2 Corinthians - Chapter: 3

>
3:1Do we begin again to recommend ourselves, except we need, as some, letters of recommendation unto you, or from you?
3:2our letter ye are, having been written in our hearts, known and read by all men,
3:3manifested that ye are a letter of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not in the tablets of stone, but in fleshy tablets of the heart,
3:4and such trust we have through the Christ toward God,
3:5not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything, as of ourselves, but our sufficiency `is' of God,
3:6who also made us sufficient `to be' ministrants of a new covenant, not of letter, but of spirit; for the letter doth kill, and the spirit doth make alive.
3:7and if the ministration of the death, in letters, engraved in stones, came in glory, so that the sons of Israel were not able to look stedfastly to the face of Moses, because of the glory of his face -- which was being made useless,
3:8how shall the ministration of the Spirit not be more in glory?
3:9for if the ministration of the condemnation `is' glory, much more doth the ministration of the righteousness abound in glory;
3:10for also even that which hath been glorious, hath not been glorious -- in this respect, because of the superior glory;
3:11for if that which is being made useless `is' through glory, much more that which is remaining `is' in glory.
3:12Having, then, such hope, we use much freedom of speech,
3:13and `are' not as Moses, who was putting a vail upon his own face, for the sons of Israel not stedfastly to look to the end of that which is being made useless,
3:14but their minds were hardened, for unto this day the same vail at the reading of the Old Covenant doth remain unwithdrawn -- which in Christ is being made useless --
3:15but till to-day, when Moses is read, a vail upon their heart doth lie,
3:16and whenever they may turn unto the Lord, the vail is taken away.
3:17And the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord `is', there `is' liberty;
3:18and we all, with unvailed face, the glory of the Lord beholding in a mirror, to the same image are being transformed, from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

3:1We begyn to prayse oure selves agayne. Nede we as some other of pistles of recommendacion vnto you? or letters of recomendacion from you?
3:2Ye are oure pistle written in oure hertes which is vnderstonde and reed of all men
3:3in that ye are knowen how that ye are the pistle of Christ ministred by vs and written not with ynke: but with the sprete of the livynge God not in tables of stone but in flesshly tables of ye herte.
3:4Suche trust have we thorow Christ to god ward
3:5not that we are sufficient of oure selves to thinke enythinge as it were of oure selves: but oure ablenes cometh of God
3:6which hath made vs able to minister the newe testamet not of the letter but of the sprete. For the letter kylleth but the sprete geveth lyfe.
3:7Yf the ministracion of deeth thorow the letters figured in stones was glorious so yt the chyldren of Israel coulde not beholde the face of Moses for the glory of his countenauce (which glory neverthelesse is done awaye)
3:8why shall not the ministracion of the sprete be moche more glorious?
3:9For if ye ministringe of condempnacio beglorious: moche more do the the ministracion of rightewesnes excede in glory.
3:10For no dout that which was there glorified is not once glorified in respecte of this excedynge glory.
3:11Then if that which is destroyed was glorious moche more shall that which remayneth be glorious.
3:12Seynge then that we have soche trust we vse gret boldnes
3:13and do not as Moses which put a vayle over his face that the children of Israel shuld not se for what purpose that served which is put awaye.
3:14But their myndes were blinded. For untill this daye remayneth the same coveringe vntake awaye in the olde testamet when they reade it which in Christ is put awaye.
3:15But even vnto this daye when Moses is redde ye vayle hangeth before their hertes.
3:16Neverthelesse when they tourne to ye Lorde the vayle shalbe taken awaye.
3:17The Lorde no dout is a sprete. And where the sprete of the Lorde is there is libertie.
3:18But we all beholde the glorye of the Lorde with his face open and are chaunged vnto the same similitude from glory to glory even of the sprite of the Lorde.

3:1Begynne we then agayne to prayse or selues? Or nede we (as some other) of pistles of commedacion vnto you or letters of commedacion from you?
3:2Ye are oure epistle wrytten in oure hertes: which is vnderstonde and red of all me,
3:3in that ye are knowne, how that ye are ye epistle of Christ, mynistred by vs, and wrytte, not with ynke, but with the sprete of the lyuynge God: not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the hert.
3:4Soch trust haue we thorow Christ to God warde,
3:5not that we are sufficient of oure selues to thynke eny thinge, as of oure selues, but oure ablenesse commeth of God,
3:6which hath made vs able, to be mynisters of the new Testament: not of the letter, but of the sprete. For the letter kylleth, but the sprete geueth life.
3:7But yf the mynistracion yt kylleth thorow the letter, and was figured in stones, was glorious, so that the childre of Israel mighte not beholde the face of Moses, for ye clearnesse of his countenauce, (which glory neuertheles is done awaye)
3:8how shal not ye mynistracion of ye sprete be moch more glorious?
3:9For yf the office that preacheth damnacion be glorious, moch more doth the office that preacheth righteousnes exceade in glory.
3:10For ye other parte that was glorified is nothinge glorified in respecte of this exceadinge glory.
3:11For yf that which is done awaye, be glorious, moch more shal yt which remayneth, be glorious.
3:12Seynge then that we haue soch trust, we vse greate boldnesse,
3:13and do not as Moses, which put a vayle before his face, so that ye children of Israel mighte not se the ende of it, that is done awaye.
3:14But their myndes are blynded. For vnto this daye remayneth the same coueringe vntake awaye in the olde Testament, whan they rede it, which in Christ is put awaye.
3:15But euen vnto this daye whan moses is red, the vayle hangeth before their hertes:
3:16Neuertheles wha they turne to the LORDE, the vayle shalbe taken awaye.
3:17For the LORDE is a sprete: & where the sprete of the LORDE is, there is libertye.
3:18But now the glory of ye LORDE apeareth in vs all with open face, and we are chaunged into the same ymage, from one clearnes to another, eue as of the sprete of the LORDE.
