| 2:1 | And you hath he quickened where as ye were deed in treaspasses and synnes, |
| 2:2 | in the which in tyme passed ye walked, accordyng to the course of this worlde, euen after the gouerner that ruleth in the ayer, the sprete that nowe worketh in the chyldren of vnbelefe |
| 2:3 | amonge whom we all had oure conuersacyon also in tyme past, in the lustes of oure flesshe, and fulfylled the wyll of the flesshe and of the mynde: and were by nature the chyldren of wrath, euen as well as other. |
| 2:4 | But God which is riche in mercy (for his greate loue wher with he loued vs, |
| 2:5 | euen when we were deed by synnes) quyckened vs together in Christ (by grace are ye saued) |
| 2:6 | and raysed vs vp together with hym and made vs sytte together with him amonge them of heauen in Christ Iesu. |
| 2:7 | That in tymes to come he myght shewe the exceadynge, ryches of hys grace, in kyndnes to vs warde thorowe Chryst Iesu. |
| 2:8 | For by grace are ye made safe thorow fayth, and that not of youre selues. It is the gyfte of God, |
| 2:9 | and commeth not of workes, lest eny man shulde boast him selfe |
| 2:10 | For we are his worckmanshyppe, created in Chryst Iesu vnto good workes, whiche God ordeyned, that we shulde walke in them. |
| 2:11 | Wherfore, remember that ye beynge in tyme passed gentyls in the flesshe, were called vncircumcisyon from that whych is called circumcisyon in the flesshe, which circumcision is made by handes: |
| 2:12 | remember (I saye) that at that tyme ye were without Chryst, beynge aliauntes from the comen welth of Israel, and straungers from the testamentes of the promes hauynge no hope, and beynge with out God in this worlde. |
| 2:13 | But nowe by the meanes of Christ Iesu, ye which somtyme were farre of, are made nye by the bloude of Chryst. |
| 2:14 | For he is oure peace, which hath made of both one, and hath broken downe the wall that was a stoppe betwene vs, |
| 2:15 | and hath also put awaye thorowe his flesshe, the cause of hatred, euen the lawe of commaundementes contayned in the lawe wrytten, for to make of twayne one newe man in hym selfe, so makynge peace, |
| 2:16 | and to reconcyle both vnto God in one body thorowe the crosse, & slewe hatred therby: |
| 2:17 | and came, and preached peace to you which were a farre of, and to them that were nye. |
| 2:18 | For thorowe hym we both haue an intraunce, in one sprete vnto the father. |
| 2:19 | Now therfore, ye are not straungers, and foreyners: but citesyns with the sayntes & of the housholde of God: |
| 2:20 | and are buylt vpon the foundacyon of the Apostles and Prophetes, Iesus Chryst him selfe beynge the heed corner stone, |
| 2:21 | in whom what buyldynge soeuer is coupled together, it groweth vnto an holy temple in the Lorde, |
| 2:22 | in whom ye also are buylt together, to be an habitacion of God thorowe the ghost. |
| 2:1 | And whanne ye weren deed in youre giltis and synnes, |
| 2:2 | in which ye wandriden sum tyme aftir the cours of this world, aftir the prince of the power of this eir, of the spirit that worchith now in to the sones of vnbileue; |
| 2:3 | in which also we `alle lyueden sum tyme in the desiris of oure fleisch, doynge the willis of the fleisch and of thouytis, and we weren bi kynde the sones of wraththe, as othere men; |
| 2:4 | but God, that is riche in merci, for his ful myche charite in which he louyde vs, |
| 2:5 | yhe, whanne we weren deed in synnes, quikenede vs togidere in Crist, bi whos grace ye ben sauyd, and ayen reiside togidere, |
| 2:6 | and made togidere to sitte in heuenli thingis in Crist Jhesu; |
| 2:7 | that he schulde schewe in the worldis aboue comynge the plenteuouse ritchessis of his grace in goodnesse on vs in Crist Jhesu. |
| 2:8 | For bi grace ye ben sauyd bi feith, and this not of you; for it is the yifte of God, |
| 2:9 | not of werkis, that no man haue glorie. |
| 2:10 | For we ben the makyng of hym, maad of nouyt in Crist Jhesu, in good werkis, whiche God hath ordeyned, that we go in tho werkis. |
| 2:11 | For which thing be ye myndeful, that sumtyme ye weren hethene in fleisch, which weren seid prepucie, fro that that is seid circumcisioun maad bi hond in fleisch; |
| 2:12 | and ye weren in that time with out Crist, alienyd fro the lyuyng of Israel, and gestis of testamentis, not hauynge hope of biheest, and with outen God in this world. |
| 2:13 | But now in Crist Jhesu ye that weren sum tyme fer, ben maad nyy in the blood of Crist. |
| 2:14 | For he is oure pees, that made bothe oon, and vnbyndynge the myddil wal of a wal with out morter, enmytees in his fleisch; |
| 2:15 | and auoidide the lawe of maundementis bi domes, that he make twei in hym silf in to a newe man, |
| 2:16 | makynge pees, to recounsele bothe in o bodi to God bi the cros, sleynge the enemytees in hym silf. |
| 2:17 | And he comynge prechide pees to you that weren fer, and pees to hem that weren niy; |

| 2:19 | Therfor now ye ben not gestis and straungeris, but ye ben citeseyns of seyntis, and houshold meine of God; |
| 2:20 | aboue bildid on the foundement of apostlis and of profetis, vpon that hiyeste corner stoon, Crist Jhesu; |
| 2:21 | in whom ech bildyng maad waxith in to an hooli temple in the Lord. |
| 2:22 | In whom also `be ye bildid togidere in to the habitacle of God, in the Hooli Goost. |
| 2:1 | And quyckened you also, whan ye were deed thorow trespaces and synnes, |
| 2:2 | in the which in tyme past ye walked, acordinge to the course off this worlde, and after the prynce that ruleth in the ayre namely, after ye sprete, which now worketh in the children of vnbeleue, |
| 2:3 | amonge whom we also had oure conuersacion in tyme past in the lustes of oure flesh, and dyd the wyll of the flesh and of the mynde, and were naturally the children of wrath, euen as well as other. |
| 2:4 | But God which is riche in mercy thorow his greate loue wherwith he loued vs |
| 2:5 | eue wha we were deed in synnes, hath quyckened vs in Christ ( for by grace are ye saued) |
| 2:6 | and hath raysed vs vp with him, and set vs with him in heauely thinges thorow Christ Iesus, |
| 2:7 | yt in tymes to come he mighte shewe the exceadinge riches of his grace, in kyndnesse to vs warde in Christ Iesu. |
| 2:8 | For by grace are ye saued thorow faith, and that not of youre selues, For it is ye gifte of God, |
| 2:9 | not of workes, lest eny ma shulde boast him selfe. |
| 2:10 | For we are his workmanshippe, created in Christ Iesu vnto good workes, to ye which God ordeyned vs before, that we shulde walke in them. |
| 2:11 | Wherfore remebre, that ye (which afore tyme were Gentyles after the flesh, and were called vn circumcision, of the that are called circumcision after the flesh, which circumcision is made with the hande) |
| 2:12 | that ye at the same tyme were without Christ, and reputed aleauntes from the comen welth of Israel, and were straungers from the Testamentes of promes, therfore had ye no hope, and were without God in this worlde. |
| 2:13 | But now ye that be in Christ Iesu, and afore tyme were farre of, are now made nye by the bloude of Christ. |
| 2:14 | For he is or peace, which of both hath made one, and hath broken downe the wall, that was a stoppe betwene vs, |
| 2:15 | and hath also thorow his flesh put awaye the cause off hatred (namely the lawe of the commaundemetes contayned in the lawe wrytten) that of twayne he mighte create one new man in him selfe, and make peace, |
| 2:16 | and to reconcyle both vnto God in one body thorow the crosse, and so he slewe ye hatred thorow his owne selfe, |
| 2:17 | and came and preached peace in the Gospell, vnto you which were afarre of, and to the that were nye. |
| 2:18 | For thorow him we both haue intraunce in one sprete vnto the father. |
