4:1 | Therfor, my britheren most dereworthe and most desirid, my ioye and my coroun, so stonde ye in the Lord, most dere britheren. |
4:2 | Y preye Eucodiam, and biseche Synticem, to vndurstonde the same thing in the Lord. |
4:3 | Also Y preye and thee, german felow, helpe thou the ilke wymmen that traueliden with me in the gospel, with Clement and othere myn helperis, whos names ben in the book of lijf. |
4:4 | Ioye ye in the Lord euere more; eft Y seie, ioye ye. |
4:5 | Be youre pacyence knowun to alle men; the Lord is niy. |
4:6 | Be ye nothing bisi, but in al preyer and biseching, with doyng of thankyngis, be youre axyngis knowun at God. |
4:7 | And the pees of God, that passith al wit, kepe youre hertis and vndurstondingis in Crist Jhesu. |
4:8 | Fro hennus forth, britheren, what euere thingis ben sothe, what euere thingis chast, what euere thingis iust, what euere thingis hooli, what euere thingis able to be louyd, what euere thingis of good fame, if ony vertu, if ony preising of discipline, thenke ye these thingis, |
4:9 | that also ye han lerud, and take, and heed, and seyn in me. Do ye these thingis, and God of pees schal be with you. |
4:10 | But Y ioyede greetli in the Lord, that sum tyme aftirward ye floureden ayen to feele for me, as also ye feeliden. But ye weren ocupied, Y seie not as for nede, |
4:11 | for Y haue lerud to be sufficient in whiche thingis Y am. |
4:12 | And Y can also be lowid, Y can also haue plentee. Euery where and in alle thingis Y am tauyt to be fillid, and to hungur, and to abounde, and to suffre myseiste. |
4:13 | Y may alle thingis in hym that coumfortith me. |
4:14 | Netheles ye han doon wel, comynynge to my tribulacioun. |
4:15 | For and ye, Filipensis, witen, that in the bigynnyng of the gospel, whanne Y wente forth fro Macedonye, no chirche comynede with me in resoun of thing youun and takun, but ye aloone. |
4:16 | Whiche senten to Tessalonyk onys and twies also in to vss to me. |
4:17 | Not for Y seke yifte, but Y requyre fruyt aboundinge in youre resoun. |
4:18 | For Y haue alle thingis, and abounde; Y am fillid with tho thingis takun of Epafrodite, whiche ye senten in to the odour of swetnesse, a couenable sacrifice, plesynge to God. |
4:19 | And my God fil alle youre desire, by hise richessis in glorie in Crist Jhesu. |
4:20 | But to God and oure fadir be glorie in to worldis of worldis. |
4:21 | Amen. Grete ye wel euery hooli man in Crist Jhesu. |
4:22 | Tho britheren that ben with me, greten you wel. Alle hooli men greten you wel, moost sotheli thei that ben of the emperouris hous. |
4:23 | The grace of oure Lord Jhesu Crist be with youre spirit. Amen. |
4:1 | Herfore my brethren dearly beloved and longed for my ioye and croune so continue in the lorde ye beloved. |
4:2 | I praye Evodias and beseche Sintiches that they be of one accorde in the lorde. |
4:3 | Yee and I beseche the faythfull yockfelowe helpe the wemen which labored with me in the gospell and with Clement also and with other my labour felowes whose names are in the boke of lyfe. |
4:4 | Reioyce in the Lorde alwaye and agayne I saye reioyce. |
4:5 | Let youre softenes be knowen vnto all men. The lorde is even at honde. |
4:6 | Be not carfull: but in all thynges shewe youre peticion vnto god in prayer and suplicacion wt gevynge of thankes. |
4:7 | And the peace of god which passeth all vnderstondinge kepe youre hertes and myndes in christ Iesu. |
4:8 | Furthermore brethren whatsoever thinges are true whatsoever thynges are honest what soever thynges are iust whatsoever thynges are pure whatsoever thynges pertayne to love whatsoever thynges are of honest reporte: yf ther be eny verteous thynge yf there be eny laudable thynge |
4:9 | those same have ye in youre mynde which ye have both learned and receaved herde and also sene in me: those thynges do and the god of peace shalbe with you. |
4:10 | I reioyse in the lorde greatly that now at the last ye are revived agayne to care for me in yt wherein ye were also carefull but ye lacked oportunite. |
4:11 | I speake not because of necessitie. For I have learned in whatsoever estate I am therewith to be content. |
4:12 | I can both cast doune my silfe I can also excede. Every where and in all thynges I am instructed both to be full and to be hongry: to have plenty and to suffre nede. |
4:13 | I can do all thynges thorow the helpe of Christ which strengtheth me. |
4:14 | Not wistondynge ye have well done that ye bare parte with me in my tribvlacion. |
4:15 | Ye of Philippos knowe that in the begynnynge of the gospell when I departed from Macedonia no congregacion bare parte with me as concernynge gevynge and receavynge but ye only. |
4:16 | For when I was in Tessalonica ye sent once and afterwarde agayne vnto my nedes: |
4:17 | not that I desyre gyftes: but I desyre aboudant frute on youre parte. |
4:18 | I receaved all and have plentie. I was even filled after that I had receaved of Epaphroditus that which came from you an odour that smelleth swete a sacrifice accepted and plesaunt to God. |
4:19 | My god fulfill all youre nedes thorow his glorious riches in Iesu Christ. |
4:20 | Vnto God and oure father be prayse for ever more. Amen. |
4:21 | Salute all the sainctes in Christ Iesu. The brethren which are with me grete you. |
4:22 | All the saynctes salute you: and most of all they which are of the Emperours housholde. |
4:23 | The grace of oure lorde Iesu Christ be wt you all. Amen |

4:6 | Be not carefull, but in all thinges let yor peticions in prayer and supplicacion, with geuynge of thankes be knowne before God. |
4:7 | And ye peace of God, which passeth all vnderstodinge, kepe youre hertes and myndes in Christ Iesu. |
4:8 | Furthermore brethren, whatsoeuer thinges are true, whatsoeuer thinges are honest, what soeuer thinges are iust, what so euer thinges are pure, what soeuer thinges pertayne to loue, whatsoeuer thinges are of honest reporte: yf there be eny vertuous thing |
4:9 | haue those same in yor mynde, which ye haue both lerned and receaued, and herde and sene in me: those thinges do, and the God of peace shalbe with you. |
4:10 | I reioyse greatly in ye LORDE, that now at the last ye are reuyued agayne to care for me, as ye cared for me afore, but ye lacked oportunyte. |
4:11 | I speake not this because of necessite: for I haue lerned in what soeuer estate I am, therwith to be contete |
4:12 | I can be lowe, and I ca be hye. Euery where and in all thinges I am mete, both to be full, and to be hongrie: to haue plentye, and to suffre nede. |
4:13 | I can do all thinges thorow Christ, which stregtheth me. |
4:14 | Notwith stondinge ye haue done well, that ye bare parte with me in my tribulacion. |
4:15 | But ye of Philippos knowe, that in the begynngnge of the Gospell whan I departed fro Macedonia, no congregacion bare parte with me concernynge geuynge and receauynge, but ye onely. |
4:16 | For vnto Tessalonica ye sent once and afterwarde agayne vnto my necessite. |
4:17 | Not that I seke giftes, but I seke the frute, that it be abudaunt in yor rekenynge. |
4:18 | For I haue all, and haue plentye. I was euen fylled wha I receaued of Epaphroditus, that which came from you, an odoure of swetenes, a sacrifice accepted & pleasaunt vnto God. |
4:19 | My God fulfyll all yor nede, acordinge to his riches in glory i Christ Iesu. |
4:20 | Vnto God and oure father be prayse for euer and euer Amen. |
4:21 | Salute all ye sayntes in Christ Iesu. The brethre that are with me, salute you. |
