| 7:1 | Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum. |
| 7:2 | And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. |
| 7:3 | And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant. |
| 7:4 | And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this: |
| 7:5 | For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue. |
| 7:6 | Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: |
| 7:7 | Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. |
| 7:8 | For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. |
| 7:9 | When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. |
| 7:10 | And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick. |
| 7:11 | And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. |
| 7:12 | Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. |
| 7:13 | And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. |
| 7:14 | And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. |
| 7:15 | And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. |
| 7:16 | And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people. |
| 7:17 | And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about. |
| 7:18 | And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things. |
| 7:19 | And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? |
| 7:20 | When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? |
| 7:21 | And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. |
| 7:22 | Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. |
| 7:23 | And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. |
| 7:24 | And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind? |
| 7:25 | But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts. |
| 7:26 | But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet. |
| 7:27 | This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. |
| 7:28 | For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he. |
| 7:29 | And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John. |
| 7:30 | But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him. |
| 7:31 | And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like? |
| 7:32 | They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept. |
| 7:33 | For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil. |
| 7:34 | The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! |
| 7:35 | But wisdom is justified of all her children. |
| 7:36 | And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. |
| 7:37 | And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, |
| 7:38 | And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. |
| 7:39 | Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner. |
| 7:40 | And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. |
| 7:41 | There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. |
| 7:42 | And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? |
| 7:43 | Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged. |
| 7:44 | And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. |
| 7:45 | Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. |
| 7:46 | My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. |
| 7:47 | Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. |
| 7:48 | And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. |
| 7:49 | And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? |
| 7:50 | And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace. |

| 7:9 | ακουσας δε ταυτα ο ιησους εθαυμασεν αυτον και στραφεις τω ακολουθουντι αυτω οχλω ειπεν λεγω υμιν ουδε εν τω ισραηλ τοσαυτην πιστιν ευρον |
| 7:10 | και υποστρεψαντες οι πεμφθεντες εις τον οικον ευρον τον ασθενουντα δουλον υγιαινοντα |
| 7:11 | και εγενετο εν τη εξης επορευετο εις πολιν καλουμενην ναιν και συνεπορευοντο αυτω οι μαθηται αυτου ικανοι και οχλος πολυς |
| 7:12 | ως δε ηγγισεν τη πυλη της πολεως και ιδου εξεκομιζετο τεθνηκως υιος μονογενης τη μητρι αυτου και αυτη ην χηρα και οχλος της πολεως ικανος συν αυτη |
| 7:13 | και ιδων αυτην ο κυριος εσπλαγχνισθη επ αυτη και ειπεν αυτη μη κλαιε |
| 7:14 | και προσελθων ηψατο της σορου οι δε βασταζοντες εστησαν και ειπεν νεανισκε σοι λεγω εγερθητι |
| 7:15 | και ανεκαθισεν ο νεκρος και ηρξατο λαλειν και εδωκεν αυτον τη μητρι αυτου |
| 7:16 | ελαβεν δε φοβος απαντας και εδοξαζον τον θεον λεγοντες οτι προφητης μεγας εγηγερται εν ημιν και οτι επεσκεψατο ο θεος τον λαον αυτου |
| 7:17 | και εξηλθεν ο λογος ουτος εν ολη τη ιουδαια περι αυτου και εν παση τη περιχωρω |
| 7:18 | και απηγγειλαν ιωαννη οι μαθηται αυτου περι παντων τουτων |
| 7:19 | και προσκαλεσαμενος δυο τινας των μαθητων αυτου ο ιωαννης επεμψεν προς τον ιησουν λεγων συ ει ο ερχομενος η αλλον προσδοκωμεν |
| 7:20 | παραγενομενοι δε προς αυτον οι ανδρες ειπον ιωαννης ο βαπτιστης απεσταλκεν ημας προς σε λεγων συ ει ο ερχομενος η αλλον προσδοκωμεν |
| 7:21 | εν αυτη δε τη ωρα εθεραπευσεν πολλους απο νοσων και μαστιγων και πνευματων πονηρων και τυφλοις πολλοις εχαρισατο το βλεπειν |
| 7:22 | και αποκριθεις ο ιησους ειπεν αυτοις πορευθεντες απαγγειλατε ιωαννη α ειδετε και ηκουσατε οτι τυφλοι αναβλεπουσιν χωλοι περιπατουσιν λεπροι καθαριζονται κωφοι ακουουσιν νεκροι εγειρονται πτωχοι ευαγγελιζονται |

| 7:24 | απελθοντων δε των αγγελων ιωαννου ηρξατο λεγειν προς τους οχλους περι ιωαννου τι εξεληλυθατε εις την ερημον θεασασθαι καλαμον υπο ανεμου σαλευομενον |
| 7:25 | αλλα τι εξεληλυθατε ιδειν ανθρωπον εν μαλακοις ιματιοις ημφιεσμενον ιδου οι εν ιματισμω ενδοξω και τρυφη υπαρχοντες εν τοις βασιλειοις εισιν |
| 7:26 | αλλα τι εξεληλυθατε ιδειν προφητην ναι λεγω υμιν και περισσοτερον προφητου |
| 7:27 | ουτος εστιν περι ου γεγραπται ιδου εγω αποστελλω τον αγγελον μου προ προσωπου σου ος κατασκευασει την οδον σου εμπροσθεν σου |
| 7:28 | λεγω γαρ υμιν μειζων εν γεννητοις γυναικων προφητης ιωαννου του βαπτιστου ουδεις εστιν ο δε μικροτερος εν τη βασιλεια του θεου μειζων αυτου εστιν |
| 7:29 | και πας ο λαος ακουσας και οι τελωναι εδικαιωσαν τον θεον βαπτισθεντες το βαπτισμα ιωαννου |
| 7:30 | οι δε φαρισαιοι και οι νομικοι την βουλην του θεου ηθετησαν εις εαυτους μη βαπτισθεντες υπ αυτου |
| 7:31 | ειπεν δε ο κυριος τινι ουν ομοιωσω τους ανθρωπους της γενεας ταυτης και τινι εισιν ομοιοι |
| 7:32 | ομοιοι εισιν παιδιοις τοις εν αγορα καθημενοις και προσφωνουσιν αλληλοις και λεγουσιν ηυλησαμεν υμιν και ουκ ωρχησασθε εθρηνησαμεν υμιν και ουκ εκλαυσατε |
| 7:33 | εληλυθεν γαρ ιωαννης ο βαπτιστης μητε αρτον εσθιων μητε οινον πινων και λεγετε δαιμονιον εχει |

| 7:44 | και στραφεις προς την γυναικα τω σιμωνι εφη βλεπεις ταυτην την γυναικα εισηλθον σου εις την οικιαν υδωρ επι τους ποδας μου ουκ εδωκας αυτη δε τοις δακρυσιν εβρεξεν μου τους ποδας και ταις θριξιν της κεφαλης αυτης εξεμαξεν |

| 7:4 | And they came to Iesus and besought him instantly sayinge: He is worthi that thou shuldest do this for him. |

| 7:6 | And Iesus went with them. And when he was not farre fro the housse the Centurio sent frendes to him sayinge vnto him: Lorde trouble not thy silfe: for I am not worthy yt thou shuldest enter vnder my roffe. |

| 7:12 | When he came nye to the gate of the cite: beholde ther was a deed man caried out which was ye only sonne of his mother and she was a widowe and moche people of the cite was with her. |
| 7:13 | And when ye lorde sawe her he had compassion on her and sayde vnto her: wepe not. |
| 7:14 | And he went and touched the coffyn and they yt bare him stode still. And he sayde: Yonge man I saye vnto the aryse. |
| 7:15 | And ye deed sate vp and beganne to speake. And he delyvered him to his mother. |
| 7:16 | And ther ca a feare on the all. And they glorified god sayinge: a greate prophet is rysen amoge vs and god hath visited his people |
| 7:17 | And this rumor of him wet forthe throughout all Iurie and thorowout all the regions which lye rounde about. |
| 7:18 | And ye disciples of Iohn shewed him of all these thinges. |
| 7:19 | And Iohn called vnto him .ii. of his disciples and sent the to Iesus sayinge: Arte thou he that shall come: or shall we loke for another? |
| 7:20 | When the men were come vnto him they sayde: Iohn baptiste sent vs vnto ye sayinge: Arte thou he that shall come: or shall we wayte for another? |
| 7:21 | And at yt same tyme he cured many of their infirmites and plages and of evyll spretes and vnto many that were blynde he gave sight |
| 7:22 | And Iesus answered and sayd vnto them: Goo youre wayes and shewe Iohn what thinges ye have sene and harde: how yt the blynde se the halt goo the lepers are clensed the deafe heare the deed aryse to the poore is the glad tydinges preached |
| 7:23 | and happy is he that is not offended by me. |
| 7:24 | When ye messengers of Iohn were departed he began to speake vnto ye people of Iohn What wet ye oute into ye wildernes for to se? went ye to se arede shaken wt ye wynde? |
| 7:25 | But what went ye out for tose? A ma clothed in soofte rayment? Beholde they which are gorgeously apparelled and lyve delicatly are in kynges courtes. |
| 7:26 | But what went ye forth to se? A prophete? Ye I saye to you and moare then a prophete |

| 7:29 | And all the people that hearde and the publicans iustified God and were baptised with the baptim of Iohn. |
| 7:30 | But the pharises and scribes despised ye counsell of god agaynst them selves and were not baptised of him. |
| 7:31 | And ye lorde sayd: Wher vnto shall I lyke the men of this generacion and what thinge are they lyke? |
| 7:32 | They are lyke vnto chyldre sittynge in ye market place and cryinge one to another and sayinge: We have pyped vnto you and ye hahave not daunsed: we have mourned to you and ye have not wept. |
| 7:33 | For Iohn baptist cam nether eatynge breed ner drinkynge wyne and ye saye: he hath the devyll. |
| 7:34 | The sonne of man is come and eateth and drinketh and ye saye: beholde a man which is a glotton and a drinker of wyne a frende of publicans and synners. |
| 7:35 | Yet is wysdome iustified of all her chyldren. |
| 7:36 | And one of the pharises desyred him that he wolde eate with him. And he went into ye pharises housse and sate doune to meate. |
| 7:37 | And beholde a woman in that cite which was a synner assone as she knewe that. Iesus sate at meate in the pharises housse she brought an alablaster boxe of oyntmet |
| 7:38 | and she stode at his fete behynde him wepynge and beganne to wesshe his fete with teares and dyd wipe the with the heares of her heed and kyssed his fete and anoynted them with oyntment. |
| 7:39 | When the pharise which bade him sawe that he spake with in him sylfe sayinge: If this man were a prophete he wolde surely have knowen who and what maner woman this is which toucheth him for she is a synner. |
| 7:40 | And Iesus answered and sayde vnto him: Simon I have some what to saye vnto ye. And he sayd master saye on. |
| 7:41 | There was a certayne lender which had two detters ye one ought five hondred pence and the other fyfty. |
| 7:42 | When they had nothinge to paye he forgave the boothe. Which of them tell me will love him moost? |
| 7:43 | Simon answered and sayde: I suppose that he to whom he forgave moost. And he sayde vnto him: Thou hast truly iudged. |
| 7:44 | And he turned to the woman and sayde vnto Simon: Seist thou this woman? I entred into thy housse and thou gavest me noo water to my fete but she hath wesshed my fete with teares and wiped the with the heeres of her heed. |
| 7:45 | Thou gavest me no kysse: but she sence ye tyme I came in hath not ceased to kysse my fete |
| 7:46 | Myne heed wt oyle thou dydest not anoynte: but she hath annoynted my fete wt oyntmet. |
| 7:47 | Wherefore I saye vnto the: many synnes are forgeve her for she loved moche. To whom lesse is forgeven the same doeth lesse love. |
| 7:48 | And he sayde vnto her thy synnes are forgeven ye |
| 7:49 | And they yt sate at meate with him beganne to saye within them selves: Who is this which forgeveth synnes also? |
| 7:50 | And he sayde to ye woman: Thy faith hath saved the Goo in peace. |
