| 8:1 | And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him, |
| 8:2 | And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, |
| 8:3 | And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance. |
| 8:4 | And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable: |
| 8:5 | A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. |
| 8:6 | And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. |
| 8:7 | And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. |
| 8:8 | And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. |
| 8:9 | And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? |
| 8:10 | And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. |
| 8:11 | Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. |
| 8:12 | Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. |
| 8:13 | They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. |
| 8:14 | And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. |
| 8:15 | But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. |
| 8:16 | No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. |
| 8:17 | For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. |
| 8:18 | Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have. |
| 8:19 | Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press. |
| 8:20 | And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee. |
| 8:21 | And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it. |
| 8:22 | Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth. |
| 8:23 | But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. |
| 8:24 | And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. |
| 8:25 | And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him. |
| 8:26 | And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee. |
| 8:27 | And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs. |
| 8:28 | When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. |
| 8:29 | (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.) |
| 8:30 | And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him. |
| 8:31 | And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep. |
| 8:32 | And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them. |
| 8:33 | Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked. |
| 8:34 | When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country. |
| 8:35 | Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. |
| 8:36 | They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed. |
| 8:37 | Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again. |
| 8:38 | Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying, |
| 8:39 | Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him. |
| 8:40 | And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him. |
| 8:41 | And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come into his house: |
| 8:42 | For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him. |
| 8:43 | And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, |
| 8:44 | Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. |
| 8:45 | And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? |
| 8:46 | And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. |
| 8:47 | And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. |
| 8:48 | And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace. |
| 8:49 | While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master. |
| 8:50 | But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. |
| 8:51 | And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden. |
| 8:52 | And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. |
| 8:53 | And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. |
| 8:54 | And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. |
| 8:55 | And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat. |
| 8:56 | And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done. |

| 8:10 | ο δε ειπεν υμιν δεδοται γνωναι τα μυστηρια της βασιλειας του θεου τοις δε λοιποις εν παραβολαις ινα βλεποντες μη βλεπωσιν και ακουοντες μη συνιωσιν |
| 8:11 | εστιν δε αυτη η παραβολη ο σπορος εστιν ο λογος του θεου |
| 8:12 | οι δε παρα την οδον εισιν οι ακουοντες ειτα ερχεται ο διαβολος και αιρει τον λογον απο της καρδιας αυτων ινα μη πιστευσαντες σωθωσιν |
| 8:13 | οι δε επι της πετρας οι οταν ακουσωσιν μετα χαρας δεχονται τον λογον και ουτοι ριζαν ουκ εχουσιν οι προς καιρον πιστευουσιν και εν καιρω πειρασμου αφιστανται |
| 8:14 | το δε εις τας ακανθας πεσον ουτοι εισιν οι ακουσαντες και υπο μεριμνων και πλουτου και ηδονων του βιου πορευομενοι συμπνιγονται και ου τελεσφορουσιν |
| 8:15 | το δε εν τη καλη γη ουτοι εισιν οιτινες εν καρδια καλη και αγαθη ακουσαντες τον λογον κατεχουσιν και καρποφορουσιν εν υπομονη |
| 8:16 | ουδεις δε λυχνον αψας καλυπτει αυτον σκευει η υποκατω κλινης τιθησιν αλλ επι λυχνιας επιτιθησιν ινα οι εισπορευομενοι βλεπωσιν το φως |
| 8:17 | ου γαρ εστιν κρυπτον ο ου φανερον γενησεται ουδε αποκρυφον ο ου γνωσθησεται και εις φανερον ελθη |
| 8:18 | βλεπετε ουν πως ακουετε ος γαρ αν εχη δοθησεται αυτω και ος αν μη εχη και ο δοκει εχειν αρθησεται απ αυτου |
| 8:19 | παρεγενοντο δε προς αυτον η μητηρ και οι αδελφοι αυτου και ουκ ηδυναντο συντυχειν αυτω δια τον οχλον |
| 8:20 | και απηγγελη αυτω λεγοντων η μητηρ σου και οι αδελφοι σου εστηκασιν εξω ιδειν σε θελοντες |
| 8:21 | ο δε αποκριθεις ειπεν προς αυτους μητηρ μου και αδελφοι μου ουτοι εισιν οι τον λογον του θεου ακουοντες και ποιουντες αυτον |
| 8:22 | και εγενετο εν μια των ημερων και αυτος ενεβη εις πλοιον και οι μαθηται αυτου και ειπεν προς αυτους διελθωμεν εις το περαν της λιμνης και ανηχθησαν |
| 8:23 | πλεοντων δε αυτων αφυπνωσεν και κατεβη λαιλαψ ανεμου εις την λιμνην και συνεπληρουντο και εκινδυνευον |
| 8:24 | προσελθοντες δε διηγειραν αυτον λεγοντες επιστατα επιστατα απολλυμεθα ο δε εγερθεις επετιμησεν τω ανεμω και τω κλυδωνι του υδατος και επαυσαντο και εγενετο γαληνη |
| 8:25 | ειπεν δε αυτοις που εστιν η πιστις υμων φοβηθεντες δε εθαυμασαν λεγοντες προς αλληλους τις αρα ουτος εστιν οτι και τοις ανεμοις επιτασσει και τω υδατι και υπακουουσιν αυτω |
| 8:26 | και κατεπλευσαν εις την χωραν των γαδαρηνων ητις εστιν αντιπεραν της γαλιλαιας |

| 8:29 | παρηγγελλεν γαρ τω πνευματι τω ακαθαρτω εξελθειν απο του ανθρωπου πολλοις γαρ χρονοις συνηρπακει αυτον και εδεσμειτο αλυσεσιν και πεδαις φυλασσομενος και διαρρησσων τα δεσμα ηλαυνετο υπο του δαιμονος εις τας ερημους |

| 8:53 | και κατεγελων αυτου ειδοτες οτι απεθανεν |
| 8:54 | αυτος δε εκβαλων εξω παντας και κρατησας της χειρος αυτης εφωνησεν λεγων η παις εγειρου |
| 8:55 | και επεστρεψεν το πνευμα αυτης και ανεστη παραχρημα και διεταξεν αυτη δοθηναι φαγειν |
| 8:56 | και εξεστησαν οι γονεις αυτης ο δε παρηγγειλεν αυτοις μηδενι ειπειν το γεγονος |

| 8:2 | And also certayne wemen which wer healed of evell spretes and infirmities: Mary called Magdalen out of whom went seven devyls |
| 8:3 | and Ioanna ye wyfe of Chusa Herodees stewarde and Susanna and many other: which ministred vnto the of their substaunce. |
| 8:4 | When moch people were gadred to gether and were come to him out of all cities he spake by a similitude. |
| 8:5 | A sower went out to sowe his seede: and as he sowed some fell by the waye syde and it was troden vnder fete and the foules of the ayre devoured it vp. |
| 8:6 | And some fell on ston and assone as it was spronge vp it widdred awaye because it lacked moystnes. |
| 8:7 | And some fell amonge thornes and ye thornes spronge vp with it and choked it. |
| 8:8 | And some fell on good grounde and sproge vp and bare frute an hondred foolde. And as he sayde these thinges he cryed: He that hath eares to heare let him heare. |
| 8:9 | And his disciples axed him sayinge: what maner similitude is this? |
| 8:10 | And he sayde: Vnto you it is geue, to knowe the mysteryes of the kyngdome of God, but vnto the other in parables, yt though they se it, they shulde not se it, and though they heare it, they shulde not vnderstonde. |
| 8:11 | The similitude is this. The seede is ye worde of God. |
| 8:12 | Thoose yt are besyde the waye are they that heare and afterwarde cometh ye devyll and taketh awaye the worde out of their hertes lest they shuld beleve and be saved. |
| 8:13 | They on the stonnes are they which when they heare receave the worde with ioye. But these have noo rootes which for a whyle beleve and in tyme of temtacio goo awaye. |
| 8:14 | And yt which fell amonge thornes are they which heare and goo forth and are choked wt cares and wt riches and volupteous lyvinge and bringe forth noo frute. |
| 8:15 | That in ye good grounde are they which with a good and pure hert heare the worde and kepe it and bringe forth frute with pacience. |
| 8:16 | No man lyghteth a candell and covereth it vnder a vessell nether putteth it vnder ye table: but setteth it on a candelsticke that they that enter in maye se ye lyght. |
| 8:17 | No thinge is in secret yt shall not come abroode: Nether eny thinge hyd that shall not be knowen and come to lyght. |
| 8:18 | Take hede therfore how ye heare. For whosoever hath to him shalbe geve: And whosoever hath not fro him shalbe take even that same which he supposeth that he hath. |
| 8:19 | Then came to him his mother and his brethren and coulde not come at him for prease. |
| 8:20 | And they tolde him sayinge: Thy mother and thy brethren stonde with out and wolde se the. |
| 8:21 | He answered and sayd vnto them: my mother and my brethren are these which heare the worde of God and do it. |
| 8:22 | And it chaunsed on a certayne daye that he went into a shippe and his disciples also and he sayde vnto them: Let vs goo over vnto the other syde of the lake. And they Lanched forthe. |
| 8:23 | And as they sayled he fell a slepe and there arose a storme of wynde in ye lake and they were fylled with water and were in ieopardy. |
| 8:24 | And they went to him and awoke him sayinge: Master Master we are loost. Then he arose and rebuked the wynde and the tempest of water and they ceased and it wexed calme. |
| 8:25 | And he sayd vnto the: where is youre faith? They feared and wondred sayinge one to another: what felowe is this? for he comaundeth bothe the wyndes and water and they obey him? |
| 8:26 | And they sayled vnto the region of ye Gaderenites which is over agaynst Galile. |
| 8:27 | And as he went out to londe ther met him a certayne man out of ye cite which had a devyll longe tyme and ware noo clothes nether aboode in eny housse: but amonge graves. |
| 8:28 | When he sawe Iesus he cryed and fell doune before him and with a loude voyce sayde: What have I to do with the Iesus the sonne of the God moost hyest? I beseche the torment me not. |
| 8:29 | Then he comaunded ye foule sprete to come out of the man. For ofte tymes he caught him and he was bounde with chaynes and kept with fetters: and he brake the bondes and was caryed of the fende into wyldernes. |
| 8:30 | And Iesus axed him sayinge: what is thy name? And he sayde: Legion because many devyls were entred into him. |
| 8:31 | And they besought him yt he wolde not comaunde the to goo out into ye depe. |
| 8:32 | And ther was there by an heerde of many swyne fedynge on an hyll: and they besought him yt he wolde soffre the to enter into the. And he soffred the. |
| 8:33 | Then went the devyls out of the man and entred into the swyne: And the heerd toke their course and ran heedlynge into the lake and were choked. |
| 8:34 | When the herdmen sawe what had chaunsed they fleed and tolde it in the cite and in the villages. |
| 8:35 | And they came out to se what was done: and came to Iesus and founde ye man out of who the devyls were departed sittynge at the fete of Iesus clothed and in his right mynde and they were afrayde. |
| 8:36 | They also wich sawe it tolde the by what meanes he yt was possessed of ye devyll was healed. |
| 8:37 | And all the whole multitude of ye cotrye of the Gaderenites besought him yt he wolde departe from the: for they were taken wt greate feare. And he gate him into the shippe and returned backe agayne. |
| 8:38 | Then the man out of whom the devyls were departed besought him yt he myght be wt him: But Iesus sent him awaye sayinge: |
| 8:39 | Goo home agayne into thyne awne housse and shewe what great thinges God hath done to ye. And he went his waye and preached thorow out all the cite what great thinges Iesus had done vnto him. |
| 8:40 | And it fortuned when Iesus was come agayne that ye people receaved him. For they all wayted for him. |
| 8:41 | And beholde ther came a man named Iairus (and he was a ruler of ye synagoge) and he fell doune at Iesus fete and besought him yt he wolde come into his housse |
| 8:42 | for he had but a doughter only apon a twelve yere of age and she laye a dyinge. And as he went the people thronged him. |
| 8:43 | And a woman havynge an issue of bloud twelve yeres (which had spent all her substance amonge phisicios nether coulde be holpen of eny) |
| 8:44 | came behinde him and touched the hem of his garmet and immediatly her issue of bloud staunched. |
| 8:45 | And Iesus sayde: Who is it that touched me? when every man denyed Peter and they yt were with him sayde: Master the people thrust the and vexe the: and sayest thou who touched me? |
| 8:46 | And Iesus sayd: Some body touched me. For I perceave that vertue is gone out of me. |
