1 Corinthians - Chapter: 3

>
3:1And I coulde not speake (vnto you brethren) as vnto spretuall: but as vnto carnall, euen as vnto babes in Christ.
3:2I gaue you mylke to drynke, and not meate. For ye then were not stronge, nether are ye as yet. For ye are yet carnall.
3:3As longe verely as ther is amonge you enuyinge, & strife & sectes: are ye not carnall, & walke after the maner of men?
3:4For whyle one sayth: I holde of Paul, & another: I am of Apollo, are ye not carnall?
3:5What is Paul? What thynge is Apollo? Onely ministers are they by whom ye beleued, euen as the Lorde gaue euery man grace.
3:6I haue planted, Apollo watred: but God gaue the encreace.
3:7So then, nether is he that planteth eny thyng, nether he that watreth, but God that geueth the encreace.
3:8He that planteth and he that watreth, are one. Euery man yet shall receaue hys rewarde, accordynge to his laboure.
3:9For we are Goddes labourers, ye are Goddes husbandrye, ye are Goddes buyldyng:
3:10Accordynge to the grace of God geuen vnto me, as a wyse buylder haue I layde the foundacyon. And another bylt theron. But let euery man take hede, how he byldeth vpon.
3:11For another foundacyon can no man laye, then it that is layde, whych is Iesus Christ.
3:12If eny man buylde on this foundacyon, golde, syluer, precyous stones, tymber, haye or stoble:
3:13euery mannes worcke shall appeare. For the daye shall declare, whych shalbe shewed in fyre. And the fyre shall trye euery mannes worcke, what it is.
3:14If eny mannes worcke that he hath bylt vpon, byde, he shall receaue a rewarde.
3:15If eny mannes worcke burne, he shall suffre losse, but he shalbe safe hym selfe: neuertheles, yet as it were thorowe fyre.
3:16Knowe ye not, that ye are the temple of God, & how that the sprete of God dwelleth in you?
3:17If eny man defyle the temple of God, hym shall God destroye. For the temple of God, is holy, whych temple ye are.
3:18Let no man deceaue him selfe. If eny man seme wyse to hym selfe amonge you, let hym become a foole in this worlde, that he maye be wyse.
3:19For the wysdom of thys worlde is folyshnes with God. For it is wrytten: he compaseth the wyse in theyr craftynes.
3:20And agayne: God knoweth the thoughtes of the wyse, that they be vayne.
3:21Therfore, let no man reioyce in men. For all thynges are youres,
3:22whether it be Paul, ether Apollo, ether Cephas: whether it be the worlde, ether lyfe, ether deeth, whether they be present thynges, or thynges to come: all are youres:
3:23and ye are Chrystes, and Christ is Goddes.

3:1And Y, britheren, myyte not speke to you as to spiritual men, but as to fleischli men;
3:2as to litle children in Crist, Y yaf to you mylk drynke, not mete; for ye myyten not yit, nether ye moun now, for yit ye ben fleischli.
3:3For while strijf is among you, whether ye ben not fleischli, and ye gon aftir man?
3:4For whanne summe seith, Y am of Poul, another, But Y am of Apollo, whethir ye ben not men? What therfor is Apollo, and what Poul?
3:5Thei ben mynystris of hym, to whom ye han bileuyd; and to ech man as God hath youun.
3:6Y plauntide, Apollo moystide, but God yaf encreessyng.
3:7Therfor nether he that plauntith is ony thing, nethir he that moistith, but God that yiueth encreessyng.
3:8And he that plauntith, and he that moistith, ben oon; and ech schal take his owne mede, aftir his trauel.
3:9For we ben the helperis of God; ye ben the erthetiliyng of God, ye ben the bildyng of God.
3:10Aftir the grace `of God that is youun to me, as a wise maistir carpenter Y settide the foundement; and another bildith aboue. But ech man se, hou he bildith aboue.
3:11For no man may sette another foundement, outtakun that that is sett, which is Crist Jhesus.
3:12For if ony bildith ouer this foundement, gold, siluer, preciouse stoonys, stickis, hey, or stobil, euery mannus werk schal be open;
3:13for the dai of the Lord schal declare, for it schal be schewid in fier; the fier schal preue the werk of ech man, what maner werk it is.
3:14If the werk of ony man dwelle stille, which he bildide aboue, he schal resseyue mede.
3:15If ony mannus werk brenne, he schal suffre harm; but he schal be saaf, so netheles as bi fier.
3:16Witen ye not, that ye ben the temple of God, and the spirit of God dwellith in you?
3:17And if ony defoulith the temple of God, God schal leese hym; for the temple of God is hooli, which ye ben.
3:18No man disseyue hym silf. If ony man among you is seyn to be wiys in this world, be he maad a fool, that he be wijs.
3:19For the wisdom of this world is foli anentis God; for it is writun, Y schal catche wise men in her fel wisdom;
3:20and eft, The Lord knowith the thouytis of wise men, for tho ben veyn.
3:21Therfor no man haue glorie in men.
3:22For alle thingis ben youre, ethir Poul, ether Apollo, ether Cefas, ether the world, ether lijf, ether deth, ether thingis present, ethir thingis to comynge; for alle thingis ben youre,
3:23and ye ben of Crist, and Crist is of God.

3:1And I brethren, coulde not speake vnto you as vnto spirituall, but as vnto carnall, euen as vnto babes in Christ.
3:2I gaue you mylke to drynke, and not meate, for ye mighte not then awaye withall, nether maye ye yet euen now, in so moch as ye are yet fleshlye.
3:3For seynge there is enuyenge, stryfe, and discencion amonge you, are ye not fleshly, & walke after ye maner of men?
3:4For whan one sayeth: I holde of Paul: another, I holde of Apollo, are ye not the fleshlye?
3:5What is Paul? What is Apollo? Eue mynisters are they, by whom ye are come to the beleue, and the same, acordinge as the LORDE hath geuen vnto euery man.
3:6I haue planted, Apollo hath watred, but God hath geuen the increase.
3:7So then nether is he that planteth, eny thinge, nether he that watreth, but God which geueth the increase.
3:8As for him that planteth, and he that watreth, ye one is as the other: but yet shal euery one receaue his rewarde acordinge to his laboure.
3:9For we are Gods labourers, ye are Gods hussbandry, ye are Gods buyldinge.
3:10Acordinge to the grace of God which is geuen vnto me, as a wyse buylder haue I layed the foundacion, but another buyldeth theron. Yet let euery man take hede how he buyldeth theron.
3:11For other foudacion can noman laye, then that which is layed, the which is Iesus Christ.
3:12But yf eny man buylde vpon this foundacion, golde, syluer, precious stones, tymber, haye, stobble,
3:13euerymas worke shal be shewed. For the daye of the LORDE shal declare it, which shal be shewed with fyre: and the fyre shal trye euery mas worke what it is.
3:14Yf eny mans worke that he hath buylde theron, abyde, he shal receaue a rewarde:
3:15Yf eny mans worke burne, he shal suffre losse: but he shal be saued himselfe, neuertheles as thorow fyre.
3:16Knowe ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the sprete of God dwelleth in you?
3:17Yf eny man defyle the teple of God, him shal God destroye. For the temple of God is holy, which ye are.
3:18Let no ma disceaue himselfe. Yf eny man thinke himselfe wyse amoge you, let him become a foole in this worlde, that he maye be wyse.
3:19For the wyssdome off this worlde is foolishnes with God. For it is wrytten: He compaseth the wyse in their craftynesse.
3:20And agayne: The LORDE knoweth the thoughtes of the wyse, that they are vayne.
3:21Therfore let no man reioyse in men. For all is youres,
3:22whether it be Paul or Apollo, whether it be Cephas or the worlde, whether it be life or death, whether it be presente or for to come. All is youres,
3:23but ye are Christes, and Christ is Gods.
