1:1Paul an Apostle of Iesus Christ, by the wyll of God. To the saynctes which are at Ephesus, and to them which beleue on Iesus Christ
1:2Grace be with you, & peace from God our father, and from the Lorde Iesus Christ.
1:3Blessed be God the father of oure Lorde Iesus Christ, which hath blessed vs with all maner of spirituall blessyng in heuenly thinges by Christ
1:4accordinge as he had chosen vs in hym, before the foundacions of the worlde were layde, that we shulde be holy, and without blame before hym, thorowe loue.
1:5Which ordeyned vs before thorowe Iesus Christ to be heyres vnto hym selfe, accordinge to the good pleasure of hys wyll,
1:6to the prayse of the glory of hys grace, wherwith he hath made vs accepted thorowe the beloued.
1:7By whome we haue redempcyon thorowe his bloude, euen the forgeuenes of synnes, accordinge to the ryches of grace:
1:8wherof he hath minystred vnto vs aboundantlye in all wisdome and prudence.
1:9And hath opened vnto vs the mystery of hys wyll, accordynge to hys good pleasure, which he had purposed in hym selfe,
1:10to haue it declared whan the tyme was full come, that he myght set vp all thynges perfectly by Christ (both the thynges which are in heuen, and the thynges which are in earth)
1:11euen by hym by whom we are made heyres, and were therto predestinate accordynge to the purpose of hym by whose power all thynges are wrought accordinge to the purpose of hys awne wyll:
1:12that we (which before beleued in Christ) shuld be vnto the prayse of hys glory.
1:13In whom also we beleue, for asmoche as we haue hearde the worde of trueth, euen the Gospell of youre saluacyon: wherin, whan ye had beleued ye were sealed with the holy sprete of promes
1:14which is the ernest of oure inheritaunce, for the recouerynge of the purchassed possessyon, vnto the prayse of hys glory.
1:15Wherfore I also (after that I hearde of the fayth, which ye haue in the Lorde Iesu, & loue vnto all the saynctes)
1:16cease not to geue thankes for you, makynge mencyon of you in my prayers:
1:17that the God of oure Lorde Iesus Chryst, the father of glory, maye geue vnto you the sprete of wysdome and reuelacyon, by the knowledge of him selfe,
1:18and lyghten the eyes of youre myndes, that ye maye knowe what the hope is, where vnto he hath called you, and howe riche the glorye is of his inheritaunce vpon the saynctes,
1:19and what is the excedinge greatnes of his power to vs warde, which beleue accordynge to the workynge of that his mighty power,
1:20which he wrought in Christ, when he raysed him from the deed, and set him on his ryght hande in heauenly thinges,
1:21aboue all rule, & power, & myght and dominion, and aboue euery name that is named, not in this worlde onely, but also in the worlde to come:
1:22and hath put all thynges vnder his fete, and hath made him aboue all thinges the heed of the congregacyon,
1:23which is his body and the fulnes of him, that fylleth all in all.

1:2grace be to you and pees of God, oure fader, and oure Lord Jhesu Crist.
1:3Blessid be God and the fadir of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, that hath blessid vs in al spiritual blessing in heuenli thingis in Crist,
1:4as he hath chosun vs in hym silf bifor the makyng of the world, that we weren hooli, and with out wem in his siyt, in charite.
1:5Which hath bifor ordeyned vs in to adopcioun of sones bi Jhesu Crist in to hym, bi the purpos of his wille,
1:6in to the heriyng of the glorie of his grace;
1:7in which he hath glorified vs in his dereworthe sone. In whom we han redempcioun bi his blood, foryyuenesse of synnes, aftir the ritchessis of his grace,
1:8that aboundide greetli in vs in al wisdom and prudence,
1:9to make knowun to vs the sacrament of his wille, bi the good plesaunce of hym; the which sacrament he purposide in
1:10hym in the dispensacioun of plente of tymes to enstore alle thingis in Crist, whiche ben in heuenes, and whiche ben in erthe, in hym.
1:11In whom we ben clepid bi sort, bifor ordeyned bi the purpos of hym that worchith alle thingis bi the counsel of his wille;
1:12that we be in to the heriyng of his glorie, we that han hopid bifor in Crist.
1:13In whom also ye weren clepid, whanne ye herden the word of treuthe, the gospel of youre heelthe, in whom ye bileuynge ben merkid with the Hooli Goost of biheest, which is the ernes of oure eritage,
1:14in to the redempcioun of purchasyng, in to heriyng of his glorie.
1:15Therfor and Y herynge youre feith, that is in Crist Jhesu, and the loue in to alle seyntis,
1:16ceesse not to do thankyngis for you, makynge mynde of you in my preieris;
1:17that God of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, the fadir of glorie, yyue to you the spirit of wisdom and of reuelacioun, in to the knowyng of hym;
1:18and the iyen of youre herte liytned, that ye wite, which is the hope of his clepyng, and whiche ben the richessis of the glorie of his eritage in seyntis;
1:19and whych is the excellent greetnesse of his vertu in to vs that han bileuyd, bi the worchyng of the myyt of his vertu,
1:20which he wrouyte in Crist, reisynge hym fro deth, and settynge him on his riyt half in heuenli thingis,
1:21aboue ech principat, and potestat, and vertu, and domynacioun, and aboue ech name that is named, not oneli in this world, but also in the world to comynge;
1:22and made alle thingis suget vndur hise feet, and yaf hym to be heed ouer al the chirche,
1:23that is the bodi of hym, and the plente of hym, which is alle thingis in alle thingis fulfillid.

1:3Blessed be God the father of oure LORDE Iesus Christ, which hath blessed vs wt all maner of spirituall blessynge in heauenly thynges by Christ
1:4acordinge as he had chosen vs by him, or euer the foundacion of the worlde was layed, that we shulde be holy and without blame before him in loue,
1:5& ordeyned vs before, to receaue vs as children thorow Iesus Christ, acordinge to the pleasure of his will,
1:6vnto the prayse of the glory of his grace, wherby he hath made vs accepted in the Beloued,
1:7in whom we haue redempcion thorow his bloude (namely) the forgeuenes of synnes, acordynge to ye riches of his grace,
1:8which he hath shed vpon vs abundauntly in all wyssdome and prudece:
1:9and hath opened vnto vs the mystery of his wil acordinge to his pleasure, which he had purposed in himselfe,
1:10yt it shulde be preached wha the tyme was full come, that all thinges shulde be gathered together by Christ, both the thinges which are in heauen, and also the thinges that are vpon earth,
1:11euen by him, by whom also we are come to the inheritaunce we that were therto predestinate before, acordinge to ye purpose of him, which worketh all thinges after ye councell of his owne wyll,
1:12that we mighte be to the prayse of his glory, euen we that before beleued on Christ,
1:13on who also ye beleued, after that ye herde the worde of trueth, namely ye Gospell of youre saluacion: wherin whan ye beleued, ye were sealed with the holy sprete of promes,
1:14which is the ernest of oure inheritaunce to oure redempcion, that we mighte be his owne to the prayse off his glory.
1:15Wherfore I also, (in so moch as I haue herde of the faith which ye haue in ye LORDE Iesu, and of youre loue vnto all ye sayntes)
1:16ceasse not to geue thankes for you, and make mencion of you in my prayers,
1:17that ye God of oure LORDE Iesus Christ, the father of glory maye geue vnto you the sprete of wyssdome, and open vnto you the knowlege of himselfe,
1:18and lighten the eyes of youre vnderstondinge, that ye maye knowe what is the hope of youre callynge, and what the riches of his glorious enheritaunce is vpon the sayntes,
1:19& what is the exceadinge greatnesse of his power towarde vs, which beleue acordinge to ye workynge of his mightie power,
1:20which he wroughte in Christ, whan he raysed him vp fro the deed, and set him on his righte hade i heauely thinges,
1:21aboue all rule, power, and mighte, and dominacio, and aboue all that maye be named, not onely in this worlde, but also in ye worlde to come.
1:22And hath put all thinges vnder his fete, and hath made him aboue all thinges the heade of the cogregacion,
1:23which is his body, and the fulnesse of him that fylleth all in all.
