14:1	And he sayd vnto hys disciples: Let not youre hertes be troubled. Beleue in God & beleue in me.
14:2	In my fathers house are manye mansyons. Yf it were not so, I wolde haue told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
14:3	And yf I go to prepare a place for you, I wyl come agayne, and receyue you euen vnto my self, that wher I am, there may ye be also.
14:4	And whyther I go, ye knowe, and the waye ye knowe.
14:5	Thomas sayde vnto him: Lorde we know not whether thou goest Also how is it possyble for vs to knowe the waye?
14:6	Iesus sayd vnto hym: I am the waye, the truthe and the lyfe. And no man commeth to the father, but by me.
14:7	Yf ye had knowen me, ye had knowen my father also. And nowe ye knowe hym, & haue sene hym.
14:8	Philip sayde vnto hym: Lorde shewe vs the father, and it suffyseth vs.
14:9	Iesus sayd vnto hym. Haue I bene so longe tyme with you, and yet haste thou not knowen me? Philip, he that hath sene me, hath sene the father. And how sayest thou then: shew vs the father?
14:10	Beleuest thou not that I am in the father & the father in me? The wordes that I speake vnto you. I speake not of my selfe: but the father that dwelleth in me, is he that doeth the workes.
14:11	Beleue ye not that I am in the father, and the father in me? At the least beleue me for the very workes sake.
14:12	Verely, verely I saye vnto you, he that beleueth on me, the workes that I do, the same shal he do, and greater workes then these shal he do, because I go vnto my father.
14:13	And whatsoeuer ye axe in my name that will I do that the father myght be glorifyed by the sonne.
14:14	Yf ye shall axe any thyng in my name, I wyl do it.
14:15	Yf ye loue me, kepe my commaundementes
14:16	& I will praye the father, and he shal geue you another conforter, that he may byde with you euer
14:17	which is the spirite of truth whom the worlde can not receyue, because the world seeth hym not, neyther knoweth hym. But ye knowe hym. For he dwelleth with you, & shal be in you.
14:18	I wyll not leaue you comfortlesse, but wyll come vnto you.
14:19	Yet a lytel whyle and the worlde seeth me no more: but ye shal se me. For I lyue, and ye shall lyue.
14:20	That daye shall ye knowe that I am in my father, and you in me, and I in you
14:21	He that hathe my commaundementes and kepeth them, the same is he that loueth me. And he that loueth me, shal be loued of my father: And I will loue hym, and will shewe myne owne selfe to him.
14:22	Iudas sayd vnto hym (not Iudas Iscarioth) Lord what is the cause that thou wilte shewe thy selfe vnto vs, & not vnto the worlde?
14:23	Iesus aunswered and sayd vnto hym, yf a man loue me, and will kepe my saiynges, my father also will loue hym & we will come vnto hym, and will dwell to hym.
14:24	He that loueth me not, kepeth not my saiynges. And the wordes whiche ye heare, are not myne, but the fathers which sent me.
14:25	Thys haue I spoken vnto you, beynge yet present with you.
14:26	But that comforter whiche is the holy ghost (whome my father wil send in my name) he shal teache you all thinges, & brynge all thynges to youre remembraunce whatsoeuer I haue tolde you.
14:27	Peace I leaue with you, my peace I geue vnto you. Not as the worlde geueth, geue I vnto you. Let not your hertes be greued, neyther feare ye.
14:28	Ye haue hearde how I sayde vnto you. I go and come agayne vnto you. Yf ye loued me, ye would verely reioyce, because I sayde: I go vnto the father. For the father is greater then I.
14:29	And nowe haue I shewed you before it come, that when it is come to passe, ye myght beleue.
14:30	Here after will I not talke manye wordes vnto you. For the ruler of thys world cometh and hath noughte in me.
14:31	But that the worlde maye knowe that I loue the father: therfore as the father gaue me commaundement euen so do I. Ryse, let vs go hence.

14:5	Thomas sayth vnto him: Lord, we knowe not whither thou goest. And how is it possible for vs to knowe the waye?
14:6	Iesus sayeth vnto hym: I am the waye and the treuth, and the lyfe. No man cometh vnto the father, but by me.
14:7	If ye had knowen me, ye had knowen my father also. And now ye knowe him, and haue sene hym.
14:8	Philip sayth vnto hym: Lorde, shewe vs the father, & it suffiseth vs.
14:9	Iesus sayth vnto hym: haue I bene so longe tyme with you, & yet hast thou not knowen me? Philip, he that hath sene me, hath sene my father. And howe sayest thou then: shewe vs the father?
14:10	Beleuest thou not, that I am in the father, & the father in me? The wordes that I speake vnto you, I speake not of my self: but the father that dwelleth in me is he that doth the workes.
14:11	Beleue me that I am in the father, & the father in me. Or els beleue me for the worckes sake.
14:12	Uerely verely, I saye vnto you: he that beleueth on me, the worckes that I do, the same shal he do also, & greater worckes then these shall he do, because I go vnto my father.
14:13	And whatsoeuer ye aske in my name, that will I do, that the father maye be glorifyed by the sonne.
14:14	If ye shall aske any thynge in my name. I will do it.
14:15	If ye loue me, kepe my commaundementes,
14:16	& I will praye the father, and he shall geue you another comforter, that he maye bide wt you for euer:
14:17	euen the sprete of treuth, whom the world cannot receaue, because the worlde seeth hym not, nether knoweth him. But ye knowe him. For he dwelleth wt you, & shalbe in you.
14:18	I wyll not leaue you comforteles: but will come to you:
14:19	Yet a lytell while and the world seeth me nomore: but ye se me. For I lyue, & ye shall lyue.
14:20	That daye shall ye knowe that I am in my father, and you in me, and I in you.
14:21	He that hath my commaundementes, and kepeth them: the same is he that loueth me. And he that loueth me, shalbe loued of my father: and I wyll loue hym, and wyll shewe myne awne selfe to him.
14:22	Iudas sayth vnto hym: (not Iudas Iscarioth) Lorde, what is done that thou wylt shewe thy selfe vnto vs, and not vnto the world?
14:23	Iesus answered & sayd: vnto them: yf a man loue me, he will kepe my sayinges, and my father wyll loue hym, and we wyll come vnto hym, and dwell wt hym.
14:24	He that loueth me not, kepeth not my sayinges. And the worde which ye heare, is not myne, but the fathers which sent me.
14:25	These thinges haue I spoken ynto you, being yet present with you.
14:26	But the comforter which is the holy ghost whom my father wil sende in my name, he shal teach you all thinges, & bryng all thinges to your remembraunce whatsoeuer I haue sayd vnto you.
14:27	Peace I leaue with you, my peace I geue vnto you. Not as the world geueth, geue I vnto you. Let not youre hertes be greued, nether feare.
14:28	Ye haue hearde howe I sayde vnto you: I go, and come agayne vnto you. If ye loued me, ye wolde verely reioyse, because I sayd: I go vnto the father, for the father is greater then I.
14:29	And nowe haue I shewed you before it come, that when it is come to passe, ye myght beleue.
14:30	Here after wyll I not talke many wordes vnto you. For the prince of this worlde commeth, and hath naught in me.
14:31	But that the worlde maye knowe that I loue the father. And as the father gaue me commaundment, euen so do I. Ryse, let vs go hence.

14:3	And if I go to prepare a place for you, I wil come againe, and receiue you vnto my selfe, that where I am, there may ye be also.
14:4	And whither I go, ye know, and the way ye knowe.
14:5	Thomas sayd vnto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest: how can we then know ye way?
14:6	Iesus sayd vnto him, I am that Way, and that Trueth, and that Life. No man commeth vnto the Father, but by me.
14:7	If ye had knowen mee, ye should haue knowen my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and haue seene him.
14:8	Philippe sayd vnto him, Lord, shewe vs thy Father, and it sufficeth vs.
14:9	Iesus sayd vnto him, I haue bene so long time with you, and hast thou not knowen mee, Philippe? he that hath seene me, hath seene my Father: how then sayest thou, Shewe vs thy Father?
14:10	Beleeuest thou not, that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me? The wordes that I speake vnto you, I speake not of my selfe: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the workes.
14:11	Beleeue me, that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me: at the least, beleeue me for the very workes sake.
14:12	Verely, verely I say vnto you, he that beleeueth in me, the workes that I doe, hee shall doe also, and greater then these shall he doe: for I goe vnto my Father.
14:13	And whatsoeuer ye aske in my Name, that will I doe, that the Father may be glorified in the Sonne.
14:14	If ye shall aske any thing in my Name, I will doe it.
14:15	If ye loue me, keepe my comandements,
14:16	And I wil pray the Father, and he shall giue you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for euer,
14:17	Euen the Spirit of trueth, whome the world can not receiue, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye knowe him: for he dwelleth with you, and shalbe in you.
14:18	I will not leaue you fatherles: but I will come to you.
14:19	Yet a litle while, and the world shall see me no more, but ye shall see me: because I liue, ye shall liue also.
14:20	At that day shall ye knowe that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
14:21	He that hath my commandements, and keepeth them, is he that loueth me: and he that loueth me, shall be loued of my Father: and I will loue him, and wil shewe mine owne selfe to him.
14:22	Iudas sayd vnto him (not Iscariot) Lord, what is the cause that thou wilt shewe thy selfe vnto vs, and not vnto the world?
14:23	Iesus answered, and sayd vnto him, If any man loue me, he will keepe my worde, and my Father will loue him, and we wil come vnto him, and wil dwell with him.

14:25	These things haue I spoken vnto you, being present with you.
14:26	But the Comforter, which is the holy Ghost, whom the Father wil send in my Name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, which I haue tolde you.
14:27	Peace I leaue with you: my peace I giue vnto you: not as the worlde giueth, giue I vnto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor feare.
14:28	Ye haue heard howe I saide vnto you, I goe away, and will come vnto you. If ye loued me, ye would verely reioyce, because I said, I goe vnto the Father: for the Father is greater then I.
14:29	And nowe haue I spoken vnto you, before it come, that when it is come to passe, ye might beleeue.
14:30	Hereafter will I not speake many things vnto you: for the prince of this world commeth, and hath nought in me.
14:31	But it is that the world may knowe that I loue my Father: and as the Father hath commanded me, so I doe. Arise, let vs goe hence.
