| 5:1 | Therefore being iustified by faith, wee haue peace with God, through our Lord Iesus Christ. |
| 5:2 | By whom also wee haue accesse by faith, into this grace wherein wee stand, and reioyce in hope of the glory of God. |
| 5:3 | And not onely so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience: |
| 5:4 | And patience, experience: and experience, hope: |
| 5:5 | And hope maketh not ashamed, because the loue of God is shed abroad in our hearts, by the holy Ghost, which is giuen vnto vs. |
| 5:6 | For when wee were yet without strength, in due time, Christ died for the vngodly. |
| 5:7 | For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peraduenture for a good man, some would euen dare to dye. |
| 5:8 | But God commendeth his loue towards vs, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for vs. |
| 5:9 | Much more then being now iustified by his blood, we shalbe saued from wrath through him. |
| 5:10 | For if when wee were enemies, we were reconciled to God, by the death of his sonne: much more being reconciled, we shalbe saued by his life. |
| 5:11 | And not onely so, but wee also ioy in God, through our Lorde Iesus Christ, by whom we haue now receiued the atonement. |
| 5:12 | Wherefore, as by one man sinne entred into the world, and death by sin: and so death passed vpon all men, for that all haue sinned. |
| 5:13 | For vntill the Law sinne was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no Law. |
| 5:14 | Neuertheles, death reigned from Adam to Moses, euen ouer them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adams transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come: |
| 5:15 | But not as the offence, so also is the free gift: for if through the offence of one, many bee dead: much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man Iesus Christ, hath abounded vnto many. |
| 5:16 | And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the iudgement was by one to condemnation: but the free gift is of many offences vnto iustification. |
| 5:17 | For if by one mans offence, death raigned by one, much more they which receiue abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousnes, shall reigne in life by one, Iesus Christ. |
| 5:18 | Therfore as by the offence of one, iudgment came vpon all men to condemnation: euen so by the righteousnes of one, the free gift came vpon all men vnto iustification of life. |
| 5:19 | For as by one mans disobedience many were made sinners: so by the obedience of one, shall many bee made righteous. |
| 5:20 | Moreouer, the Lawe entred, that the offence might abound: but where sinne abounded, grace did much more abound. |
| 5:21 | That as sinne hath reigned vnto death; euen so might grace reigne thorow righteousnes vnto eternall life, by Iesus Christ our Lord. |
| 5:1 | Because therfore that we are iustified by faith, we haue peace with God thorow oure LORDE Iesus Christ |
| 5:2 | by who also we haue an intraunce in faith vnto this grace, wherin we stonde, & reioyse in the hope of ye glorye for to come, which God shal geue. |
| 5:3 | Not onely yt, but we reioyse also i troubles, for so moch as we knowe, yt trouble bryngeth paciece, |
| 5:4 | paciece bryngeth experiece, experiece bryngeth hope: |
| 5:5 | As for hope, is letteth vs not come to cofusion, because the loue of God is shed abrode in oure hertes, by the holy goost which is geuen vnto vs. |
| 5:6 | For whan we were yet weake acordinge to the tyme, Christ dyed for vs vngodly. |
| 5:7 | Now dyeth there scace eny man for the righteous sake: Peraduenture for a good man durst one dye. |
| 5:8 | Therfore doth God set forth his loue towarde vs, in yt Christ dyed for vs,whan we were yet synners: |
| 5:9 | Moch more then shal we be saued from wrath by him seynge we are now made righteous thorow his bloude. |
| 5:10 | For yf we were recocyled vnto God by ye death of his sone, wha we were yet enemies: moch more shal we be saued by him, now yt we are reconcyled. |
| 5:11 | Not onely that, but we reioyse also in God thorow oure LORDE Iesus Christ, by whom we haue now receaued the attonement. |
| 5:12 | Wherfore as by one man synned entred in to the worlde, and death by ye meanes off synne: |
| 5:13 | euen so wente death also ouer all men, in so moch as they all haue synned. For synne was in ye worlde vnto the lawe: but where no lawe is, there is not synne regarded. |
| 5:14 | Neuertheles death reigned from Adam vnto Moses, euen ouer them also that synned not with like trangression as dyd Adam, which is ye ymage of him yt was to come. |
| 5:15 | But it is not with the gifte as with the synne: for yf thorow the synne of one many be deed, yet moch more plenteously came the grace and gifte of God vpon many by the fauoure that belonged vnto one man Iesus Christ. |
| 5:16 | And the gifte is not onely ouer one synne, as death came thorow one synne of one that synned. For the iudgment came of one synne vnto condempnacion, but the gifte to iustifye fro many synnes. |
| 5:17 | For yf by ye synne of one, death raigned by the meanes of one, moch more shal they which receaue the abudaunce of grace and of the gifte vnto righteousnes, raigne in life by ye meanes of one Iesus Christ. |
| 5:18 | Likewyse the as by the synne of one, condemnacion came on all men, euen so also by the righteousness of one, came the iustififienge off life vpon all men. |
| 5:19 | For as by the disobedience of one, many became synners, euen so by the obedience of one shal many be made righteous. |
| 5:20 | But the lawe in the meane tyme entred, that synne shulde increace. Neuertheles where abundaunce of synne was, there was yet more plenteousnes of grace: |
| 5:21 | that, like as synne had reigned vnto death, eue so mighte grace reigne also thorow righteousnes to euerlastinge life by the meanes of Iesus Christ. |
| 5:1 | Therfor we, iustified of feith, haue we pees at God bi oure Lord Jhesu Crist. |
| 5:2 | Bi whom we han niy goyng to, bi feith in to this grace, in which we stonden, and han glorie in the hope of the glorie of Goddis children. |
| 5:3 | And not this oneli, but also we glorien in tribulaciouns, witynge that tribulacioun worchith pacience, |
| 5:4 | and pacience preuyng, and preuyng hope. |
| 5:5 | And hope confoundith not, for the charite of God is spred abrood in oure hertis bi the Hooli Goost, that is youun to vs. |
| 5:6 | And while that we weren sijk aftir the tyme, what diede Crist for wickid men? |
| 5:7 | For vnnethis dieth ony man for the iust man; and yit for a good man perauenture summan dar die. |
| 5:8 | But God comendith his charite in vs; for if whanne we weren yit synneris, |
| 5:9 | aftir the tyme Crist was deed for vs, thanne myche more now we iustified in his blood, schulen be saaf fro wraththe bi him. |
| 5:10 | For if whanne we weren enemyes, we ben recounselid to God bi the deth of his sone, myche more we recounselid schulen be saaf in the lijf of hym. |
| 5:11 | And not oneli this, but also we glorien in God, bi oure Lord Jhesu Crist, bi whom we han resseyued now recounseling. |
| 5:12 | Therfor as bi o man synne entride in to this world, and bi synne deth, and so deth passide forth in to alle men, in which man alle men synneden. |
| 5:13 | For `til to the lawe synne was in the world; but synne was not rettid, whanne lawe was not. |
| 5:14 | But deth regnyde from Adam `til to Moises, also in to hem that synneden not in licnesse of the trespassyng of Adam, the which is licnesse of Crist to comynge. |
| 5:15 | But not as gilt, so the yifte; for if thorouy the gilt of oon manye ben deed, myche more the grace of God and the yifte in the grace of o man Jhesu Crist hath aboundid in to many men. |
| 5:16 | And not as bi o synne, so bi the yifte; for the doom of oon in to condempnacioun, but grace of many giltis in to iustificacioun. |
| 5:17 | For if in the gilt of oon deth regnede thorouy oon, myche more men that takyn plente of grace, and of yyuyng, and of riytwisnesse, schulen regne in lijf bi oon Jhesu Crist. |
| 5:18 | Therfor as bi the gilt of oon in to alle men in to condempnacioun, so bi the riytwisnesse of oon in to alle men in to iustifiyng of lijf. |
| 5:19 | For as bi inobedience of o man manye ben maad synneris, so bi the obedience of oon manye schulen be iust. |
| 5:20 | And the lawe entride, that gilt schulde be plenteuouse; but where gilt was plenteuouse, |
| 5:21 | grace was more plenteuouse. That as synne regnede in to deth, so grace regne bi riytwisnesse in to euerlastynge lijf, bi `Crist Jhesu oure Lord. |
