6:1	And it came to passe on the second Sabbath after the first, that he went thorow the corne fields: and his disciples plucked the eares of corne, and did eate, rubbing them in their hands.
6:2	And certaine of the Pharisees said vnto them, Why doe yee that which is not lawfull to doe on the Sabbath dayes?
6:3	And Iesus answering them, said, Haue yee not read so much as this what Dauid did, when himselfe was an hungred, and they which were with him:
6:4	How he went into the house of God, and did take and eate the Shew bread, and gaue also to them that were with him, which it is not lawful to eate but for the Priests alone?
6:5	And he said vnto them, That the sonne of man is Lord also of the Sabbath.
6:6	And it came to passe also on another Sabbath, that he entred into the Synagogue, and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.
6:7	And the Scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heale on the Sabbath day: that they might find an accusation against him.
6:8	But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise vp, and stand foorth in the mids. And he arose, and stood foorth.
6:9	Then said Iesus vnto them, I will aske you one thing, Is it lawfull on the Sabbath dayes to doe good, or to doe euill? To saue life, or to destroy it?
6:10	And looking round about vpon them all, he said vnto the man, Stretch foorth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
6:11	And they were filled with madnesse, and communed one with another what they might doe to Iesus.
6:12	And it came to passe in those dayes, that hee went out into a mountaine to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
6:13	And when it was day, he called vnto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelue; whom also hee named Apostles:
6:14	Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother: Iames and Iohn, Philip and Bartholomew,
6:15	Matthew and Thomas, Iames the sonne of Alpheus, and Simon, called Zelotes,
6:16	And Iudas the brother of Iames, and Iudas Iscariot, which also was the traitour.
6:17	And hee came downe with them, and stood in the plaine, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people, out of all Iudea and Hierusalem, and from the Sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to heare him, and to be healed of their diseases,
6:18	And they that were vexed with vncleane spirits: and they were healed.
6:19	And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went vertue out of him, and healed them all.
6:20	And hee lifted vp his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be yee poore: for yours is the kingdome of God.
6:21	Blessed are yee that hunger now: for yee shall be filled. Blessed are yee that weepe now, for yee shall laugh.
6:22	Blessed are yee when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shal reproach you, and cast out your name as euill, for the Sonne of mans sake.
6:23	Reioice yee in that day, and leape for ioy: for behold, your reward is great in heauen for in the like maner did their fathers vnto the Prophets.
6:24	But woe vnto you that are rich: for yee haue receiued your consolation.
6:25	Woe vnto you that are full: for yee shall hunger. Woe vnto you that laugh now: for yee shall mourne and weepe.
6:26	Woe vnto you when all men shall speake well of you: for so did their fathers to the false Prophets.
6:27	But I say vnto you which heare, Loue your enemies, doe good to them which hate you,
6:28	Blesse them that curse you, & pray for them which despitefully vse you.
6:29	And vnto him that smiteth thee on the one cheeke, offer also the other: and him that taketh away thy cloake, forbid not to take thy coat also.
6:30	Giue to euery man that asketh of thee, and of him that taketh away thy goods, aske them not againe.
6:31	And as yee would that men should doe to you, doe yee also to them likewise.
6:32	For if yee loue them which loue you, what thanke haue ye? for sinners also loue those that loue them.
6:33	And if ye doe good to them which doe good to you, What thanke haue ye? for sinners also doe euen the same.
6:34	And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receiue, What thanke haue ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receiue as much againe.
6:35	But loue yee your enemies, and doe good, and lend, hoping for nothing againe: and your reward shall bee great, and ye shalbe the children of the Highest: for hee is kinde vnto the vnthankfull, and to the euill.
6:36	Be ye therefore mercifull, as your Father also is mercifull.
6:37	Iudge not, and ye shall not bee iudged: condemne not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgiue, and ye shall be forgiuen.
6:38	Giue, and it shall bee giuen vnto you, good measure, preassed downe, and shaken together, and running ouer, shall men giue into your bosome: for with the same measure that ye mete withall, it shall bee measured to you againe.
6:39	And hee spake a parable vnto them, Can the blinde leade the blinde? Shall they not both fall into the ditch?
6:40	The disciple is not aboue his master: but euery one that is perfect shalbe as his master.
6:41	And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye, but perceiuest not the beame that is in thine owne eye?
6:42	Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let mee pull out the mote that is in thine eye: when thou thy selfe beholdest not the beame that is in thine owne eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beame out of thine owne eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pul out the mote that is in thy brothers eye.
6:43	For a good tree bringeth not foorth corrupt fruit: neither doeth a corrupt tree bring foorth good fruit.
6:44	For euery tree is knowen by his owne fruit: for of thornes men doe not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
6:45	A good man out of the good treasure of his heart, bringeth foorth that which is good: and an euill man out of the euill treasure of his heart, bringeth foorth that which is euill: For of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaketh.
6:46	And why call ye mee Lord, Lord, and doe not the things which I say?
6:47	Whosoeuer commeth to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like.
6:48	He is like a man which built an house, and digged deepe, and layd the foundation on a rocke. And when the flood arose, the streame beat vehemently vpon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded vpon a rocke.
6:49	But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house vpon the earth: against which the streame did beate vehemently, and immediatly it fell, and the ruine of that house was great.


6:1	And it fortuned vpon an after pryncipall Sabbath, that he wente thorow the corne felde, & his disciples plucked the eares of corne, and ate, and rubbed the with their hades.
6:2	But certayne of the Pharises sayde vnto them: Wherfore do ye that, which is not laufull to do vpon the Sabbath?
6:3	And Iesus answered, and sayde vnto the: Haue ye not red what Dauid dyd, wha he was hongrie, and they that were with him,
6:4	how he wente in to the house of God, and toke the shewbred, and ate, and gaue also vnto them that were with him, which was laufull for no man to eate, but for the prestes onely?
6:5	And he sayde vnto them: The sonne of man is LORDE euen ouer the Sabbath.
6:6	It came to passe vpo another Sabbath, that he wete in to the synagoge, and taught and there was a man, whose right hande was wythred.
6:7	But ye scrybes and Pharises marked him, whether he wolde heale vpon the Sabbath, that they might fynde an occasion agaynst him.
6:8	Neuertheles he perceaued their thoughtes, and sayde vnto the ma with the wythred hande: Aryse, and steppe forth here. And he arose, and stepped forth.
6:9	Then sayde Iesus vnto the: I wil axe you a question: What is it laufull to do vpo the Sabbath? good, or euell? to saue life, or to destroye it?
6:10	And he behelde the all rounde aboute, and sayde vnto the ma: Stretch out thine hande. And he dyd so. Then was his hande restored him to right, euen as whole as the other.
6:11	But they were fylled full of madnes, and commoned together, what they wolde do to him.
6:12	And it fortuned at the same tyme, that he wente out in to a mountayne to praye, and continued all night in prayer to God.
6:13	And wha it was daye, he called his disciples, and chose twolue of them, whom he called also apostles.
6:14	Symon, whom he named Peter, and Andrew his brother, Iames and Ihon, Phylippe and Bartylmew,
6:15	Mathew and Thomas, Iames the sonne of Alpheus, Symon called Zelotes,
6:16	Iudas the sonne of Iames, and Iudas Iscarioth, which was the traytoure.
6:17	And he wente downe with them, and stode vpon a playne in the felde, and the company of his disciples, and a greate multitude of people, from all Iewry, and Ierusale, and from Tyre and Sydon by the see coast, which were come to heare him, and to be heal
6:18	and they that were vexed with foule spretes, were healed.
6:19	And all the people sought to touch him, for there wente vertue fro him, and healed the all.
6:20	And he lift vp his eyes vpo his disciples, and sayde: Blessed are ye poore, for yours is the kyngdome of God.
6:21	Blessed are ye that honger here, for ye shalbe satisfied. Blessed are ye yt wepe here, for ye shal laugh.
6:22	Blessed are ye, whan men hate you, and put you out of their copanyes, and reuyle you, and cast out youre name as an euell thinge, for the sonne of mans sake.
6:23	Reioyse ye then, and be glad: for beholde, youre rewarde is greate in heauen. Euen thus dyd their fathers vnto the prophetes also.
6:24	But wo vnto you riche, for ye haue youre cosolacion allready.
6:25	Wo vnto you that are full, for ye shal honger. Wo vnto you that laugh here, for ye shal wepe and wayle.
6:26	Wo vnto you whan euery man prayseth you, Euen so dyd their fathers vnto the false prophetes also.
6:27	But I saye vnto you that heare: Loue youre enemies: do good vnto them that hate you:
6:28	blesse them that curse you: praye for them that wrongfully trouble you.
6:29	And who so smyteth the on the one cheke, offre him ye other also. And who so taketh awaye thy cloake, forbyd him not yi cote also.
6:30	Who so euer axeth of the, geue him: and who so taketh awaye thyne, axe it not agayne.
6:31	And as ye wolde that men shulde do vnto you, euen so do ye vnto them likewyse.
6:32	And yf ye loue them that loue you, what thake haue ye therfore? For synners also loue their louers.
6:33	And yf ye do good for youre good doers, what thanke haue ye therfore? For synners also do euen the same.
6:34	And yf ye lende vnto them, of who ye hope to receaue what thake haue ye ther fore? For synners also lende vnto synners, that they maye receaue as moch agayne.
6:35	But rather loue ye yor enemies, do good, and lende, lokynge for nothinge therof agayne: so shal yor rewarde be greate, and ye shalbe the children of the Hyest, for he is kynde, euen to the vnthankfull and to the euell.
6:36	Be ye therfore mercifull, as youre father also is mercifull.
6:37	Iudge not, and ye shal not be iudged. Condepne not, and ye shal not be condempned. Forgeue, and ye shal be forgeuen.
6:38	Geue, and to you shalbe geue. A good measure, pressed downe, shaken together, & runynge ouer, shal me geue into youre bosome. For with what measure ye meete, with the same shal it be measured to you agayne.
6:39	And he sayde a symilitude vnto the: Can the blynde shewe the waye to ye blynde? Do they not both the fall in to the dyche?
6:40	The disciple is not aboue his master. But whosoeuer is perfecte, ye same shalbe as his master.
6:41	But why seist thou a moote i thy brothers eye, and considrest not the beame, that is in thine awne eye?
6:42	Or how canst thou saye vnto thy brother: holde styll brother, I wil plucke ye moate out of thyne eye, and thou thy self seist not ye beame in thine awne eye? Thou ypocryte, Fyrst cast the beame out of thine awne eye, and the shalt thou se clearly to pu
6:43	For it is no good tre, yt bryngeth forth euell frute: and no euell tre yt bringeth forth good frute.
6:44	Euery tre is knowne by his frute. For me gather not fygges of thornes, ner grapes of busshes.
6:45	A good ma out of ye good treasure of his hert, bryngeth forth yt which is good: and an euell ma out of the euell treasure of his hert, bryngeth forth that which is euell. For of the abundaunce of the hert, the mouth speaketh.
6:46	But why call ye me LORDE LORDE, & do not that I saye vnto you?
6:47	Who so euer commeth vnto me, and heareth my wordes and doth the, I wil shewe you to whom he is lyke.
6:48	He is like vnto a man which buylded an house, and digged depe, and layed ye foundacion vpon a rocke. Whan the waters came, the floudes bett vpon that house, and coulde not moue it: for it was grouded vpo ye rocke.
6:49	But he that heareth and doth not, is like vnto a man that buylded his house vpo the earth without foundacion, and the streames bett vpo it, and it fell immediatly, and greate was the fall of that house.


6:1	And it was don in the secounde firste sabat, whanne he passid bi cornes, hise disciplis pluckiden eeris of corn; and thei frotynge with her hondis, eeten.
6:2	And summe of the Farisees seiden to hem, What doon ye that, that is not leeueful in the sabotis?
6:3	And Jhesus answeride, and seide to hem, Han ye not redde, what Dauith dide, whanne he hungride, and thei that weren with hym;
6:4	hou he entride in to the hous of God, and took looues of proposicioun, and eet, and yaf to hem that weren with hem; whiche looues it was not leeueful to eete, but oonli to prestis.
6:5	And he seide to hem, For mannus sone is lord, yhe, of the sabat.
6:6	And it was don in another sabat, that he entride in to a synagoge, and tauyte. And a man was there, and his riyt hoond was drie.
6:7	And the scribis and Farisees aspieden hym, if he wolde heele hym in the sabat, that thei schulden fynde cause, whereof thei schulden accuse hym.
6:8	And he wiste the thouytis of hem, and he seide to the man that hadde a drie hoond, Rise vp, and stonde in to the myddil. And he roos, and stood.
6:9	And Jhesus seide to hem, Y axe you, if it is leueful to do wel in the sabat, or yuel? to make a soule saaf, or to leese?
6:10	And whanne he hadde biholde alle men aboute, he seide to the man, Hold forth thin hoond. And he held forth, and his hond was restorid to helthe.
6:11	And thei weren fulfillid with vnwisdom, and spaken togidir, what thei schulden do of Jhesu.
6:12	And it was don in tho daies, he wente out in to an hil to preye; and he was al nyyt dwellynge in the preier of God.
6:13	And whanne the day was come, he clepide hise disciplis, and chees twelue of hem, whiche he clepide also apostlis;
6:14	Symount, whom he clepide Petir, and Andrew, his brothir, James and Joon,
6:15	Filip and Bartholomew, Matheu and Thomas, James Alphei, and Symount, that is clepid Zelotes,
6:16	Judas of James, and Judas Scarioth, that was traytoure.
6:17	And Jhesus cam doun fro the hil with hem, and stood in a feeldi place; and the cumpeny of hise disciplis, and a greet multitude of puple, of al Judee, and Jerusalem, and of the see coostis, and of Tyre and Sidon,
6:18	that camen to here hym, and to be heelid of her siknessis; and thei that weren trauelid of vncleene spiritis, weren heelid.
6:19	And al puple souyte to touche hym, for vertu wente out of hym, and heelide alle.
6:20	And whanne hise iyen weren cast vp in to hise disciplis, he seide, Blessid be ye, `pore men, for the kyngdom of God is youre.
6:21	Blessid be ye, that now hungren, for ye schulen be fulfillid. Blessid be ye, that now wepen, for ye schulen leiye.
6:22	Ye schulen be blessid, whanne men schulen hate you, and departe you awei, and putte schenschip to you, and cast out youre name as yuel, for mannus sone.
6:23	Joye ye in that dai, and be ye glad; for lo! youre meede is myche in heuene; for aftir these thingis the fadris of hem diden to prophetis.
6:24	Netheles wo to you, riche men, that han youre coumfort.
6:25	Wo to you that ben fulfillid, for ye schulen hungre. Wo to you that now leiyen, for ye schulen morne, and wepe.
6:26	Wo to you, whanne alle men schulen blesse you; aftir these thingis the fadris of hem diden to profetis.
6:27	But Y seie to you that heren, loue ye youre enemyes, do ye wel to hem that hatiden you;
6:28	blesse ye men that cursen you, preye ye for men that defamen you.
6:29	And to him that smytith thee on o cheeke, schewe also the tothir; and fro hym that takith awei fro thee a cloth, nyle thou forbede the coote.
6:30	And yyue to eche that axith thee, and if a man takith awei tho thingis that ben thine, axe thou not ayen.
6:31	And as ye wolen that men do to you, do ye also to hem in lijk maner.
6:32	And if ye louen hem that louen you, what thanke is to you? for synful men louen men that louen hem.
6:33	And if ye don wel to hem that don wel to you, what grace is to you? synful men don this thing.
6:34	And if ye leenen to hem of whiche ye hopen to take ayen, what thanke is to you? for synful men leenen to synful men, to take ayen as myche.
6:35	Netheles loue ye youre enemyes, and do ye wel, and leene ye, hopinge no thing therof, and youre mede schal be myche, and ye schulen be the sones of the Heyest, for he is benygne on vnkynde men and yuele men.
6:36	Therfor be ye merciful, as youre fadir is merciful.
6:37	Nyle ye deme, and ye schulen not be demed. Nyle ye condempne, and ye schulen not be condempned; foryyue ye, and it schal be foryouun to you.
6:38	Yyue ye, and it schal be youun to you. Thei schulen yyue in to youre bosum a good mesure, and wel fillid, and schakun togidir, and ouerflowynge; for bi the same mesure, bi whiche ye meeten, it schal be metun `ayen to you.
6:39	And he seide to hem a liknesse, Whether the blynde may leede the blynde? ne fallen thei not bothe `in to the diche?
6:40	A disciple is not aboue the maistir; but eche schal be perfite, if he be as his maister.
6:41	And what seest thou in thi brotheris iye a moot, but thou biholdist not a beem, that is in thin owne iye?
6:42	Or hou maist thou seie to thi brother, Brothir, suffre, Y schal caste out the moot of thin iye, and thou biholdist not a beem in thin owne iye? Ipocrite, first take out the beem of thin iye, and thanne thou schalt se to take the moot of thi brotheris iye.
6:43	It is not a good tree, that makith yuel fruytis, nether an yuel tree, that makith good fruytis;
6:44	for euery tre is knowun of his fruyt. And men gaderen not figus of thornes, nethir men gaderen a grape of a buysche of breris.
6:45	A good man of the good tresoure of his herte bryngith forth good thingis, and an yuel man of the yuel tresoure bryngith forth yuel thingis; for of the plente of the herte the mouth spekith.
6:46	And what clepen ye me, Lord, Lord, and doon not tho thingis that Y seie.
6:47	Eche that cometh to me, and herith my wordis, and doith hem, Y schal schewe to you, to whom he is lijk.
6:48	He is lijk to a man that bildith an hous, that diggide deepe, and sette the foundement on a stoon. And whanne greet flood was maad, the flood was hurtlid to that hous, and it miyte not moue it, for it was foundid on a sad stoon.
6:49	But he that herith, and doith not, is lijk to a man bildynge his hous on erthe with outen foundement; in to which the flood was hurlid, and anoon it felle doun; and the fallyng doun of that hous was maad greet.
