| 1:2 | whych he had promysed afore by hys Prophetes in the holy scriptures |
| 1:3 | of hys sonne, whych was borne of the seed of Dauid after the flesshe: |
| 1:4 | and hath bene declared to be the sonne of God wt power, after the sprete that sanctifyeth, sence the tyme that Iesus Chryst oure Lorde rose agayne from deeth |
| 1:5 | by whom we haue receaued grace & Apostleshyp, that obedience myght be geuen vnto the fayth in hys name amonge all heathen, |

| 1:15 | So that (as moch as in me is) I am redy to preach the Gospell to you that are at Rome also. |
| 1:16 | For I am not asshamed of the Gospell of Chryst, because it is the power of God vnto saluacion to euery one that beleueth, to the Iewe fyrst, & also to the Gentyle. |
| 1:17 | For by it is the ryghtewesnes of God opened from fayth to fayth. |
| 1:18 | As it is written the iust shall lyue by fayth. For the wrath of God apeareth from heauen agaynst all vngodlynes and vnryghtewesnes of men, whych withholde the trueth in vnrightewesnes: |
| 1:19 | seynge that it whych maye be knowen of God, is manyfest amonge them because God hath shewed it vnto them. |
| 1:20 | For hys inuisyble thinges (that is to saye hys eternall power ad godhed) are sene, for as moch as they are vnderstande by the workes from the creacyon of the worlde: So that they are wythout excuse |
| 1:21 | because that when they knewe God, they glorifyed hym not as God, nether were thankfull but wexed full of vanities in theyr imaginacions, and theyr folysh hert was blynded. |
| 1:22 | When they counted them selues wyse, they became fooles |
| 1:23 | and turned the glory of the immortall God, vnto an ymage, made not onely after the symilitude of a mortall man but also of byrdes, & fourefoted beastes & of creping beastes. |
| 1:24 | Wherfore, God gaue them vp, to vnclennes, thorow the lustes of their awne heartes to defyle their awne bodyes amonge them selues: |
| 1:25 | whych chaunged hys truthe for a lye. and worshypped and serued the thinges that be made, more than hym that made them, which is to be praysed for euer. Amen. |
| 1:26 | Wherfore, God gaue them vp vnto shamefull lustes: For euen their wemen dyd chaunge the naturall vse in to that whych is agaynst nature. |
| 1:27 | And lyke wyse also the men, lefte the natural vse of the woman, and brent in their lustes one wyth another, men wyth men wrought fylthynes, and receaued to them selues the rewarde of theyr erroure, as it was accordynge. |
| 1:28 | And as they regarded not to knowe God euen so God delyuered them vp vnto a lewde mynde, that they shulde do those thynges whych were not comly, |
| 1:29 | beyng full of all vnryghteousnesse, fornicacyon, wyckednes, coueteousnes, malicyousnes, full of enuye morther, debate, disceyte, euyll condicyoned, whysperers, |
| 1:30 | backbyters, haters of God, dysdaynfull, proude, boasters, bringers vp of euyll thynges, disobedyent to father and mother, |

| 1:32 | Which men, though they knew the ryghtewesnes of God, how that they which commyt soche thynges, are worthy of deeth, not only do the same but also haue pleasure in them that do them. |
| 1:1 | Poul, the seruaunt of Jhesu Crist, clepid an apostle, departid in to the gospel of God; |
| 1:2 | which he hadde bihote tofore bi his profetis in holi scripturis of his sone, |

| 1:13 | And, britheren, Y nyle, that ye vnknowun, that ofte Y purposide to come to you, and Y am lett to this tyme, that Y haue sum fruyt in you, as in othere folkis. |
| 1:14 | To Grekis and to barberyns, to wise men and to vnwise men, |

| 1:16 | For Y schame not the gospel, for it is the vertu of God in to heelthe to ech man that bileueth, to the Jew first, and to the Greke. |
| 1:17 | For the riytwisnesse of God is schewid in it, of feith in to feith, |
| 1:18 | as it is writun, For a iust man lyueth of feith. For the wraththe of God is schewid fro heuene on al vnpite and wickidnesse of tho men, that withholden the treuthe of God in vnriytwisnes. |
| 1:19 | For that thing of God that is knowun, is schewid to hem, for God hath schewid to hem. |
| 1:20 | For the vnuysible thingis of hym, that ben vndurstondun, ben biholdun of the creature of the world, bi tho thingis that ben maad, yhe, and the euerlastynge vertu of hym and the godhed, so that thei mowe not be excusid. |
| 1:21 | For whanne thei hadden knowe God, thei glorifieden hym not as God, nether diden thankyngis; but thei vanyschiden in her thouyts, and the vnwise herte of hem was derkid. |
| 1:22 | For thei `seiynge that hem silf weren wise, thei weren maad foolis. |
| 1:23 | And thei chaungiden the glorie of `God vncorruptible in to the licnesse of an ymage of a deedli man, and of briddis, and of foure footid beestis, and of serpentis. |
| 1:24 | For which thing God bitook hem in to the desiris of her herte, in to vnclennesse, that thei punysche with wrongis her bodies in hem silf. |
| 1:25 | The whiche chaungiden the treuthe of God in to leesyng, and herieden and serueden a creature rathere than to the creatoure, that is blessid in to worldis of worldis. |
| 1:26 | Amen. Therfor God bitook hem in to passiouns of schenschipe. For the wymmen of hem chaungiden the kyndli vss in to that vss that is ayens kynde. |
| 1:27 | Also the men forsoken the kyndli vss of womman, and brenneden in her desiris togidere, and men in to men wrouyten filthehed, and resseyueden in to hem silf the meede that bihofte of her errour. |
| 1:28 | And as thei preueden that thei hadden not God in knowyng, God bitook hem in to a repreuable wit, that thei do tho thingis that ben not couenable; that thei ben fulfillid with al wickidnesse, |

| 1:1 | Pavl the seruaunte of Iesus Christ, called to be an Apostle, put aparte to preach the Gospell of God |
| 1:2 | (which he promysed a fore by his prophetes in ye holy scriptures) |
| 1:3 | off his sonne, which was begotte of ye sede of Dauid after the flesh: |
| 1:4 | and mightely declared to be the sonne of God after the sprete which sanctifieth, sence the tyme that he rose agayne from the deed, namely, Iesus Christ oure LORDE, |
| 1:5 | by whom we haue receaued grace and Apostelshippe amonge all Heythen, to set vp the obedience of faith vnder his name, |

| 1:10 | that I mighte once haue a prosperous iourney ( by the will off God) to come vnto you. |
| 1:11 | For I longe to se you, that I mighte bestowe vpon you some spirituall gifte to stregth you |
| 1:12 | (that is)that I mighte be conforted with you, thorow yor faith & myne, which we haue together. |

| 1:15 | Wherfore (as moch as i me is) I am ready to preach the Gospell vnto you at Rome also. |
| 1:16 | For I am not ashamed of the Gospell of Christ: for it is the power of God, which saueth all that beleue theron, the Iewe first & also the Greke: |
| 1:17 | for in it ye righteousnes that is of value before God, is opened, which cometh out of faith i to faith. |
| 1:18 | As it is wrytte: The iust shal lyue by his faith. For ye wrath of God is declared from heauen vpon all vngodlynes and vnrighteousnes of me,which witholde the trueth of God in vnrighteousnes: |

| 1:22 | Whan they counted them selues wyse, they became fooles: |
| 1:23 | and turned ye glory of the incorruptible God in to ye symilitude of ye ymage of a corruptible ma, & of byrdes, & of foure foted, & of crepinge beestes |
| 1:24 | Wherfore God likewyse gaue them vp vnto their hertes lustes in to vnclennes, to defyle their awne bodies in them selues, |
