9:1	And hee said vnto them, Uerely I say vnto you, that there be some of them that stand here, which shal not taste of death, till they haue seene the kingdome of God come with power.
9:2	And after sixe dayes, Iesus taketh with him Peter, and Iames, and Iohn, and leadeth them vp into an high mountaine apart by themselues: and he was transfigured before them.
9:3	And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow: so as no Fuller on earth can white them.
9:4	And there appeared vnto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Iesus.
9:5	And Peter answered, and saide to Iesus, Master, it is good for vs to bee here, and let vs make three Tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
9:6	For he wist not what to say, for they were sore afraid.
9:7	And there was a cloud that ouershadowed them: and a voyce came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloued Sonne: heare him.
9:8	And suddenly when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, saue Iesus only with themselues.
9:9	And as they came downe from the mountaine, he charged them that they should tell no man, what things they had seene, till the Sonne of man were risen from the dead.
9:10	And they kept that saying with themselues, questioning one with another, what the rising from the dead should meane.
9:11	And they asked him, saying, Why say the Scribes that Elias must first come?
9:12	And he answered, and told them, Elias verely commeth first, and restoreth al things, and how it is written of the Sonne of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
9:13	But I say vnto you, that Elias is indeed come, and they haue done vnto him whatsoeuer they listed, as it is written of him.
9:14	And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the Scribes questioning with them.
9:15	And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, & running to him, saluted him.
9:16	And he asked the Scribes, What question ye with them?
9:17	And one of the multitude answered, and said, Master, I haue broughe vnto thee my son, which hath a dumbe spirit:
9:18	And wheresoeuer he taketh him, he teareth him, & he fometh, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples, that they should cast him out, and they could not.
9:19	He answereth him, and saith, O faithlesse generation, how long shall I be with you, how long shall I suffer you? Bring him vnto me.
9:20	And they brought him vnto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him, and he fel on the ground, and wallowed, foming.
9:21	And he asked his father, Howe long is it agoe since this came vnto him? And he said, Of a child.
9:22	And oft times it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters to destroy him: but if thou canst doe any thing, haue compassion on vs, and helpe vs.
9:23	Iesus said vnto him, If thou canst beleeue, all things are possible to him that beleeueth.
9:24	And straightway the father of the child cried out and said with teares, Lord, I beleeue, helpe thou mine vnbeliefe.
9:25	When Iesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foule spirit, saying vnto him, Thou dumbe and deafe spirit, I charge thee come out of him, and enter no more into him.
9:26	And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him, and he was as one dead, insomuch that many said, He is dead.
9:27	But Iesus tooke him by the hand, and lifted him vp, and he arose.
9:28	And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him priuately, Why could not we cast him out?
9:29	And hee said vnto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer, and fasting.
9:30	And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee, and he would not that any man should know it.
9:31	For he taught his disciples, and said vnto them, The sonne of man is deliuered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him, and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.
9:32	But they vnderstood not that saying, and were afraid to aske him.
9:33	And he came to Capernaum; and being in the house, he asked them, What was it that yee disputed among your selues by the way?
9:34	But they held their peace: For by the way they had disputed among themselues, who should be the greatest.
9:35	And he sate downe, and called the twelue, and saith vnto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and seruant of all.
9:36	And he tooke a child, and set him in the midst of them: & when he had taken him in his arms, he said vnto them,
9:37	Whosoeuer shall receiue one of such children in my Name, receiueth me: and whosoeuer shall receiue me, receiueth not me, but him that sent me.
9:38	And Iohn answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out deuils in thy Name, and he followeth not vs, and we forbade him, because he followeth not vs.
9:39	But Iesus said, Forbid him not, for there is no man, which shall doe a miracle in my Name, that can lightly speake euill of me.
9:40	For he that is not against vs, is on our part.
9:41	For whosoeuer shall giue you a cup of water to drinke in my Name, because yee belong to Christ: Uerily I say vnto you, he shall not lose his reward.
9:42	And whosoeuer shall offend one of these litle ones that beleeue in me, it is better for him, that a milstone were hanged about his necke, and he were cast into the Sea.
9:43	And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: It is better for thee to enter into life maimed, then hauing two hands, to goe into hell, into the fire that neuer shall be quenched:
9:44	Where their worme dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
9:45	And if thy foote offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, then hauing two feete, to be cast into hell, into the fire that neuer shall be quenched:
9:46	Where their worme dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
9:47	And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, then hauing two eyes, to be cast into helfire:
9:48	Where their worme dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
9:49	For euery one shall be salted with fire, and euery sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
9:50	Salt is good: but if the salt haue lost his saltnesse, wherewith will you season it? Haue salt in your selues, and haue peace one with another.

9:7	And there was a cloude that shadowed them, and a voyce came out of the cloude, saying, This is my beloued Sonne: heare him.
9:8	And suddenly they looked roud about, and sawe no more any man saue Iesus only with them.
9:9	And as they came downe from the mountaine, he charged them, that they should tell no man what they had seene, saue when the Sonne of man were risen from the dead againe.
9:10	So they kept that matter to themselues, and demaunded one of another, what the rising from the dead againe should meane?
9:11	Also they asked him, saying, Why say the Scribes, that Elias must first come?
9:12	And he answered, and said vnto them, Elias verely shall first come, and restore all things: and as it is written of the Sonne of man, hee must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
9:13	But I say vnto you, that Elias is come, (and they haue done vnto him whatsoeuer they would) as it is written of him.
9:14	And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the Scribes disputing with them.
9:15	And straightway all the people, when they behelde him, were amased, and ranne to him, and saluted him.
9:16	Then hee asked the Scribes, What dispute you among your selues?
9:17	And one of the companie answered, and said, Master, I haue brought my sonne vnto thee, which hath a dumme spirit:
9:18	And wheresoeuer he taketh him, he teareth him, and he fometh, and gnasheth his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples, that they should cast him out, and they could not.
9:19	Then he answered him, and said, O faithlesse generation, how long now shall I be with you! how long now shall I suffer you! Bring him vnto me.
9:20	So they brought him vnto him: and assoone as the spirit sawe him, hee tare him, and hee fell downe on the ground walowing and foming.
9:21	Then he asked his father, How long time is it since he hath bin thus? And he said, Of a childe.
9:22	And oft times he casteth him into the fire, and into the water to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, helpe vs, and haue compassion vpon vs.
9:23	And Iesus said vnto him, If thou canst beleeue it, al things are possible to him that beleeueth.
9:24	And straightway the father of the childe crying with teares, saide, Lord, I beleeue: helpe my vnbeliefe.
9:25	When Iesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the vncleane spirit, saying vnto him, Thou domme and deafe spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
9:26	Then the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out, and he was as one dead, in so much that many said, He is dead.
9:27	But Iesus tooke his hande, and lift him vp, and he arose.
9:28	And when hee was come into the house, his disciples asked him secretly, Why could not we cast him out?
9:29	And he saide vnto them, This kinde can by no other meanes come foorth, but by prayer and fasting.
9:30	And they departed thence, and went together through Galile, and hee would not that any should haue knowen it.
9:31	For he taught his disciples, and saide vnto them, The Sonne of man shalbe deliuered into the handes of men, and they shall kill him, but after that he is killed, he shall rise againe the third day.
9:32	But they vnderstoode not that saying, and were afraide to aske him.

9:38	Then Iohn answered him, saying, Master, we sawe one casting out deuils by thy Name, which followeth not vs, and we forbade him, because he followeth vs not.

9:49	For euery man shalbe salted with fire: and euery sacrifice shalbe salted with salt.

9:8	And sodenly whan they had loked rounde aboute, they sawe no man more then Iesus onely with them.
9:9	And as they came downe from the hyll, he charged them, that they shuld tell no man those thynges that they had sene, tyll the sonne of man were rysen from death agayne.
9:10	And they kepte that saieng with them, and demaunded one of another, what the rysyng from death agayne shulde meane?
9:11	And they asked hym, sayenge: why then saye the scribes, that Helias must first come?
9:12	He answered and sayd: vnto them: Helias verely when he commeth fyrst, restoreth all thynges. And the sonne of man (as it is writen of him) shall suffre many thynges, & be sett at naught.
9:13	But I saye vnto you, thut Helias is come, and they haue done vnto hym whatsoeuer they wolde, as it was wryten of hym.
9:14	And whan he came to hys disciples, he sawe moch people about them, & the scribes disputing wt them.
9:15	And streight waye all the people (whan they behelde hym) were amased, and ran to hym, & saluted hym.
9:16	And he asked the scribes: what dispute ye among them?
9:17	And one of the company answered, & sayde: Master, I haue brought vnto the my sonne, whych hath a dome sprete.
9:18	And whensoeuer he taketh him, he teareth him, and he fometh, and gnassheth with hys teth, and pineth awaye. And I spake to thy disciples that they shuld caste hym out, and they coulde not.
9:19	He answereth him, and sayth: O faithles nacion, how longe shall I be wt you? How longe shall I suffre you? Brynge hym vnto me.
9:20	And they brought him vnto hym. And assone as the sprete sawe hym, he tare him. And he fell downe on the ground, walowing & foming.
9:21	And he asketh his father: how longe is it ago: sens thys happened hym? And he sayde: of a chylde:
9:22	& oft tymes it hath cast hym into the fyre, & into the water, to destroye hym. But yf thou canst do eny thing, haue mercy on vs and helpe vs.
9:23	Iesus sayd vnto hym: yf thou couldest beleue all thynges are possyble to hym that beleueth.
9:24	And streyght waye the father of the chyld cried with teares, saieng, Lord, I beleue, helpe thou myne vnbelefe.
9:25	When Iesus sawe that the people came runnyng together vnto him, he rebuked the foule sprete, saying vnto hym: Thou domme & deeff sprete, I charge the come out of him, and entre nomore into him.
9:26	And the sprete (whan he had cried, & rent hym sore) came out of hym, and he was as one that had bene dead, in so moch that many sayd: he is deed.
9:27	But Iesus caught hys hand, and lyft him vp: and he rose.
9:28	And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked hym secretly: why coulde not we cast hym oute?
9:29	And he sayde vnto them: this kynde can come forth by nothing: but by prayer and fastynge.
9:30	And they departed thens, & toke theyr iorney thorow Galile, and he wold not, that eny man shuld knowe it.
9:31	For he taught hys disciples, and sayd vnto them: the sonne of man shalbe deliuered into the handes of men, and they shall kyll hym: and after that he is kylled, he shall aryse agayne the thyrd daye.
9:32	But they wist not what he sayde, and were afrayed to aske him.
9:33	And he came to Capernaum. And when he was come into the house, he asked them: what was it that ye disputed among yourselues by the waye?
9:34	And they helde their peace: for by the waye they had reasoned among them selues, who shuld be the chefest.
9:35	And when he was set downe, he called the twelue to hym, and sayd vnto them: yf eny man desyre to be fyrst, the same shalbe last of all, and seruaunt to all.
9:36	And he toke a chylde, and set hym in the myddes of them: & when he had taken hym in hys armes, he sayde vnto them:
9:37	whosoeuer receaueth eny soche a childe in my name, receaueth me. And whosoeuer receaueth me, receaueth not me, but hym that sent me.
9:38	Iohn answered hym, sayinge: Master, we sawe one cast out deuyls in thy name, & he foloweth not vs: and we forbade hym, because he foloweth vs not.
9:39	But Iesus sayde: forbyd him not. For ther is no man whych (yf he do a myracle in my name) can lyghtely speake euill of me.
9:40	For he that is not agaynst vs, is on oure parte.
9:41	Whosoeuer shall in my name geue you a cuppe of water to drincke, because ye belonge to Chryste, verely I saye vnto you: he shall not loose hys reward.
9:42	And whosoeuer shall offende one of these lytelons, that beleue in me, it were better for hym, yf a mylstone were hanged aboute his necke, and he were cast into the see.
9:43	Wherfore yf thy hande hynder the, cut it of. It is beter for the, to entre into lyfe maymed, then (hauynge two handes) to go into hell, into fyre that neuer shalbe quenched,
9:44	where theyr worme dyeth not, and the fyre goeth not out.
9:45	And yf thy fote be a hynderaunce vnto the, cut it of. It is better for the to go halt into lyfe, then (hauynge two fete) to be cast into hell, into fyre that neuer shalbe quenched:
9:46	where theyr worme dyeth not, and the fyre goeth not out.
9:47	And yf thyne eye hinder the plucke it out. It is better for the to go into the kyngedome of God wyth one eye, then (hauynge two eyes) to be cast into hell fyre:
9:48	where theyr worme dyeth not, and the fyre goeth not out.
9:49	Euery man shalbe salted wyth fyre. And euery sacrifyce shalbe seasoned with salt.
9:50	Salt is good. But yf the salt be vnsauery, what shall ye season ther wyth? haue salt in youre selues: and haue peace amonge youre selues, one wyth another.
