2:1And the thyrd day, was ther a Maryage in Cana a citie of Galile: & the mother of Iesus was ther.
2:2And Iesus was called also & his disciples vnto the mariage.
2:3And when the wyne fayled, the mother of Iesus sayde vnto him: they haue no wine.
2:4Iesus said vnto her: woman, what haue I to do with the? Myne houre is not yet come.
2:5His mother sayd vnto the mynisters: whatsoeuer he saith vnto you, do it.
2:6And ther were standing there, sixe water pots of stone after the maner of the puryfiyng of the Iewes containinge two or thre fyrkins a pece.
2:7And Iesus sayd vnto them: fill the waterpottes with water. And they filled them vp to the bryme.
2:8And he sayd vnto them: drawe out now, & beare vnto the gouerner of the feaste. And they beare it.
2:9When the ruler of the feaste had tasted the water that was turned vnto wyne, & knew not whence it was (but the mynysters whyche drue the water, knewe) He called the brydegrome,
2:10and sayed vnto him: Al men at the beginning, set forth good wine and when men be dronke, then that which is worsse. But thou hast kept back the good wine vntil now.
2:11This beginning of miracles did Iesus in Cana of Galile, and shewed his glory, & hys disciples beleued on him.
2:12After that he descended into Capernaum, and his mother and his brethren, and his disciples: but continued not manye dayes there.
2:13And the Iewes easter was euen at hande, & Iesus went vp to Ierusalem,
2:14and founde syttinge in the temple those that solde oxen & shepe and doues and chaungers of money.
2:15And he made a scourge of smal cordes: and draue them all out of the temple with the shepe and oxen, and poured out the chaungers money, and ouerthrue the tables,
2:16and sayd vnto them that solde doues: Haue these thinges hence & make not my fathers house an house of marchaundise.
2:17And his dyscyples remembred how that it was written: the zele of thyne house hath euen eaten me.
2:18Then aunswered the Iewes & saied to him: what token shewest thou vnto vs, seyng that thou dost these thinges?
2:19Iesus aunswered and said vnto them: destroy thys temple & in thre dayes. I wyll reare it vp again.
2:20Then said the Iewes .xlvi. yeres was thys temple a buildynge, and wylt thou reare it vp in .iij. daies?
2:21But he spake of the temple of hys bodie.
2:22Assone therfore as he was risen from death agayne, his disciples remembred that he thus said. And they beleued the scrypture, and the wordes whyche Iesus had sayd.
2:23When he was at Ierusalem at easter in the feaste many beleued on his name, when they sawe his miracles which he dyd,
2:24but Iesus put not himself in their handes, because he knewe all men,
2:25and neded not that any man shuld testyfy of man. For he knew what was in man.

2:5His mother sayeth vnto the ministres: whatsoeuer he sayeth vnto you, do it.
2:6And ther were standynge there, syxe waterpottes of stone after the maner of the purifyenge of the Iewes, contaynynge two or thre fyrkins a pece.
2:7Iesus sayeth vnto them: fyll the water pottes with water. And they fylled them vp to the brym.
2:8And he sayeth vnto them: drawe out now, & beare vnto the gouerner of the feaste And they bare it.
2:9When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was turned vnto wyne, and knewe not whence it was (but the mynistres whych drue the water knewe) He calleth the brygdegome,
2:10and sayeth vnto hym: Euery man at the begynninge doth sett forth good wyne, and when men be droncke, then that whych is worse. But thou hast kept the good wyne, vntyll now.
2:11Thys begynninge of myracles dyd Iesus in Cana of Galile, and shewed hys glory, & his disciples beleued on him.
2:12After this he wente downe to Capernaum, he & his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples, and there continued not manye dayes.
2:13And the Iewes ester was euen at hande, and Iesus went vp to Ierusalem,
2:14& founde syttynge in the temple, those that solde oxen and shepe and doues, & chaungers of money.
2:15And when he had made (as it were) a scourge of smal coardes, he droue them all out of the temple, with the shepe & oxen, and powred out the chaungers money, and ouerthrue the tables,
2:16& sayde vnto them that solde doues: Haue these thinges hence, & make not my fathers house an house of marchaundyse.
2:17And his disciples remembred it that is wrytten: the zele of thyne house hath euen eaten me.
2:18Then answered the Iewes and sayde vnto him: what token shewest thou vnto vs, seinge that thou dost these thynges?
2:19Iesus answered & sayde vnto them: destroye thys temple, and in thre dayes I wyll reare it vp.
2:20Then sayde the Iewes .xlvj. yeres was thys temple a byldynge: & wylt thou reare it vp in thre dayes?
2:21But he spake of the temple of his body.
2:22Assone therfore as he was rysen from deeth agayne, his disciples remembred that he thus had sayde. And they beleued the scripture, & the wordes which Iesus had sayde
2:23When he was in Ierusalem at Easter in the feast daye, many beleued on his name, when they sawe his myracles whych he dyd.
2:24But Iesus dyd not commit him selfe vnto them, because he knewe all men,
2:25and neded not, that eny man shuld testifye of him. For he knewe what was in man.

2:3Nowe when the wine failed, the mother of Iesus saide vnto him, They haue no wine.
2:4Iesus saide vnto her, Woman, what haue I to doe with thee? mine houre is not yet come.
2:5His mother saide vnto the seruants, Whatsoeuer he sayeth vnto you, doe it.
2:6And there were set there, sixe waterpots of stone, after the maner of the purifying of the Iewes, conteining two or three firkins a piece.
2:7And Iesus sayde vnto them, Fill the waterpots with water. Then they filled them vp to the brim.
2:8Then he sayde vnto them, Draw out nowe and beare vnto the gouernour of the feast. So they bare it.
2:9Nowe when the gouernour of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, (for he knewe not whence it was: but the seruants, which drewe the water, knewe) the gouernour of ye feast called the bridegrome,
2:10And saide vnto him, All men at the beginning set foorth good wine, and when men haue well drunke, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept backe the good wine vntill nowe.
2:11This beginning of miracles did Iesus in Cana a towne of Galile, and shewed forth his glorie: and his disciples beleeued on him.
2:12After that, he went downe into Capernaum, he and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: but they continued not many daies there.
2:13For the Iewes Passeouer was at hande. Therefore Iesus went vp to Hierusalem.
2:14And he found in the Temple those that sold oxen, and sheepe, and doues, and changers of money, sitting there.
2:15Then hee made a scourge of small cordes, and draue them all out of the Temple with the sheepe and oxen, and powred out the changers money, and ouerthrewe the tables,
2:16And said vnto them that solde doues, Take these things hence: make not my fathers house, an house of marchandise.
2:17And his disciples remembred, that it was written, The zeale of thine house hath eaten me vp.
2:18Then answered the Iewes, and saide vnto him, What signe shewest thou vnto vs, that thou doest these things?
2:19Iesus answered, and said vnto them, Destroy this Temple, and in three daies I will raise it vp againe.
2:20Then said the Iewes, Fourtie and sixe yeeres was this Temple a building, and wilt thou reare it vp in three daies?
2:21But he spake of the temple of his bodie.
2:22Assoone therefore as he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembred that hee thus sayde vnto them: and they beleeued the Scripture, and the worde which Iesus had saide.
2:23Nowe when hee was at Hierusalem at the Passeouer in the feast, many beleeued in his Name, when they sawe his miracles which he did.
2:24But Iesus did not commit him selfe vnto them, because he knewe them all,
2:25And had no neede that any should testifie of man: for he knewe what was in man.
