| 5:1 | Stand fast therefore in the libertie wherewith Christ hath made vs free, and bee not intangled againe with the yoke of bondage. |
| 5:2 | Beholde, I Paul say vnto you that if ye be circumcised, Christ shal profite you nothing. |
| 5:3 | For I testifie againe to euery man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to doe the whole Law. |
| 5:4 | Christ is become of no effect vnto you, whosoeuer of you are iustified by the Law: ye are fallen from grace. |
| 5:5 | For we through the spirit waite for the hope of righteousnesse by faith. |
| 5:6 | For in Iesus Christ, neither circumcision auaileth any thing, nor vncircumcision, but faith which worketh by loue. |
| 5:7 | Ye did run well; who did hinder you, that ye should not obey the trueth? |
| 5:8 | This perswasion commeth not of him that calleth you. |
| 5:9 | A little leauen leaueneth the whole lumpe. |
| 5:10 | I haue confidence in you through the Lord, that you will be none otherwise minded; but he that troubleth you, shall beare his iudgement, whosoeuer hee be. |
| 5:11 | And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why doe I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the crosse ceased. |
| 5:12 | I would they were euen cut off which trouble you. |
| 5:13 | For brethren, ye haue beene called vnto liberty, onely vse not libertie for an occasion to the flesh, but by loue serue one another. |
| 5:14 | For all the Law is fulfilled in one word, euen in this: Thou shalt loue thy neighbour as thy selfe. |
| 5:15 | But if yee bite and deuoure one another, take heed ye be not consumed one of another. |
| 5:16 | This I say then, Walke in the spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. |
| 5:17 | For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that yee cannot doe the things that yee would. |
| 5:18 | But if yee be lead of the spirit, yee are not vnder the Law. |
| 5:19 | Nowe the workes of the flesh are manifest, which are these, adulterie, fornication, vncleannesse, lasciuiousnesse, |
| 5:20 | Idolatrie, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, |
| 5:21 | Enuyings, murthers, drunkennesse, reuellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I haue also tolde you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherite the kingdome of God. |
| 5:22 | But the fruit of the spirit is loue, ioy, peace, long suffering, gentlenesse, goodnesse, faith, |
| 5:23 | Meekenesse, temperance: against such there is no law. |
| 5:24 | And they that are Christs, haue crucified the flesh with the affections and lustes. |
| 5:25 | If we liue in the Spirit, let vs also walke in the Spirit. |
| 5:26 | Let vs not be desirous of vaine glory, prouoking one another, enuying one another. |

| 5:7 | Ye ranne well, who was a let vnto you, that ye shulde not obeye the trueth? |
| 5:8 | Soch councell is not of him that hath called you. |
| 5:9 | A litle leuen sowreth the whole lompe of dowe. |
| 5:10 | I haue trust towarde you in ye LORDE, that ye wylbe none otherwyse mynded. But he that troubleth you, shal beare his iudgment, what so euer he be. |
| 5:11 | Brethren yf I yet preach circumcision, why do I suffre persecucion? then had the slaunder off the crosse ceassed. |
| 5:12 | Wolde God they were roted out fro amoge you, which trouble you. |
| 5:13 | But brethre, ye are called vnto liberty, onely let not youre libertie be an occasion vnto the flesh, but by loue serue one another. |
| 5:14 | For all the lawe is fulfylled in one worde, namely in this: loue thy neghboure as thy selfe. |
| 5:15 | But yf ye byte and deuoure one another, take hede, that ye be not consumed one of another. |
| 5:16 | I saye: Walke in the sprete, and so shal ye not fulfill the lustes off the flesshe. |
| 5:17 | For the flesh lusteth agaynst the sprete, and the sprete agaynst the flesh. These are contrary one to the other, so that ye can not do that which ye wolde: |
| 5:18 | But and yf ye be led of the sprete, then are ye not vnder the lawe. |
| 5:19 | The dedes of ye flesh are manifest, which are these: Aduoutrye, whordome, vnclenes, wantanes, |
| 5:20 | Idolatrye, witchcraft, hatred, variaunce, zele, wrath, stryfe, sedicion, sectes, |
| 5:21 | envyenge, murthur, dronkennes, glotony, and soch like: of the which I tell you before, as I haue tolde you in tyme past, that they which commytte soch, shal not inheret the kyngdome of God. |
| 5:22 | But the frute of the sprete, is loue, ioye, peace, longe sufferinge, getlenes, goodnesse, faithfulnes, |
| 5:23 | mekenesse, teperaunce, Agaynst soch is not ye lawe: |
| 5:24 | But they that are Christes, haue crucified their flesh, with the lustes and desyres. |
| 5:25 | Yf we lyue in the sprete, let vs walke also in the sprete. |
| 5:26 | Let vs not be vayne glorious, prouokinge one another, and envyenge another. |
| 5:1 | Stonde ye therfor, and nyl ye eftsoones be holdun in the yok of seruage. |
| 5:2 | Lo! Y Poul seie to you, that if ye ben circumcidid, Crist schal no thing profite to you. |
| 5:3 | And Y witnesse eftsoones to ech man that circumcidith hym silf, that he is dettour of al the lawe to be don. |
| 5:4 | And ye ben voidid awei fro Crist, and ye that be iustified in the lawe, ye han fallen awei fro grace. |
| 5:5 | For we thoruy the spirit of bileue abiden the hope of riytfulnesse. |
| 5:6 | For in Jhesu Crist nether circumcisioun is ony thing worth, nether prepucie, but the bileue that worchith bi charite. |
| 5:7 | Ye runnen wel; who lettide you that ye obeyede not to treuthe? |
| 5:8 | Consente ye to no man; for this counsel ys not of hym that hath clepid you. |
| 5:9 | A litil souredowy apeirith al the gobet. |
| 5:10 | I trust on you in oure Lord, that ye schulden vndurstonde noon other thing. And who that disturblith you, schal bere dom, who euere he be. |
| 5:11 | And, britheren, if Y preche yit circumcisioun, what suffre Y yit persecucioun? thanne the sclaundre of the crosse is auoidid. |
| 5:12 | Y wolde that thei weren cut awei, that disturblen you. |
| 5:13 | For, britheren, ye ben clepid in to fredom; oneli yyue ye not fredom in to occasioun of fleisch, but bi charite of spirit serue ye togidere. |
| 5:14 | For euery lawe is fulfillid in o word, Thou schalt loue thi neiybore as thi silf. |
| 5:15 | And if ye bite, and ete ech othere, se ye, lest ye be wastid ech fro othere. |
| 5:16 | And Y seie you in Crist, walke ye in spirit, and ye schulen not performe the desiris of the fleisch. |
| 5:17 | For the fleisch coueitith ayens the spirit, and the spirit ayen the fleisch; for these ben aduersaries togidere, that ye don not alle thingis that ye wolen. |
| 5:18 | That if ye be led bi spirit, ye ben not vnder the lawe. |
| 5:19 | And werkis of the fleisch ben opyn, whiche ben fornicacioun, vnclennes, vnchastite, letcherie, seruice of false goddis, |
| 5:20 | witchecraftis, enmytees, striuyngis, indignaciouns, wraththis, chidingis, discenciouns, sectis, enuyes, |
| 5:21 | manslauytris, dronkennessis, vnmesurable etyngis, and thingis lijk to these, whiche Y seie to you, as Y haue told to you `to fore, for thei that doon suche thingis, schulen not haue the kyngdom of God. |
| 5:22 | But the fruyt of the spirit is charite, ioye, pees, pacience, long abidyng, |
| 5:23 | benygnyte, goodnesse, myldenesse, feith, temperaunce, contynence, chastite; ayen suche thingis is no lawe. |
| 5:24 | And they that ben of Crist, han crucified her fleisch with vices and coueytyngis. |
| 5:25 | If we lyuen bi spirit, walke we bi spirit; |
| 5:26 | we not made coueytouse of veyn glorie, stirynge ech othere to wraththe, or hauynge enuye ech to othere. |
