| 6:2 | And when the Sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the Synagogue: and many hearing him, were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? And what wisedome is this which is giuen vnto him, that euen such mightie workes are wrought by his hands? |
| 6:3 | Is not this the carpenter, the sonne of Mary, the brother of Iames and Ioses, and of Iuda, and Simon? And are not his sisters heere with vs? And they were offended at him. |
| 6:4 | But Iesus sayde vnto them, A Prophet is not without honour, but in his owne countrey, and among his owne kinne, and in his owne house. |
| 6:5 | And he could there doe no mightie worke, saue that he laid his hands vpon a few sicke folke, and healed them. |
| 6:6 | And he marueiled because of their vnbeliefe. And he went round about the villages, teaching. |
| 6:7 | And he calleth vnto him the twelue, and began to send them foorth, by two and two, and gaue them power ouer vncleane spirits, |
| 6:8 | And commanded them that they should take nothing for their iourney, saue a staffe onely: no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse: |
| 6:9 | But be shod with sandales: and not put on two coats. |
| 6:10 | And he said vnto them, In what place soeuer yee enter into an house, there abide til ye depart from that place. |
| 6:11 | And whosoeuer shall not receiue you, nor heare you, when yee depart thence, shake off the dust vnder your feet, for a testimonie against them: Uerely I say vnto you, it shalbe more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of iudgement, then for that citie. |
| 6:12 | And they went out, and preached that men should repent. |
| 6:13 | And they cast out many deuils, and anointed with oyle many, that were sicke, and healed them. |
| 6:14 | And king Herod heard of him (for his name was spread abroad:) and hee said that Iohn the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mightie workes doe shew foorth themselues in him. |
| 6:15 | Others said, That it is Elias. And others said, That it is a Prophet, or as one of the Prophets. |
| 6:16 | But when Herod heard thereof, he said, It is Iohn, whome I beheaded, he is risen from the dead. |
| 6:17 | For Herod himselfe had sent forth and laid hold vpon Iohn, and bound him in prison for Herodias sake, his brother Philips wife, for hee had maried her. |
| 6:18 | For Iohn had said vnto Herod, It is not lawfull for thee to haue thy brothers wife. |
| 6:19 | Therfore Herodias had a quarrel against him, & would haue killed him, but she could not. |
| 6:20 | For Herod feared Iohn, knowing that he was a iust man, and an holy, and obserued him: and when he heard him, hee did many things, and heard him gladly. |
| 6:21 | And when a conuenient day was come, that Herod on his birth day made a supper to his lords, high captaines, and chiefe estates of Galilee: |
| 6:22 | And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod, and them that sate with him, the king said vnto the damosell, Aske of me whatsoeuer thou wilt, and I will giue it thee. |
| 6:23 | And he sware vnto her, Whatsoeuer thou shalt aske of me, I will giue it thee, vnto the halfe of my kingdome. |
| 6:24 | And she went forth, and said vnto her mother, What shall I aske? And she said, The head of Iohn ye Baptist. |
| 6:25 | And she came in straightway with haste, vnto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou giue me by and by in a charger, the head of Iohn the Baptist. |
| 6:26 | And the king was exceeding sory, yet for his othes sake, and for their sakes which sate with him, hee would not reiect her. |
| 6:27 | And immediatly the king sent an executioner, and commaunded his head to be brought, and he went, and beheaded him in the prison, |
| 6:28 | And brought his head in a charger, and gaue it to the damosell, and the damosell gaue it to her mother. |
| 6:29 | And when his disciples heard of it, they came and tooke vp his corpse, and laid it in a tombe. |
| 6:30 | And the Apostles gathered themselues together vnto Iesus, and tolde him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught. |
| 6:31 | And he said vnto them, Come yee your selues apart into a desert place, and rest a while. For there were many comming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eate. |
| 6:32 | And they departed into a desert place by ship priuately. |
| 6:33 | And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ranne afoote thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together vnto him. |
| 6:34 | And Iesus when he came out, saw much people, and was moued with compassion toward them, because they were as sheepe not hauing a shepherd: and hee beganne to teach them many things. |
| 6:35 | And when the day was now far spent, his Disciples came vnto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is farre passed. |
| 6:36 | Send them away, that they may goe into the countrey round about, and into the villages, and buy themselues bread: for they haue nothing to eate. |
| 6:37 | He answered and said vnto them, Giue yee them to eate. And they say vnto him, Shall we goe and buy two hundred penniworth of bread, and giue them to eate? |
| 6:38 | He saith vnto them, How many loaues haue yee? goe, and see. And when they knew, they say, Fiue, and two fishes. |
| 6:39 | And he commanded them to make all sit downe by companies vpon the greene grasse. |
| 6:40 | And they sate downe in rankes by hundreds, and by fifties. |
| 6:41 | And when he had taken the fiue loaues, and the two fishes, he looked vp to heauen, and blessed, and brake the loaues, and gaue them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes diuided he among them all. |
| 6:42 | And they did all eate, and were filled. |
| 6:43 | And they tooke vp twelue baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes. |
| 6:44 | And they that did eate of the loaues, were about fiue thousand men. |
| 6:45 | And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to goe to the other side before vnto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people. |
| 6:46 | And when hee had sent them away, he departed into a mountaine to pray. |
| 6:47 | And when Euen was come, the ship was in the midst of the Sea, and he alone on the land. |
| 6:48 | And he saw them toiling in rowing (for the wind was contrary vnto them:) and about the fourth watch of the night, he commeth vnto them, walking vpon the Sea, and would haue passed by them. |
| 6:49 | But when they saw him walking vpon the Sea, they supposed it had bene a spirit, and cried out. |
| 6:50 | (For they all saw him, and were troubled) and immediately hee talked with them, and saith vnto them, Be of good cheere, It is I, be not afraid. |
| 6:51 | And hee went vp vnto them into the ship, and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselues beyond measure, and wondered. |
| 6:52 | For they considered not the miracle of the loaues, for their heart was hardened. |
| 6:53 | And when they had passed ouer, they came into the land of Genesareth, and drew to the shore. |
| 6:54 | And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him, |
| 6:55 | And ran through that whole region round about, and beganne to carrie about in beds, those that were sicke, where they heard he was. |
| 6:56 | And whithersouer he entred, into villages, or cities, or countrie, they laide the sicke in the streetes, & besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him, were made whole. |

| 6:14 | And it came to kynge Herods eares (for his name was now knowne) and he sayde: Ihon the baptist is rysen agayne from the deed, and therfore are his dedes so mightie. |
| 6:15 | But some sayde: It is Elias. Some sayde: It is a prophet, or one of ye prophetes. |
| 6:16 | But when Herode herde it, he sayde: It is Ihon whom I beheeded, he is rysen againe from the deed. |
| 6:17 | This Herode had sent forth, and taken Ihon, and put him in preson, because of Herodias his brother Philippes wife, for he had maried her. |
| 6:18 | Neuertheles Ihon sayde vnto Herode It is not laufull for the to haue yi brothers wife. |
| 6:19 | But Herodias layed wayte for him, and wolde haue slayne him, and coude not. |

| 6:24 | She wente forth, and sayde vnto hir mother: what shal I axe? She sayde: Ihon baptistes heade. |
| 6:25 | And immediatly she wete in to the kinge with haist, and sayde: I will that thou geue me straight waye in a platter the heed of Ihon the baptist. |
| 6:26 | Then the kynge was sory: Yet for the oothes sake and the that sat at the table, he wolde not saye her nay. |
| 6:27 | And immediatly he sent the hangman, and commaunded his heade to be brought in. So he wete, and heeded him in the preson, |
| 6:28 | and brought his heade in a platter, and gaue it vnto the damsell, and the damsell gaue it vnto hir mother. |
| 6:29 | And whan his disciples herde that, they came and toke his body, & layed it in a graue. |
| 6:30 | And the Apostles came together vnto Iesus, and tolde hi all, and what they had done and taught. |
| 6:31 | And he sayde vnto them: Let vs go out of the waye in to the wyldernes, and rest a litle. For there were many comers and goers, and they had not tyme ynough to eate. |
| 6:32 | And there he passed by shippe out of ye waye in to a deserte place. |
| 6:33 | And the people sawe the departynge awaye, and many knewe of it, & ranne thither together of fote out of all cities, & came before the, & came vnto him. |
| 6:34 | And Iesus wente out, and sawe moch people, and had copassion vpon them: for they were as the shepe, that haue no shepherde, and he begane a loge sermon. |
| 6:35 | Now whan the daye was farre past, his disciples came vnto him, and sayde: This is a deserte place, |
| 6:36 | let them departe, that they maye go in to the vyllagies and townes rounde aboute, and bye them selues bred, for they haue nothinge to eate. |
| 6:37 | But Iesus answered and sayde vnto them: geue ye them to eate.And they sayde vnto him: Shal we go then, and bye two hundreth peny worth of bred, and geue them to eate? |
| 6:38 | He sayde vnto them: How many loaues haue ye? Go and se. And when they had searched, they sayde: Fyue, and two fisshes. |
| 6:39 | And he commaunded them all to syt downe by table fulles vpon the grene grasse. |
| 6:40 | And they sat downe here a rowe and there a rowe by hundreds and by fifties. |
| 6:41 | And he toke the fyue loaues and two fisshes, and loked vp vnto heauen, and gaue thankes, and brake the loaues, and gaue to the disciples, to set before them. And the two fisshes parted he amonge them all. |
| 6:42 | And they all ate, and were satisfied. |
| 6:43 | And they toke vp twolue baskettes full of ye broken peces and of the fisshes. |
| 6:44 | And they that ate, were aboute fyue thousande men. |
| 6:45 | And anone he caused his disciples to go in to the shippe, and to passe ouer before him vnto Bethsaida, whyle he sent awaye the people. |

| 6:54 | And whan thy were come out of the shippe, immediatly they knewe him, |
| 6:55 | and ranne thorow out all the region aboute, and beganne on euery syde to brynge vnto him in beddes soch as were sicke, where they herde that he was. |

| 6:33 | And thei sayn hem go awei, and many knewen, and thei wenten afoote fro alle citees, and runnen thidur, and camen bifor hem. |
| 6:34 | And Jhesus yede out, and saiy myche puple, and hadde reuth on hem, for thei weren as scheep not hauynge a scheepherd. And he bigan to teche hem many thingis. |
| 6:35 | And whanne it was forth daies, hise disciplis camen, and seiden, This is a desert place, and the tyme is now passid; |

| 6:52 | for thei vndurstoden not of the looues; for her herte was blyndid. |
| 6:53 | And whanne thei weren passid ouer the see, thei camen in to the lond of Genasareth, and settiden to loond. |

| 6:55 | And thei ranne thorou al that cuntre, and bigunnen to brynge sijk men in beddis on eche side, where thei herden that he was. |
| 6:56 | And whidur euer `he entride in to villagis, ethir in to townes, or in to citees, thei setten sijk men in stretis, and preiden hym, that thei schulden touche namely the hemme of his cloth; and hou many that touchiden hym, weren maad saaf. |
