Ephesians - Chapter: 6

>
6:1Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
6:2Honour thy father and mother, (which is the first commandement with promise,)
6:3That it may bee well with thee, and thou maiest liue long on the earth.
6:4And yee fathers, prouoke not your children to wrath: but bring them vp in the nourture and admonition of the Lord.
6:5Seruants, bee obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with feare and trembling, in singlenesse of your heart, as vnto Christ:
6:6Not with eye seruice as men pleasers, but as the seruants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart:
6:7With good will doing seruice, as to the Lord, and not to men,
6:8Knowing that whatsoeuer good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receiue of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
6:9And ye masters, do the same things vnto them, forbearing threatning: knowing that your master also is in heauen, neither is there respect of persons with him.
6:10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, & in the power of his might.
6:11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the deuill.
6:12For wee wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darknes of this world, against spirituall wickednes in high places.
6:13Wherfore take vnto you the whole armour of God, that yee may be able to withstand in the euill day, and hauing done all, to stand.
6:14Stand therefore, hauing your loynes girt about with trueth, and hauing on the breast-plate of righteousnesse:
6:15And your feete shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.
6:16Aboue all, taking the shielde of Faith, wherewith yee shall bee able to quench all the fierie dartes of the wicked.
6:17And take the helmet of saluation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
6:18Praying alwayes with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseuerance, and supplication for all Saints,
6:19And for mee, that vtterance may be giuen vnto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make knowen the mysterie of the Gospel:
6:20For which I am an ambassador in bonds, that therein I may speake boldly, as I ought to speake.
6:21But that yee also may know my affaires, and how I doe, Tychicus a beloued brother, and faithfull minister in the Lord, shall make knowen to you all things.
6:22Whom I haue sent vnto you for the same purpose, that yee might know our affaires, and that he might comfort your hearts.
6:23Peace be to the brethren, and loue, with faith from God the Father, and the Lord Iesus Christ.
6:24Grace be with all them that loue our Lord Iesus Christ in sinceritie.Written from Rome vnto the Ephesians by Tychicus.

6:1Ye children, obey youre elders in the LORDE, for that is righte.
6:2Honoure thy father and thy mother ( That is the first commaundement, that hath eny promes)
6:3that thou mayest prospere, and lyue longe vpon earth.
6:4And ye fathers, prouoke not youre children vnto wrath, but brynge the vp in the nourtoure and informacion of the LORDE.
6:5Ye seruauntes, obey youre bodely masters, with feare and tremblynge, in synglenes of youre hert, euen as vnto Christ,
6:6not with seruyce onely in the eye sighte, as men pleasers: but as the seruauntes off Christ, doynge the wyll off God from the hert
6:7with good wyll. Thynke that ye serue the LORDE and not me:
6:8and be sure, that what good soeuer a man doth, he shal reaceaue it agayne of the LORDE, whether he be bonde or fre.
6:9And ye masters, do euen the same vnto the, puttynge awaye threatenynges, and knowe that euen youre master also is in heauen, nether is there eny respecte of personnes with him.
6:10Fynally my brethren, be stronge in the LORDE, and in the power of his mighte:
6:11put on the armor of God, that ye maye stonde stedfast agaynst the craftie assautes off the deuell.
6:12For we wrestle not agaynst flesh and bloude, but agaynst rule, agaynst power namely, agaynst the rulers of the worlde, of the darknesse of this worlde, agaynst ye spretes of wickednes vnder the heauen.
6:13For this cause take ye the armoure of God, yt ye maye be able to resiste in the euell daye, and stonde perfecte in all thinges.
6:14Stonde therfore, and youre loynes gyrde aboute with the trueth, hauynge on the brest plate of righteousnes,
6:15and shod vpo yor fete with the gospell of peace, that ye maye be prepared:
6:16Aboue all thinges take holde of the shylde of faith, wherwith ye maye quenche all the fyrie dartes of the wicked.
6:17And take the helmet of saluacion, & the swerde of the sprete, which is the worde of God.
6:18And praye allwayes with all maner of prayer and supplicacion in the sprete, and watch there vnto with all instaunce and supplicacion for all sayntes
6:19and for me, that the worde maye be geuen me, that I maye open my mouth boldly, to vtter the secretes of the Gospell,
6:20wherof I am a messaunger in bondes, that I maye speake therin frely, as it becommeth me to speake.
6:21But that ye maye also knowe, what case I am in, and what I do, Tichicus my deare brother and faithfull mynister in the LORDE, shal shewe you all:
6:22whom I haue sent vnto you for the same cause, that ye mighte knowe what case I stonde in, and that he mighte comforte youre hertes.
6:23Peace be vnto the brethre, and loue with faith, from God the father, & from the LORDE Iesu Christ.
6:24Grace be with all them that loue oure LORDE Iesus Christ vnfaynedly. Amen.

6:1Sones, obeische ye to youre fadir and modir, in the Lord; for this thing is riytful.
6:2Onoure thou thi fadir and thi modir, that is the firste maundement in biheest;
6:3that it be wel to thee, and that thou be long lyuynge on the erthe.
6:4And, fadris, nyle ye terre youre sones to wraththe; but nurische ye hem in the teching and chastising of the Lord.
6:5Seruauntis, obeische ye to fleischli lordis with drede and trembling, in simplenesse of youre herte, as to Crist;
6:6not seruynge at the iye, as plesinge to men, but as seruauntis of Crist; doynge the wille of God bi discrecioun,
6:7with good wille seruynge as to the Lord, and not as to men;
6:8witinge that ech man, what euere good thing he schal do, he schal resseyue this of the Lord, whether seruaunt, whether fre man.
6:9And, ye lordis, do the same thingis to hem, foryyuynge manaasis; witinge that bothe her Lord and youre is in heuenes, and the taking of persones is not anentis God.
6:10Her aftirward, britheren, be ye coumfortid in the Lord, and in the miyt of his vertu.
6:11Clothe you with the armere of God, that ye moun stonde ayens aspiynges of the deuel.
6:12For whi stryuyng is not to vs ayens fleisch and blood, but ayens princis and potestatis, ayens gouernours of the world of these derknessis, ayens spiritual thingis of wickidnesse, in heuenli thingis.
6:13Therfor take ye the armere of God, that ye moun ayenstonde in the yuel dai; and in alle thingis stonde perfit.
6:14Therfor stonde ye, and be gird aboute youre leendis in sothefastnesse, and clothid with the haburioun of riytwisnesse,

6:20for which Y am set in message in a chayne; so that in it Y be hardi to speke, as it bihoueth me.
6:21And ye wite, what thingis ben aboute me, what Y do, Titicus, my moost dere brother, and trewe mynystre in the Lord, schal make alle thingis knowun to you;
6:22whom Y sente to you for this same thing, that ye knowe what thingis ben aboute vs, and that he coumforte youre hertis.
6:23Pees to britheren, and charite, with feith of God oure fadir, and of the Lord Jhesu Crist.
