| 7:28 | But we knowun this man, of whennus he is; but whanne Crist schal come, no man woot of whennus he is. |
| 7:29 | Therfor Jhesus criede in the temple `techynge, and seide, Ye knowen me, and `ye knowen of whennus Y am; and Y cam not of my silf, but he is trewe that sente me, whom ye knowen not. |
| 7:30 | Y knowe hym, and if Y seie that Y knowe hym not, Y schal be lijk to you, a liere; but Y knowe hym, for of hym Y am, and he sente me. |
| 7:31 | Therfor thei souyten to take hym, and no man sette on hym hoondis, for his our cam not yit. |
| 7:32 | And many of the puple bileueden in hym, and seiden, Whanne Crist schal come, whether he schal do mo tokenes, than tho that this doith? |

| 7:51 | Nychodeme seith to hem, he that cam to hym bi nyyt, that was oon of hem, Whethir oure lawe demith a man, |
| 7:52 | but it haue first herde of hym, and knowe what he doith? |
| 7:53 | Thei answeriden, and seiden to hym, Whether thou art a man of Galilee also? Seke thou scripturis, and se thou, that a prophete risith not of Galilee. |
| 7:1 | After these things, Iesus walked in Galile, and woulde not walke in Iudea: for the Iewes sought to kill him. |
| 7:2 | Nowe the Iewes feast of the Tabernacles was at hande. |
| 7:3 | His brethren therefore sayde vnto him, Depart hence, and goe into Iudea, that thy disciples may see thy woorkes that thou doest. |
| 7:4 | For there is no man that doeth any thing secretely, and hee himselfe seeketh to be famous. If thou doest these things, shewe thy selfe to the worlde. |
| 7:5 | For as yet his brethren beleeued not in him. |
| 7:6 | Then Iesus saide vnto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway readie. |
| 7:7 | The world can not hate you: but me it hateth, because I testifie of it, that the workes thereof are euill. |
| 7:8 | Go ye vp vnto this feast: I wil not go vp yet vnto this feast: for my time is not yet fulfilled. |
| 7:9 | These things he sayde vnto them, and abode still in Galile. |
| 7:10 | But assoone as his brethren were gone vp, then went hee also vp vnto the feast, not openly, but as it were priuilie. |
| 7:11 | Then the Iewes sought him at the feast, and saide, Where is hee? |
| 7:12 | And much murmuring was there of him among the people. Some said, He is a good man: other sayd, Nay: but he deceiueth the people. |
| 7:13 | Howbeit no man spake openly of him for feare of the Iewes. |
| 7:14 | Nowe when halfe the feast was done, Iesus went vp into the Temple and taught. |
| 7:15 | And the Iewes marueiled, saving, Howe knoweth this man the Scriptures, seeing that hee neuer learned! |
| 7:16 | Iesus answered them, and saide, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. |
| 7:17 | If any man will doe his will, he shall knowe of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speake of my selfe. |
| 7:18 | Hee that speaketh of himselfe, seeketh his owne glorie: but hee that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no vnrighteousnes is in him. |
| 7:19 | Did not Moses giue you a Law, and yet none of you keepeth the lawe? Why goe ye about to kill me? |
| 7:20 | The people answered, and said, Thou hast a deuil: who goeth about to kill thee? |
| 7:21 | Iesus answered, and saide to them, I haue done one worke, and ye all maruaile. |
| 7:22 | Moses therefore gaue vnto you circumcision, (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers) and ye on the Sabbath day circumcise a man. |
| 7:23 | If a man on the Sabbath receiue circumcision, that the Lawe of Moses should not be broken, be ye angrie with me, because I haue made a man euery whit whole on the Sabbath day? |
| 7:24 | Iudge not according to the appearance, but iudge righteous iudgement. |
| 7:25 | Then saide some of them of Hierusalem, Is not this he, whom they goe about to kill? |
| 7:26 | And beholde, he speaketh openly, and they say nothing to him: doe the rulers know in deede that this is in deede that Christ? |
| 7:27 | Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when that Christ commeth, no man shall knowe whence he is. |
| 7:28 | Then cried Iesus in the Temple as hee taught, saying, Ye both knowe mee, and knowe whence I am: yet am I not come of my selfe, but he that sent me, is true, whome ye knowe not. |
| 7:29 | But I knowe him: for I am of him, and he hath sent me. |
| 7:30 | Then they sought to take him, but no man layde handes on him, because his houre was not yet come. |
| 7:31 | Now many of the people beleeued in him, and said, When that Christ commeth, will he doe moe miracles then this man hath done? |
| 7:32 | The Pharises heard that the people murmured these thinges of him, and the Pharises, and high Priestes sent officers to take him. |
| 7:33 | Then saide Iesus vnto them, Yet am I a little while with you, and then goe I vnto him that sent mee. |
| 7:34 | Ye shall seeke me, and shall not finde me, and where I am, can ye not come. |
| 7:35 | Then saide the Iewes amongs themselues, Whither will he goe, that we shall not finde him? Will he goe vnto them that are dispersed among the Grecians, and teache the Grecians? |
| 7:36 | What saying is this that hee saide, Ye shall seeke mee, and shall not finde mee? and where I am, cannot ye come? |
| 7:37 | Nowe in the last and great day of the feast, Iesus stoode and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come vnto me, and drinke. |
| 7:38 | Hee that beleeueth in mee, as saith the Scripture, out of his bellie shall flowe riuers of water of life. |
| 7:39 | (This spake hee of the Spirite which they that beleeued in him, should receiue: for the holy Ghost was not yet giuen, because that Iesus was not yet glorified.) |
| 7:40 | So many of the people, when they heard this saying, said, Of a trueth this is that Prophet. |
| 7:41 | Other saide, This is that Christ: and some said, But shall that Christ come out of Galile? |
| 7:42 | Saith not the Scripture that that Christ shall come of the seede of Dauid, and out of the towne of Beth-leem, where Dauid was? |
| 7:43 | So was there dissension among the people for him. |
| 7:44 | And some of them would haue taken him, but no man layde handes on him. |
| 7:45 | Then came the officers to the hie Priests and Pharises, and they said vnto them, Why haue ye not brought him? |
| 7:46 | The officers answered, Neuer man spake like this man. |
| 7:47 | Then answered them the Pharises, Are yee also deceiued? |
| 7:48 | Doeth any of the rulers, or of the Pharises beleeue in him? |
| 7:49 | But this people, which know not the Law, are cursed. |
| 7:50 | Nicodemus said vnto them, (he that came to Iesus by night, and was one of them.) |
| 7:51 | Doth our Law iudge a man before it heare him, and knowe what he hath done? |
| 7:52 | They answered, and said vnto him, Art thou also of Galile? Searche and looke: for out of Galile ariseth no Prophet. |
| 7:53 | And euery man wet vnto his owne house. |
| 7:1 | After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; because, He did not want to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him. |
| 7:2 | Now the Jews' Feast of Tabernacles was at hand. |
| 7:3 | His brethren therefore said to Him, "Depart from here and go into Judea, that Your disciples also may see the works that You are doing. |
| 7:4 | Because, no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world." |
| 7:5 | Because even His brethren did not believe in Him. |
| 7:6 | Then Jesus said to them, "My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready." |
| 7:7 | The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil." |
| 7:8 | You go up to this feast. I am not going up to this feast yet, because My time has not yet fully come." |
| 7:9 | When He had said these words to them, He remained in Galilee. |
| 7:10 | But when His brethren had gone up, then He also went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. |
| 7:11 | Then the Jews sought Him at the feast, and said, "Where is He?" |
| 7:12 | And there was much murmuring among the people concerning Him. Because, some said, "He is a good Man"; others said, "No, but He deceives the people." |
| 7:13 | However, no one spoke openly of Him for fear of the Jews. |
| 7:14 | Now about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught. |
| 7:15 | And the Jews marveled, saying, "How does this Man know letters, having never studied?" |
| 7:16 | Jesus answered them and said, "My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me." |
| 7:17 | If anyone will do His will, he will know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak from Myself." |
| 7:18 | He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him." |
| 7:19 | Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill Me?" |
| 7:20 | The people answered and said, "You have a demon. Who is seeking to kill You?" |
| 7:21 | Jesus answered and said to them, "I did one work, and you all marvel." |
| 7:22 | Moses therefore gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath day." |
| 7:23 | If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath day, so that the law of Moses should not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made a man completely well on the Sabbath day?" |
| 7:24 | Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment." |
| 7:25 | Now some of them from Jerusalem said, "Is this not He whom they seek to kill? |
| 7:26 | But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers actually know that this is truly the Christ? |
| 7:27 | However, we know where this Man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one knows where He is from." |
| 7:28 | Then Jesus shouted, as He taught in the temple, saying, "You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know." |
| 7:29 | But I know Him, because I am from Him, and He sent Me." |
| 7:30 | Therefore they sought to take Him; but no one laid hands on Him, because His hour had not yet come. |
| 7:31 | And many of the people believed on Him, and said, "When the Christ comes, will He do more miracles than these which this Man has done?" |
| 7:32 | The Pharisees heard the people murmuring these things concerning Him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take Him. |
| 7:33 | Then Jesus said to them, "I will be with you a little while longer, and then I go to Him who sent Me." |
| 7:34 | You will seek Me and not find Me, and where I am, there you cannot come." |
| 7:35 | Then the Jews said among themselves, "Where does He intend to go that we will not find Him? Does He intend to go to the Dispersion among the Gentiles and teach the Gentiles? |
| 7:36 | What is this thing that He said, 'You shall seek Me and not find Me, and where I am, there you cannot come'?" |
| 7:37 | During the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and shouted saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink." |
| 7:38 | He who believes on Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly will flow rivers of living water." |
| 7:39 | But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing on Him would receive; because, the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. |
| 7:40 | Therefore many from the people, when they heard this saying, said, "Truly this is the Prophet." |
| 7:41 | Others said, "This is the Christ." But some said, "Shall the Christ come out of Galilee? |
| 7:42 | Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the seed of David and from the town of Bethlehem, where David was?" |
| 7:43 | So there was a division among the people because of Him. |
| 7:44 | Now some of them wanted to take Him, but no one laid hands on Him. |
| 7:45 | Then the officers came to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, "Why have you not brought Him?" |
| 7:46 | The officers answered, "No man ever spoke like this Man!" |
| 7:47 | Then the Pharisees replied to them, "Are you also deceived? |
| 7:48 | Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed on Him? |
| 7:49 | But these people that do not know the law are accursed." |
| 7:50 | Nicodemus (he who came to Jesus by night, being one of them) said to them, |
| 7:51 | "Does our law judge a man before it hears him and knows what he is doing?" |
| 7:52 | They answered and said to him, "Are you also from Galilee? Search and look, because no prophet has arisen out of Galilee." |
| 7:53 | And everyone went to his own house. |
