Philippians - Chapter: 3

>
3:1Hennus forward, my britheren, haue ye ioye in the Lord. To write to you the same thingis, to me it is not slow, and to you it is necessarie.
3:2Se ye houndis, se ye yuele werk men, se ye dyuysioun.
3:3For we ben circumcisioun, which bi spirit seruen to God, and glorien in Crist Jhesu, and han not trist in the fleisch,
3:4thouy Y haue trust, yhe, in the fleisch. If ony othere man is seyn to triste in the fleisch,
3:5Y more, that was circumcidid in the eiytthe dai, of the kyn of Israel, of the lynage of Beniamyn, an Ebrew of Ebrewis, bi the lawe a Farisee,
3:6bi loue pursuynge the chirche of God, bi riytwisnesse that is in the lawe lyuynge with out playnt.
3:7But whiche thingis weren to me wynnyngis, Y haue demed these apeyryngis for Crist.
3:8Netheles Y gesse alle thingis to be peirement for the cleer science of Jhesu Crist my Lord. For whom Y made alle thingis peyrement, and Y deme as drit,
3:9that Y wynne Crist, and that Y be foundun in hym, not hauynge my riytwisnesse that is of the lawe, but that that is of the feith of Crist Jhesu, that is of God the riytwisnesse in feith,
3:10to knowe hym, and the vertu of his risyng ayen, and the felouschipe of his passioun, and be maad lijk to his deeth,
3:11if on ony maner Y come to the resurreccioun that is fro deth.
3:12Not that now Y haue takun, or now am parfit; but Y sue, if in ony maner Y comprehende, in which thing also Y am comprehendid of Crist Jhesu.
3:13Bretheren, Y deme me not that Y haue comprehendid; but o thing, Y foryete tho thingis that ben bihyndis, and stretche forth my silf to tho thingis that ben bifore,
3:14and pursue to the ordeyned mede of the hiy clepyng of God in Crist Jhesu.
3:15Therfor who euere we ben perfit, feele we this thing. And if ye vndurstonden in othere manere ony thing, this thing God schal schewe to you.
3:16Netheles to what thing we han comun, that we vndurstonden the same thing, and that we perfitli dwelle in the same reule.
3:17Britheren, be ye my foleweris, and weyte ye hem that walken so, as ye han oure fourme.
3:18For many walken, whiche Y haue seid ofte to you, but now Y wepinge seie, the enemyes of Cristis cros,
3:19who ende is deth, whos god is the wombe, and the glorie in confusioun of hem, that saueren ertheli thingis.
3:20But oure lyuyng is in heuenes; fro whennus also we abiden the sauyour oure Lord Jhesu Crist,
3:21which schal reforme the bodi of oure mekenesse, that is maad lijk to the bodi of his clerenesse, bi the worching bi which he mai `also make alle thingis suget to hym.

3:1Moreouer, my brethren, reioyce in the Lord. It grieueth mee not to write the same things to you, and for you it is a sure thing.
3:2Beware of dogges: beware of euil workers: beware of the concision.
3:3For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirite, and reioyce in Christ Iesus, and haue no confidence in the flesh:
3:4Though I might also haue confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, much more I,
3:5Circumcised the eight day, of the kinred of Israel, of the tribe of Beniamin, an Ebrewe of the Ebrewes, by the Lawe a Pharise.
3:6Concerning zeale, I persecuted ye Church: touching the righteousnesse which is in the Law, I was vnrebukeable.
3:7But the thinges that were vantage vnto me, the same I counted losse for Christes sake.
3:8Yea, doubtlesse I thinke all thinges but losse for the excellent knowledge sake of Christ Iesus my Lord, for whome I haue counted all things losse, and doe iudge them to bee dongue, that I might winne Christ,
3:9And might bee founde in him, that is, not hauing mine owne righteousnesse, which is of the Lawe, but that which is through the faith of Christ, euen the righteousnesse which is of God through faith,
3:10That I may know him, and the vertue of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his afflictions, and be made conformable vnto his death,
3:11If by any meanes I might attaine vnto the resurrection of the dead:
3:12Not as though I had alreadie attained to it, either were alreadie perfect: but I follow, if that I may comprehend that for whose sake also I am comprehended of Christ Iesus.
3:13Brethren, I count not my selfe, that I haue attained to it, but one thing I doe: I forget that which is behinde, and endeuour my selfe vnto that which is before,
3:14And follow hard toward the marke, for the prise of the hie calling of God in Christ Iesus.
3:15Let vs therefore as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if yee be otherwise minded, God shall reueile euen the same vnto you.
3:16Neuerthelesse, in that whereunto wee are come, let vs proceede by one rule, that wee may minde one thing.
3:17Brethren, bee followers of mee, and looke on them, which walke so, as yee haue vs for an ensample.
3:18For many walke, of whom I haue told you often, and nowe tell you weeping, that they are the enemies of the Crosse of Christ:
3:19Whose ende is damnation, whose God is their bellie, and whose glorie is to their shame, which minde earthly things.
3:20But our conuersation is in heauen, from whence also we looke for the Sauiour, euen the Lord Iesus Christ,
3:21Who shall change our vile bodie, that it may be fashioned like vnto his glorious body, according to the working, whereby hee is able euen to subdue all things vnto him selfe.

3:1Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is not tedious, but for you it is safe.
3:2Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilation!
3:3Because, we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,
3:4though I also might have confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more so:
3:5circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee;
3:6concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
3:7But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.
3:8Yet indeed I also count all things as loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as manure, that I may gain Christ
3:9and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;
3:10that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
3:11if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
3:12Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may apprehend that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.
3:13Brethren, I do not count myself to have attained; but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
3:14I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
3:15Therefore let us, as many as are perfect, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.
3:16Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.
3:17Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for an example.
3:18Because many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
3:19whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.
3:20Because, our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
3:21who will transform our vile body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.
