3:3 | For we ben circumcisioun, which bi spirit seruen to God, and glorien in Crist Jhesu, and han not trist in the fleisch, |
3:4 | thouy Y haue trust, yhe, in the fleisch. If ony othere man is seyn to triste in the fleisch, |
3:5 | Y more, that was circumcidid in the eiytthe dai, of the kyn of Israel, of the lynage of Beniamyn, an Ebrew of Ebrewis, bi the lawe a Farisee, |
3:6 | bi loue pursuynge the chirche of God, bi riytwisnesse that is in the lawe lyuynge with out playnt. |
3:7 | But whiche thingis weren to me wynnyngis, Y haue demed these apeyryngis for Crist. |
3:8 | Netheles Y gesse alle thingis to be peirement for the cleer science of Jhesu Crist my Lord. For whom Y made alle thingis peyrement, and Y deme as drit, |
3:9 | that Y wynne Crist, and that Y be foundun in hym, not hauynge my riytwisnesse that is of the lawe, but that that is of the feith of Crist Jhesu, that is of God the riytwisnesse in feith, |
3:10 | to knowe hym, and the vertu of his risyng ayen, and the felouschipe of his passioun, and be maad lijk to his deeth, |
3:11 | if on ony maner Y come to the resurreccioun that is fro deth. |
3:12 | Not that now Y haue takun, or now am parfit; but Y sue, if in ony maner Y comprehende, in which thing also Y am comprehendid of Crist Jhesu. |
3:13 | Bretheren, Y deme me not that Y haue comprehendid; but o thing, Y foryete tho thingis that ben bihyndis, and stretche forth my silf to tho thingis that ben bifore, |
3:14 | and pursue to the ordeyned mede of the hiy clepyng of God in Crist Jhesu. |
3:15 | Therfor who euere we ben perfit, feele we this thing. And if ye vndurstonden in othere manere ony thing, this thing God schal schewe to you. |
3:16 | Netheles to what thing we han comun, that we vndurstonden the same thing, and that we perfitli dwelle in the same reule. |
3:17 | Britheren, be ye my foleweris, and weyte ye hem that walken so, as ye han oure fourme. |
3:18 | For many walken, whiche Y haue seid ofte to you, but now Y wepinge seie, the enemyes of Cristis cros, |
3:19 | who ende is deth, whos god is the wombe, and the glorie in confusioun of hem, that saueren ertheli thingis. |
3:20 | But oure lyuyng is in heuenes; fro whennus also we abiden the sauyour oure Lord Jhesu Crist, |
3:21 | which schal reforme the bodi of oure mekenesse, that is maad lijk to the bodi of his clerenesse, bi the worching bi which he mai `also make alle thingis suget to hym. |
3:1 | Morover my brethren reioyce in the lorde. It greveth me not to write one thinge often to you. For to you it is a sure thynge. |
3:2 | Beware of dogges beware of evyll workers. Beware of dissencion. |
3:3 | For we are circucision which worshippe god in the sprete and reioyce in Christ Iesu and have no confidence in the flesshe: |
3:4 | though I have wherof I myght reioyce in the flesshe. Yf eny other man thynketh that he hath wherof he myght trust in the flesshe: moche moare I: |
3:5 | circumcised the eyght daye of ye kynred of Israhell of ye trybe of Beniamyn an Ebrue borne of ye Ebrues: as concernynge the lawe a pharisaye |
3:6 | and as concernynge fervetnes I perseuted the congregacion and as touchynge the rightewesnes which is in the lawe I was vnrebukable. |
3:7 | But the thynges that were vauntage vnto me I counted losse for Christes sake. |
3:8 | Ye I thinke all thynges but losse for that excellet knowledges sake of Christ Iesu my lorde. For whom I have counted all thynge losse and do iudge them but donge that I myght wynne Christ |
3:9 | and myght be founde in him not havynge myne awne rightewesnes which is of the lawe: But that which spryngeth of the fayth which is in Christ. I meane the rightewesnes which cometh of God thorowe fayth |
3:10 | in knowynge him and the vertue of his resurreccion and the fellowshippe of his passions that I myght be coformable vnto his (deeth) |
3:11 | yf by eny meanes I myght attayne vnto the resurreccion from deeth. |
3:12 | Not as though I had all redy attayned to it Ether were all redy parfect: but I folowe yf yt I maye comprehende that wherin I am comprehended of Christ Iesu. |
3:13 | Brethren I counte not my silfe that I have gotten it: but one thynge I saye: I forget yt which is behynde and stretche my silfe vnto that which is before |
3:14 | and preace vnto ye marke apoynted to obtayne the rewarde of the hye callynge of god in Christ Iesu. |
3:15 | Let vs therfore as many as be perfect be thus wyse minded: and yf ye be other wyse mynded I praye God open even this vnto you. |
3:16 | Neverthelesse in that wher vnto we are come let vs procede by one rule yt we maye be of one acorde. |
3:17 | Brethren be folowers of and me loke on them which walke even so as ye have vs for an ensample. |
3:18 | For many walke (of whom I have tolde you often and now tell you wepynge) that they are ye enemyes of ye crosse of Christ |
3:19 | whose ende is dampnacio whose God is their bely and whose glory is to their shame which are worldely mynded. |
3:20 | But oure conversacion is in heven from whence we loke for a saveour enen the lorde Iesus Christ |
3:21 | which shall chaunge oure vile bodies that they maye be fassioned lyke vnto his glorious body acordinge to the workynge wherby he is able to subdue all thinges vnto hym silfe. |
3:1 | Morover my brethren, reioyce in the LORDE. Where as I wryte euer one thinge vnto you, it greueth me not, and maketh you the surer. |
3:2 | Bewarre off dogges, bewarre of euell workers, bewarre off discension: |
3:3 | for we are the circumcision, euen we that serue God in the sprete, and reioyce in Christ Iesu, and haue no confidence in the flesh, |
3:4 | though I haue wherof I mighte reioyce in ye flesh. Yf eny other ma thynke that he hath wherof he mighte reioyce in the flesh, moch more I, |
3:5 | which was circucysed on the eight daye, one of the people of Israel, of the trybe off Ben Iamin, an hebrue of the Hebrues: as concernynge the lawe a Pharise: |
3:6 | as concernynge feruentnes I persecuted the cogregacion: and as touchinge the righteousnes which is in the lawe, I was vnrebukable. |
3:7 | But the thinges that were vauntage vnto me, haue I counted losse for Christes sake. |
3:8 | Yee I thynke all thinges but losse, for that excellent knowleges sake of Christ Iesu my LORDE: for whom I haue counted all thinge losse, and do iudge them but donge, that I mighte wynne Christ, |
3:9 | & be founde in him, not hauynge myne awne righteousnes which commeth of the lawe, but by the faith of Christ (namely) the righteousnes which commeth of God in faith, |
3:10 | to knowe him and the vertue of his resurreccion, and the fellishippe of his passion, that I maye be conformable vnto his death, |
3:11 | yff by eny meanes I mighte attayne to the resurreccion from the deed. |
3:12 | Not that I haue attayned vnto it all ready, or that I am allready perfecte: but I folowe, yf I maye comprehende that, wherin I am comprehended off Christ Iesu. |
3:13 | Brethren, I counte not my selfe yet that I haue gotten it: but one thinge I saye: I forget that which is behynde, and stretch my selfe vnto that which is before, |
3:14 | & preace vnto ye marck apoynted, to optayne the rewarde of the hye callynge of God in Christ Iesu. |
3:15 | Let vs therfore (as many as be parfecte) be thus wyse mynded: and yf ye be otherwyse mynded, I praye God open euen this vnto you. |
3:16 | Neuertheles in that wher vnto we are come, let vs procede by one rule, that we maye be of one accorde. |
3:17 | Brethren, be ye ye folowers of me, and loke on the which walke eue so as ye haue vs for an ensample. |
3:18 | For many walke (off whom I haue tolde you often, but now I tell you wepynge) eue enemies of the crosse of Christ, |
3:19 | whose ende is damnacion, whose God is the bely, & whose glory shalbe to their shame, which are earthly mynded. |
3:20 | But oure conuersacion is in heauen, from whence we loke for the Sauioure Iesu Christ ye LORDE, |
3:21 | which shal chauge or vyle body, yt it maye be like fashioned vnto his glorious body, acordinge to ye workynge wherby he is able to subdue all thinges vnto himselfe. |
