| 4:1 | Because of this, having this ministration, according as we did receive kindness, we do not faint, |
| 4:2 | but did renounce for ourselves the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor deceitfully using the word of God, but by the manifestation of the truth recommending ourselves unto every conscience of men, before God; |
| 4:3 | and if also our good news is vailed, in those perishing it is vailed, |
| 4:4 | in whom the god of this age did blind the minds of the unbelieving, that there doth not shine forth to them the enlightening of the good news of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God; |
| 4:5 | for not ourselves do we preach, but Christ Jesus -- Lord, and ourselves your servants because of Jesus; |
| 4:6 | because `it is' God who said, Out of darkness light `is' to shine, who did shine in our hearts, for the enlightening of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. |
| 4:7 | And we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us; |
| 4:8 | on every side being in tribulation, but not straitened; perplexed, but not in despair; |
| 4:9 | persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; |
| 4:10 | at all times the dying of the Lord Jesus bearing about in the body, that the life also of Jesus in our body may be manifested, |
| 4:11 | for always are we who are living delivered up to death because of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our dying flesh, |
| 4:12 | so that, the death indeed in us doth work, and the life in you. |
| 4:13 | And having the same spirit of the faith, according to that which hath been written, `I believed, therefore I did speak;' we also do believe, therefore also do we speak; |
| 4:14 | knowing that He who did raise up the Lord Jesus, us also through Jesus shall raise up, and shall present with you, |
| 4:15 | for the all things `are' because of you, that the grace having been multiplied, because of the thanksgiving of the more, may abound to the glory of God; |
| 4:16 | wherefore, we faint not, but if also our outward man doth decay, yet the inward is renewed day by day; |
| 4:17 | for the momentary light matter of our tribulation, more and more exceedingly an age-during weight of glory doth work out for us -- |
| 4:18 | we not looking to the things seen, but to the things not seen; for the things seen `are' temporary, but the things not seen `are' age-during. |
| 4:1 | Therfore seinge that we have soche an office eve as mercy is come on vs we faynte not: |
| 4:2 | but have cast from vs the clokes of vnhonestie and walke not in craftines nether corrupte we the worde of God: but walke in open trueth and reporte oure selves to every mannes conscience in the sight of God. |
| 4:3 | Yf oure Gospell be yet hyd it is hid amoge them that are lost |
| 4:4 | in whom ye god of this worlde hath blynded the myndes of them which beleve not lest the light of ye glorious gospell of Christ which is the ymage of god shuld shyne vnto them. |
| 4:5 | For we preache not oure selves but Christ Iesus to be the Lorde and oure selves youre servautes for Iesus sake. |
| 4:6 | For it is God that commauded the light to shyne out of darcknes which hath shyned in oure hertes for to geve the light of the knowledge of the glorie of God in the face of Iesus Christ. |
| 4:7 | But we have this treasure in erthe vessels that ye excellent power of it myght appere to be of God and not of vs. |
| 4:8 | We are troubled on every side yet are we not with out shyft. We are in povertie: but not vtterly without somwhat. |
| 4:9 | We are persecuted: but are not forsake. We are cast doune: neverthelesse we perisshe not. |
| 4:10 | And we all wayes beare in oure bodyes the dyinge of the Lorde Iesus that the lyfe of Iesu myght appere in oure bodyes. |
| 4:11 | For we which live are alwayes delyvered vnto deeth for Iesus sake yt the lyfe also of Iesu myght appere in oure mortall flesshe. |
| 4:12 | So then deeth worketh in vs and lyfe in you. |
| 4:13 | Seynge then yt we have ye same sprete of fayth accordinge as it is writte: I beleved and therfore have I spoken. We also beleve and therfore speake. |
| 4:14 | For we knowe that he which raysed vp the Lorde Iesus shall rayse vp vs also by the meanes of Iesus and shall seet vs with you. |
| 4:15 | For all thinges do I for youre sakes that the plenteous grace by thankes geve of many maye redounde to the prayse of god. |
| 4:16 | Wherfore we are not weried but though oure vttward man perisshe yet the inwarde man is renewed daye by daye. |
| 4:17 | For oure excedinge tribulacion which is momentany and light prepareth an excedinge and an eternall wayght of glorye |
| 4:18 | vnto vs whill we loke not on the thynges which are sene but on ye thynges which are not sene. For thinges which are sene are temporall: but thynges which are not sene are eternall |
| 4:1 | Therfore seynge we haue soch an office (euen as mercy is come vpon vs) we faynte not, |
| 4:2 | but cast from vs the clokes of vnhonestye, and walke not in craftines: nether corruppe we the worde of God but open the trueth, and reporte oure selues to euery mans conscyence in the sighte of God. |
| 4:3 | Yf oure Gospell be yet hyd, it is hyd in them that are lost: |
| 4:4 | amonge whom the God of this worlde hath blynded ye myndes of them which beleue not, that ye lighte of the Gospell of the glory of Christ ( which is the ymage of God) shulde not shyne vnto them. |
| 4:5 | For we preach not or selues, but Iesus Christ to be the LORDE, and oure selues youre seruauntes for Iesus sake. |
| 4:6 | For God that comaunded the light to shyne out of darcknesse, hath geuen a cleare shyne in oure hertes, yt by vs ye light of ye knowlege of the glory of God mighte come forth, in the face of Iesus Christ. |
| 4:7 | But this treasure haue we in earthen vessels, that ye power which excelleth might be of God, and not of vs. |
| 4:8 | We are troubled on euery syde, yet are we not without shift. We are in pouertie, but not vtterly without somwhat. |
| 4:9 | We are persecuted, but we are not forsaken. We are oppressed, neuertheles we perish not. |
| 4:10 | We allwayes beare aboute in oure body the dyenge of the LORDE Iesus yt the life also of the LORDE Iesus might appeare in oure body. |
| 4:11 | For we which lyue, are alwayes delyuered vnto death for Iesus sake, that the life also of Iesus might appeare in oure mortall flesh. |
| 4:12 | Therfore is death now mightie in vs, but life in you. |
| 4:13 | But seynge that we haue the same sprete of faith (acordinge as it is wrytten: I beleued, and therfore haue I spoke.) we also beleue, & therfore we speake, |
| 4:14 | for we knowe that he, which raysed vp ye LORDE Iesus, shal rayse vs vp also by ye meanes of Iesus, and shal set vs with you. |
| 4:15 | For all thinges do I for youre sakes, that the pleteous grace by the thakesgeuynge of many, maye redounde to the prayse of God. |
| 4:16 | Therfore are we not weery, but though or outwarde man be corrupte, yet the inwarde is renewed daye by daye. |
| 4:17 | For oure trouble, which is but temporall and lighte, worketh an exceadinge and an eternall weighte of glorye |
| 4:18 | vnto vs, which loke not on the thinges that are sene, but on them which are not sene. For ye thinges which are sene, are temporall: but the thinges that are not sene, are eternall. |
