| 2:1 | And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellencie of speech, or of wisedome, declaring vnto you the testimony of God. |
| 2:2 | For I determined not to know any thing amog you, saue Iesus Christ, and him crucified. |
| 2:3 | And I was with you in weakenesse, and in feare, and in much trembling. |
| 2:4 | And my speech, and my preaching was not with entising words of mans wisedome, but in demonstration of the Spirit, and of power: |
| 2:5 | That your faith should not stand in the wisdome of men, but in the power of God. |
| 2:6 | Howbeit wee speake wisedome among them that are perfect: yet not the wisedome of this worlde, nor of the Princes of this worlde, that come to nought: |
| 2:7 | But wee speake the wisedome of God in a mysterie, euen the hidden wisedome which God ordeined before the world, vnto our glory. |
| 2:8 | Which none of the princes of this world knewe: for had they knowen it, they would not haue crucified the Lord of glory. |
| 2:9 | But as it is written, Eye hath not seene, nor eare heard, neither haue entred into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that loue him. |
| 2:10 | But God hath reueiled them vnto vs by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deepe things of God. |
| 2:11 | For what man knoweth the things of a man, saue the spirit of man which is in him? Euen so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. |
| 2:12 | Now wee haue receiued, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that wee might know the things that are freely giuen to vs of God. |
| 2:13 | Which things also we speake, not in the words which mans wisedome teacheth, but which the holy Ghost teacheth, comparing spiritual things with spirituall. |
| 2:14 | But the naturall man receiueth not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishnesse vnto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. |
| 2:15 | But he that is spirituall, iudgeth all things, yet he himselfe is iudged of no man. |
| 2:16 | For who hath knowen the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him? But we haue the mind of Christ. |
| 2:1 | And I brethre, wha I came vnto you came not wt hye wordes or hye wyssdome, to shewe vnto you the preachinge of Christ. |
| 2:2 | For I shewed not forth my selfe amonge you that I knewe eny thinge, saue onely Iesus Christ, euen the sam thate was crucified. |
| 2:3 | And I was amonge you in weaknes, and in feare, and in moch tremblinge: |
| 2:4 | and my worde and my preachinge was not with entysinge wordes of mans wyssdome, but in shewinge of the sprete and of power: |
| 2:5 | that youre faith shulde not stonde in the wyssdome of men, but in the power of God. |
| 2:6 | That we speake of, is wyssdome amonge the yt are perfecte: not ye wyssdome of this worlde, nether of the rulers of this worlde which go to naughte: |
| 2:7 | but we speake of the wyssdome of God, which is in secrete and lyeth hyd: which God ordeyned before the worlde vnto oure glorye: |
| 2:8 | which none of ye rulers of this worlde knewe. For yf they had knowne it, they had not crucified the LORDE of glorye, |
| 2:9 | but as it is wrytten: The eye hath not sene, and the eare hath not herde, nether hath it entred in to the hert of man that God hath prepared for them that loue him. |
| 2:10 | But God hath opened it vnto vs by his sprete. For the sprete searcheth out all thinges, yee euen the depenesses of the God heade. |
| 2:11 | For what ma knoweth what is in man, saue the sprete of ma which is in him? Euen so no man knoweth what is in God, saue ye sprete of God. |
| 2:12 | As for vs, we haue not receaued the sprete of this worlde, but the sprete which cometh of God, so that we ca knowe what is geue vs of God: |
| 2:13 | which we also speake, not with connynge wordes of mas wyssdome, but with the conynge wordes of the holy goost, and iudge spirituall matters spiritually. |
| 2:14 | Howbeit the naturall man perceaueth nothinge of ye sprete of God. It is foolishnes vnto him, and he can not perceaue it: for it must be spiritually discerned. |
| 2:15 | But he that is spirituall, discusseth all thinges, and he is iudged of no man. |
| 2:16 | For who hath knowne ye mynde of the LORDE? Or who shal enfourme him? But we haue the mynde of Christ. |
| 2:1 | And Y, britheren, whanne Y cam to you, cam not in the heiynesse of word, ethir of wisdom, tellynge to you the witnessyng of Crist. |
| 2:2 | For Y demede not me to kunne ony thing among you, but Crist Jhesu, and hym crucified. |
| 2:3 | And Y in sikenesse, and drede, and myche trembling, was among you; |
| 2:4 | and my word and my preching was not in suteli sturyng wordis of mannus wisdom, but in schewyng of spirit and of vertu; |
| 2:5 | that youre feith be not in the wisdom of men, but in the vertu of God. |
| 2:6 | For we speken wisdom among perfit men, but not wisdom of this world, nether of princes of this world, that ben distried; |
| 2:7 | but we speken the wisdom of God in mysterie, `which wisdom is hid; which wisdom God bifor ordeynede bifor worldis in to oure glorie, |
| 2:8 | which noon of the princes of this world knew; for if thei hadden knowe, thei schulden neuere haue crucified the Lord of glorie. |
| 2:9 | But as it is writun, That iye say not, ne eere herde, nether it stiede in to herte of man, what thingis God arayede to hem that louen hym; |
| 2:10 | but God schewide to vs bi his spirit. For whi the spirit serchith alle thingis, yhe, the depe thingis of God. |
| 2:11 | And who of men woot, what thingis ben of man, but the spirit of man that is in hym? So what thingis ben of God, no man knowith, but the spirit of God. |
| 2:12 | And we han not resseiued the spirit of this world, but the spirit that is of God, that we wite what thingis ben youun to vs of God. |
| 2:13 | Whiche thingis we speken also, not in wise wordis of mannus wisdom, but in the doctryn of the spirit, and maken a liknesse of spiritual thingis to goostli men. |
| 2:14 | For a beestli man perseyueth not tho thingis that ben of the spirit of God; for it is foli to hym, and he may not vndurstonde, for it is examyned goostli. |
| 2:15 | But a spiritual man demeth alle thingis, and he is demed of no man. |
| 2:16 | As it is writun, And who knew the wit of the Lord, or who tauyte hym? And we han the wit of Crist. |
