulde not come nye vnto him for preace they vncovered ye rofe of the housse where he was. And when they had broken it ope they let doune ye beed where in ye sicke of the palsie laye.
2:5	When Iesus sawe their fayth he sayde to the sicke of the palsie sonne thy sinnes are forgeven the.
2:6	And ther were certayne of ye scribes sittinge there and reasoninge in their hertes:
2:7	how doeth this felowe so blaspheme? Who can forgeve synnes but God only?
2:8	And immediatly whe Iesus perceaved in his sprete yt they so reasoned in the selves he sayde vnto them: why thynke ye soche thinges in youre hertes?
2:9	Whether is it easyer to saye to ye sicke of ye palsie thy synnes are forgeven the or to saye aryse take vp thy beed and walke?
2:10	That ye maye knowe yt the sonne of man hath power in erth to forgeve synnes he spake vnto ye sicke of the palsie:
2:11	I saye vnto ye aryse and take vp thy beed and get ye hense into thyne awne housse.
2:12	And by and by he arose toke vp the beed and went forth before them all: in so moche that they were all amased and glorified God sayinge: we never sawe it on this fassion.
2:13	And he went agayne vnto the see and all the people resorted vnto him and he taught the.
2:14	And as Iesus passed by he sawe Levy ye sonne of Alphey syt at the receyte of custome and sayde vnto him: folowe me. And he arose and folowed him.
2:15	And it came to passe as Iesus sate at meate in his housse many publicans and synners sate at meate also with Iesus and his disciples. For there were many that folowed him.
2:16	And when the Scribes and Pharises sawe him eate with publicas and synnere they sayde vnto his disciples: how is it that he eateth and drynketh with publicas and synners?
2:17	When Iesus hearde yt he sayde vnto them. The whole have no nede of the phisicio but the sicke. I came not to call the rightwise but the synners to repentaunce.
2:18	And the disciples of Iohn and the Pharises dyd faste: and therfore came and sayde vnto him. Why do ye disciples of Iohn and of the Pharises faste and thy disciples fast not.
2:19	And Iesus sayde vnto them: can the chyldren of a weddinge faste while the brydgrome is wt them. As longe as they have the brydgrome with them they cannot faste.
2:20	But the dayes will come when the brydgrome shalbe taken from them and then shall they faste in those dayes.
2:21	Also no ma soweth a pece of newe cloth vnto an olde garmet for then taketh he awaye ye newe pece fro the olde and so is the rent worsse.
2:22	In lyke wyse no man poureth newe wyne into olde vessels: for yf he do the newe wyne breaketh the vessels and the wyne runneth out and the vessels are marred. But new wyne must be poured into new vessels.
2:23	And it chaunsed that he wet thorow ye corne feldes on the Saboth daye: and his disciples as they went on their waye beganne to plucke the eares of corne.
2:24	And the Pharises sayde vnto him: beholde why do they on the Saboth dayes yt which is not laufull?
2:25	And he sayde to them: have ye never rede what David dyd when he had nede and was anhogred bothe he and they that were with him?
2:26	How he went into the housse of God in the dayes of Abiathar ye hye preste and dyd eate ye halowed loves which is not laufull to eate but for ye prestes only: and gave also to the which were with him?
2:27	And he sayde to them: the Saboth daye was made for man and not man for the Saboth daye.
2:28	Wherfore the sonne of man is Lorde eve of the Saboth daye.
