4:1Therfor, my britheren most dereworthe and most desirid, my ioye and my coroun, so stonde ye in the Lord, most dere britheren.
4:2Y preye Eucodiam, and biseche Synticem, to vndurstonde the same thing in the Lord.
4:3Also Y preye and thee, german felow, helpe thou the ilke wymmen that traueliden with me in the gospel, with Clement and othere myn helperis, whos names ben in the book of lijf.
4:4Ioye ye in the Lord euere more; eft Y seie, ioye ye.
4:5Be youre pacyence knowun to alle men; the Lord is niy.
4:6Be ye nothing bisi, but in al preyer and biseching, with doyng of thankyngis, be youre axyngis knowun at God.
4:7And the pees of God, that passith al wit, kepe youre hertis and vndurstondingis in Crist Jhesu.
4:8Fro hennus forth, britheren, what euere thingis ben sothe, what euere thingis chast, what euere thingis iust, what euere thingis hooli, what euere thingis able to be louyd, what euere thingis of good fame, if ony vertu, if ony preising of discipline, thenke ye these thingis,
4:9that also ye han lerud, and take, and heed, and seyn in me. Do ye these thingis, and God of pees schal be with you.
4:10But Y ioyede greetli in the Lord, that sum tyme aftirward ye floureden ayen to feele for me, as also ye feeliden. But ye weren ocupied, Y seie not as for nede,
4:11for Y haue lerud to be sufficient in whiche thingis Y am.
4:12And Y can also be lowid, Y can also haue plentee. Euery where and in alle thingis Y am tauyt to be fillid, and to hungur, and to abounde, and to suffre myseiste.
4:13Y may alle thingis in hym that coumfortith me.
4:14Netheles ye han doon wel, comynynge to my tribulacioun.
4:15For and ye, Filipensis, witen, that in the bigynnyng of the gospel, whanne Y wente forth fro Macedonye, no chirche comynede with me in resoun of thing youun and takun, but ye aloone.
4:16Whiche senten to Tessalonyk onys and twies also in to vss to me.
4:17Not for Y seke yifte, but Y requyre fruyt aboundinge in youre resoun.
4:18For Y haue alle thingis, and abounde; Y am fillid with tho thingis takun of Epafrodite, whiche ye senten in to the odour of swetnesse, a couenable sacrifice, plesynge to God.
4:19And my God fil alle youre desire, by hise richessis in glorie in Crist Jhesu.
4:20But to God and oure fadir be glorie in to worldis of worldis.
4:21Amen. Grete ye wel euery hooli man in Crist Jhesu.
4:22Tho britheren that ben with me, greten you wel. Alle hooli men greten you wel, moost sotheli thei that ben of the emperouris hous.
4:23The grace of oure Lord Jhesu Crist be with youre spirit. Amen.

4:1Therefore, my brethre, beloued and longed for, my ioy and my crowne, so continue in the Lord, yee beloued.
4:2I pray Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of one accord in the Lord,
4:3Yea, and I beseech thee, faithfull yokefellow, helpe those women, which laboured with me in the Gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowe labourers, whose names are in the booke of life.
4:4Reioyce in the Lord alway, againe I say, reioyce.
4:5Let your patient minde be knowen vnto all men. The Lord is at hand.
4:6Be nothing carefull, but in all thinges let your requestes be shewed vnto God in praier, and supplication with giuing of thankes.
4:7And the peace of God which passeth all vnderstanding, shall preserue your heartes and mindes in Christ Iesus.
4:8Furthermore, brethre, whatsoeuer things are true, whatsoeuer things are honest, whatsoeuer thinges are iust, whatsoeuer thinges are pure, whatsoeuer thinges are worthie loue, whatsoeuer things are of good report, if there be any vertue, or if there be any praise, thinke on these things,
4:9Which yee haue both learned and receiued, and heard, and seene in mee: those things doe, and the God of peace shalbe with you.
4:10Nowe I reioyce also in the Lord greatly, that nowe at the last your care for mee springeth afresh, wherein notwithstanding ye were careful, but yee lacked opportunitie.
4:11I speake not because of want: for I haue learned in whatsoeuer state I am, therewith to bee content.
4:12And I can be abased, and I can abounde: euery where in all things I am instructed, both to be full, and to be hungrie, and to abounde, and to haue want.
4:13I am able to do al things through the helpe of Christ, which strengtheneth me.
4:14Notwithstanding yee haue well done, that yee did communicate to mine affliction.
4:15And yee Philippians knowe also that in the beginning of the Gospell, when I departed from Macedonia, no Church communicated with me, concerning the matter of giuing and receiuing, but yee onely.
4:16For euen when I was in Thessalonica, yee sent once, and afterward againe for my necessitie,
4:17Not that I desire a gift: but I desire the fruit which may further your reckoning.
4:18Now I haue receiued all, and haue plentie: I was euen filled, after that I had receiued of Epaphroditus that which came from you, an odour that smellleth sweete, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasant to God.
4:19And my God shall fulfill all your necessities through his riches with glorie in Iesus Christ.
4:20Vnto God euen our Father be praise for euermore, Amen.
4:21Salute all the Saintes in Christ Iesus. The brethren, which are with me, greete you.
4:22All the Saintes salute you, and most of all they which are of Cesars houshold.
4:23The grace of our Lord Iesus Christ be with you all, Amen.

4:1Therefore, my greatly beloved and longed for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my greatly beloved.
4:2I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord.
4:3And I urge you also, true companion, help those women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.
4:4Rejoice in the Lord always. And again I will say, rejoice!
4:5Let your moderation be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
4:6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
4:7and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
4:8Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things.
4:9Those things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do also, and the God of peace will be with you.
4:10But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity.
4:11Not that I speak in regard to need, because I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content with it:
4:12I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
4:13I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
4:14Nevertheless you have done well that you shared in my affliction.
4:15Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you alone.
4:16Because even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities.
4:17Not because I desire the gift, but I desire the fruit that abounds to your account.
4:18But I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things that were sent from you, a sweet smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.
4:19And my God will supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
4:20Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
4:21Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you.
4:22All the saints greet you, but especially those who are of Caesar's household.
4:23The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
