17:1	Das . . . . . . . . un-mihtlich ys þæt ge-dræfednysse ne cunnen. wa þam þe hyo þurh cumað.
17:2	nytre hym wære þæt an cweornstan syo ge-cniht on-buten his sweoren. & syo on sæ ge-worpen þanne he ge-drefe ænne of þisen litlingen.
17:3	Warnied eow gyf þin broðer senegeð kyð him.
17:4	And gif he on ane daige seofe syðen synegeð. & seofen syðan to þe on daig ge-cyrred beoð. & cweð hit me of-þincð. for-gif hit hym.
17:5	Þa cwæðen his apostles. drihten ge-eac urne ge-leafen.
17:6	Ða cwæð drihten. gyf ge hafden ge-leafen swa micel swa an senepes corn. & ge sæden þise treowe syo þu awirt-waled. & aplanted on sæ. & hit hersumede eow.
17:7	Hwilc eower hafd eriendne þeow. oððe sceap læsgendne. þam of þam akere ge-hworfene he him sone saigð gä & site.
17:8	& ne saigð hym gearewe þæt ich ete. & gert þe & þene me þa hwile þe ic ete & drinke. & seððan þu ætst & drincst.
17:9	wenst þu hafð se þeowe anig þanc forðan þe he dyde þæt him be-boden wæs; ne wene ich.
17:10	Swa is eow þanne ge doð eal þæt eow beboden is. Cweðed un-nytte þeowes. we synde. we dyden þæt we don scolden.
17:11	Note: Dum iret iesus in ierusalem transiebat per mediam samariam & galileam. Þa he ferde to ierusalem he eode þurh midde samariam & galileam.
17:12	& þa he eode on sum castel & him agen urnen teon reofle weres. þa stoden hio forren.
17:13	& heore stefne up-ahofen. & cwæðen. hælend be-beodende ge-miltse us.
17:14	Þa he hyo ge-seah þa cwæð he. Gað & ateowiad eow þam sacerden. Ða hyo ferden. hyo wurden ge-clænsede.
17:15	Ða heore an ge-seah þæt he ge-clænsed wæs. þa cyrde he mid micelere stefne god heriende.
17:16	& feoll to his foten. & him þancode. & þes wæs samaritanisc.
17:17	Þa cwæð se hælend hym andsweriende. Hu ne synden teon ge-clænsede. hwær synden þa nigene.
17:18	næs ge-mett se ðe agen-hwurfe. & gode wulder sealde buten þes ælfremede.
17:19	Ða cwæd he aris & ga. for-þan þin ge-leafe þe halne ge-dyde.
17:20	Note: Interrogabant iesum pharisei quando uenit regnum dej. Þa axoden hine þa farisej hwanne godes rice come. Ða andswerede he & cwæð ne cymd godes rice mid begemene.
17:21	ne hyo ne cweðað. efne her hit is. oððe þær; godes rice is be-twenan eow.
17:22	Þa cwæð he to his leorning-cnihten. Þa dages cumæð þanne ge ge-wilnieð þæt ge ge-seon ænne daig mannes sunu. & ge ne seoð.
17:23	& hy seggeð eow her he ys. & þær he is. ne fare ge ne ne felgieð.
17:24	Witoðlice swa se leitres Note: leitresc, with c expuncted. lihtende scind under heofene on þa þing þe under heofene synde. swa byð mannes sune on his daige.
17:25	Ærest him ge-byreð þæt he fela þinge þolie & beon fram þisse cneorisse aworpen.
17:26	& swa on noes dagen wæs ge-worðen. swa beoð mannes sune to-kyme.
17:27	Hyo æten & druncan & wifeden & wæren to gyfte ge-sealde. oððe þane daig þe noe to earke eode; & flod com & ealle for-spilde.
17:28	Eall-swa wæs ge-worðen on lothes dagen & hyo æten & druncan. & bohten & sealden. & planteden & tymbreden.
17:29	Soðlice on þam daige þe loth eode of sodome hit rinde fyr & swefl of heofene. & ealle for-spilde.
17:30	Æfter þisen þingen byð on þam daige þe mannes sune un-wrogen beoð.
17:31	& on þam daige se þe byð on þecene & his fate on huse. ne stihgð he niðer þæt he hyo nyme. & se þe byð on akere; ne went he on-bæc.
17:32	Beoð ge-myndige lothes wifes.
17:33	swa hwilc swa secð his sawle ge-don hæle. he hyo for-spilð. & swa hwilc swa hyo for-spilð; seo hyo ge-liffest.
17:34	Soðlice ic eow segge on þare nihte beoð twegen on bedde. an beoð ge-numen & oþer for-læten.
17:35	Twa byð æt-gadere grindende. an beoð ge-numen & oðer lefed.
17:36	Twegen byð æt akere an byð ge-numen & oðer beoð lefed.
17:37	Ða cwæðen hyo to hym. hwær drihten. Ða cwæð he swa hwær swa se lichama byð þyder beoð earnes ge-gadered.


17:1	Then said he to his disciples, It can not be auoided, but that offences will come, but wo be to him by whome they come.
17:2	It is better for him that a great milstone were hanged about his necke, and that he were cast into ye sea, then that he should offende one of these litle ones.
17:3	Take heede to your selues: if thy brother trespasse against thee, rebuke him: and if hee repent, forgiue him.
17:4	And though he sinne against thee seuen times in a day, and seuen times in a day turne againe to thee, saying, It repenteth mee, thou shalt forgiue him.
17:5	And the Apostles saide vnto the Lord, Increase our faith.
17:6	And the Lord said, If ye had faith, as much as is a graine of mustard seede, and should say vnto this mulberie tree, Plucke thy selfe vp by the rootes, and plant thy selfe in the sea, it should euen obey you.
17:7	Who is it also of you, that hauing a seruant plowing or feeding cattell, woulde say vnto him by and by, when hee were come from the fielde, Goe, and sit downe at table?
17:8	And woulde not rather say to him, Dresse wherewith I may suppe, and girde thy selfe, and serue mee, till I haue eaten and drunken, and afterward eate thou, and drinke thou?
17:9	Doeth he thanke that seruant, because hee did that which was commanded vnto him? I trowe not.
17:10	So likewise yee, when yee haue done all those things, which are commanded you, say, We are vnprofitable seruants: wee haue done that which was our duetie to doe.
17:11	And so it was when he went to Hierusalem, that he passed through the middes of Samaria, and Galile.
17:12	And as hee entred into a certaine towne, there met him tenne men that were lepers, which stoode a farre off.
17:13	And they lift vp their voyces and saide, Iesus, Master, haue mercie on vs.
17:14	And when he saw them, he said vnto them, Goe, shewe your selues vnto the Priestes. And it came to passe, that as they went, they were clensed.
17:15	Then one of them, when hee sawe that hee, was healed, turned backe, and with a loude voyce praised God,
17:16	And fell downe on his face at his feete, and gaue him thankes: and he was a Samaritan.
17:17	And Iesus answered, and said, Are there not tenne clensed? but where are the nine?
17:18	There is none founde that returned to giue God praise, saue this stranger.
17:19	And he saide vnto him, Arise, goe thy way, thy faith hath saued thee.
17:20	And when hee was demaunded of the Pharises, when the kingdome of God shoulde come, he answered them, and said, The kingdome of God commeth not with obseruation.
17:21	Neither shall men say, Loe here, or lo there: for behold, the kingdome of God is within you.
17:22	And he saide vnto the disciples, The dayes will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the dayes of the Sonne of man, and ye shall not see it.
17:23	Then they shall say to you, Behold here, or beholde there: but goe not thither, neither follow them.
17:24	For as the lightening that lighteneth out of the one part vnder heauen, shineth vnto the other part vnder heauen, so shall the Sonne of man be in his day.
17:25	But first must he suffer many things, and be reprooued of this generation.
17:26	And as it was in the dayes of Noe, so shall it be in the dayes of the Sonne of man.
17:27	They ate, they dranke, they married wiues, and gaue in marriage vnto the day that Noe went into the Arke: and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
17:28	Likewise also, as it was in the dayes of Lot: they ate, they dranke, they bought, they solde, they planted, they built.
17:29	But in the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heauen, and destroyed them all.
17:30	After these ensamples shall it be in the day when the Sonne of man is reueiled.
17:31	At that day hee that is vpon the house, and his stuffe in ye house, let him not come downe to take it out: and he that is in the fielde likewise, let him not turne backe to that he left behinde.
17:32	Remember Lots wife.
17:33	Whosoeuer will seeke to saue his soule, shall loose it: and whosoeuer shall loose it, shall get it life.
17:34	I tell you, in that night there shall be two in one bed: the one shalbe receiued, and the other shalbe left.
17:35	Two women shalbe grinding together: the one shalbe taken, and the other shalbe left.
17:36	Two shalbe in the fielde: one shalbe receiued, and another shalbe left.
17:37	And they answered, and saide to him, Where, Lord? And he said vnto them, Wheresoeuer the body is, thither shall also the eagles bee gathered together.


17:1	Then sayde he to ye disciples it can not be avoyded but that offences will come. Neverthelesse wo be to him thorow whom they come.
17:2	It were better for him that a mylstone were hanged aboute his necke and that he were cast into ye see then that he shuld offende one of this lytleons.

17:5	And the apostles sayde vnto the Lorde: increase oure faith.
17:6	And the Lorde sayde: yf ye had faith lyke a grayne of mustard sede and shuld saye vnto this sycamine tree plucke thy selfe vp by the rootes and plant thy selfe in the see: he should obey you.
17:7	Who is it of you yf he had a servaute plowinge or fedinge catell that wolde saye vnto him when he were come from the felde Goo quickly and syt doune to meate:
17:8	and wolde not rather saye to him dresse wherwith I maye sup and gyrde vp thy selfe and serve me tyll I have eaten and dronken: and afterwarde eate thou and drinke thou?
17:9	Doeth he thanke that servaunt because he dyd that which was commaunded vnto him? I trowe not.
17:10	Soo lyke wyse ye when ye have done all thoose thinges which are commaunded you: saye we are vnprofitable servautes. We have done: ye which was oure duetye to do.
17:11	And it chaunsed as he went to Ierusalem that he passed thorow Samaria and Galile.
17:12	And as he entred into a certayne toune ther met him ten men yt were lepers. Which stode a farre of
17:13	and put forth their voyces and sayde: Iesu master have mercy on vs.
17:14	When he sawe the he sayde vnto them: Goo and shewe youre selves to the prestes. And it chaunsed as they went they were clensed.
17:15	And one of them when he sawe that he was clensed turned backe agayne and with a loude voyce praysed God
17:16	and fell doune on his face at his fete and gave him thankes. And the same was a Samaritane.
17:17	And Iesus answered and sayde: are ther not ten clensed? But where are those nyne?
17:18	Ther are not founde that returned agane to geve God prayse save only this straunger.
17:19	And he sayde vnto him: aryse and goo thy waye thy faith hath made the whoale.
17:20	When he was demaunded of ye pharises when the kyngdome of God shuld come: he answered them and sayde: The kyngdome of God cometh not with waytinge for.
17:21	Nether shall men saye: Loo here loo there. For beholde the kyngdome of God is with in you.
17:22	And he sayde vnto the disciples: The dayes will come when ye shall desyre to se one daye of the sonne of man and ye shall not se it.
17:23	And they shall saye to you: Se here Se there. Goo not after them nor folowe them
17:24	for as the lyghtenynge that apereth out of the one parte of the heven and shyneth vnto the other parte of heven: Soo shall the sonne of man be in his dayes.
17:25	But fyrst must he suffre many thinges and be refused of this nacion.
17:26	As it happened in ye tyme of Noe: So shall it be in the tyme of the sonne of man.
17:27	They ate they dranke they maryed wyves and were maryed even vnto yt same daye yt Noe went into ye arke: and ye floud cam and destroyed the all.
17:28	Lykewyse also as it chaunsed in the dayes of Lot. They ate they dranke they bought they solde they planted they bilte.
17:29	And even the same daye that Lot went out of Zodom it rayned fyre and brymstone from heven and destroyed them all.
17:30	After these ensamples shall it be in the daye when the sonne of man shall appere.
17:31	At that daye he that is on the housse toppe and his stuffe in the housse: let him not come doune to take it out. And lykewyse let not him that is in the feldes turne backe agayne to that he lefte behynde.
17:32	Remember Lottes wyfe.
17:33	Whosoever will goo about to save his lyfe shall loose it: And whosoever shall loose his lyfe shall save it.
17:34	I tell you: In that nyght ther shalbe two in one beed the one shalbe receaved and the other shalbe forsaken.
17:35	Two shalbe also a grindynge to gedder: the one shalbe receaved and the other forsaken.
17:36	And they answered and sayde to him: wheare Lorde? And he sayd vnto the: whersoever ye body shalbe thyther will the egles resoorte.
