Colossians - Chapter: 3

>
3:1If ye be then rysen agayn with Christ seke those thinges which are aboue where Christe sitteth on the right hand of God.
3:2Set youre affeccion on thinges that are aboue, and not on thinges, which are on the earth.
3:3For ye are dead and youre lyfe is hid with Christ in God.
3:4When Christ which is our life, shal shew him selfe then shal ye also appere wyth him in glorye.
3:5Mortifie therfore, youre members whiche are on the earth, fornicacion, vnclenes, vnnatural, lust euil concupiscence, and couetousnesse, which is worshippinge of Idolles,
3:6for which thynges sakes the wrathe of God commeth on the chyldren of vnbeliefe.
3:7In whyche thinges ye walked ones, when ye liued in them.
3:8But now put ye also awaye from you all thinges, wrath, fearnes, maliciousnes, cursed speaking fylthy speaking out of your mouthes.
3:9Lye not one to another, that the olde man wyth hys workes be put of,
3:10and the newe put on, whiche is renued in knowledge after the ymage of hym, that made hym
3:11where is neyther Gentile nor Iew, circumcysion nor vncircumcision, Barbarous or Sythian, bond or fre: but Christ is all in al thinges.
3:12Nowe therfore as electe of God, holy and beloued, put on tender mercye, kyndnes, humblenes of mindes, meaknes, longe sufferynge,
3:13forbearing one another, and forgeuing one another, yf anye man haue a quarel to another, euen as Christe forgaue you, euen so do ye.
3:14Aboue all these thynges put on loue, which is the bond of perfectnes.
3:15And the peace of God rule in your hertes, to the which peace ye are called in one bodye. And se that ye be thankfull.
3:16Let the word of Christ dwell in you plenteouslye in all wysdome. Teache and exhorte youre owne selues, in psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songes, whiche haue fauoure with them, singinge in your hertes to the Lorde.
3:17And all thinges (whatsoeuer ye do in word or dede) do it in the name of the Lorde Iesu geuinge thankes to God the father by hym.
3:18Wyues submitte youre selues vnto youre owne husbandes, as it is comly in the Lorde.
3:19Husbandes loue your wyues, and be not bitter vnto them.
3:20Chyldren obey your fathers & mothers in all thinges, for that is wel pleasynge vnto the Lorde.
3:21Fathers, rate not your children, leaste they be of a desperate mynde.
3:22Seruauntes, be obediente vnto your bodelye maisters in al thinges, not wyth eye seruice as men pleasers, but in synglenes of herte fearinge God.
3:23And what soeuer ye do, do it hertelye as though ye dyd it to the Lord, and not vnto men
3:24for as muche as ye know that of the Lorde ye shall receiue the reward of inheritaunce, for ye serue the Lorde Christ.
3:25But he that doeth anye wronge, shall receiue for the wronge that he hath done, for there is no respect of persons wyth God.

3:2Set youre affeccyon on heauenly thynges, and not on erthye thynges.
3:3For ye are deed, and youre lyfe is hyd with Chryst in God.
3:4Whensoeuer Chryst (which is oure lyfe) shall shewe hym selfe, then shall ye also appeare with hym in glory.
3:5Mortifye therfore youre erthy membres: fornicacyon, vnclennes, vnnaturall lust, euyll concupiscence, and coueteousnes, which is worshyppynge of ydoles:
3:6for which thynges sake the wrath of God vseth to come on the disobedyent chyldren
3:7amonge whom ye walked somtyme, when ye lyued in them.
3:8But nowe put ye also awaye from you all soch thinges: wrath, fearnes, maliciousnes, cursed speakynge, fylthy communicacyon out of your mouth.
3:9Lye not one to another, seing that ye haue put of the olde man with hys workes,
3:10and haue put on the newe man which is renued into the knowledge & ymage of him that made hym,
3:11where is nether Gentyle nor Iewe, circumcisyon nor vncircumcisyon, Barbarous or Sythian, bonde or fre: but Christ is all in all thinges.
3:12Therfore as electe of God, holy & beloued, put on tender mercye, kyndnes, humblenes of mynde, mekenes, longe suffrynge,
3:13for bearynge one another, & forgeuynge one another, yf any man haue a quarell agaynst another: as Christ forgaue you, euen so do ye.
3:14Aboue all these thinges put on loue which is the bonde of perfectnes.
3:15And the peace of God rule in youre hertes: to the which peace ye are called in one body. And se that ye be thankfull.
3:16Let the worde of Chryst dwell in you plenteously with all wysdome. Teache and exhorte youre awne selues, in Psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songes syngynge with grace in youre hertes to the Lorde
3:17And whatsouer ye do (in worde or dede) do all in the name of the Lord Iesu, geuynge thankes to God the father by hym.
3:18Ye wyues, submyt youre selues vnto youre awne husbandes, as it is comly in the Lorde:
3:19Ye husbandes, loue youre wyues and be not bytter vnto them.
3:20Ye chyldren, obey youre fathers and mothers in all thinges, for that is well pleasynge vnto the Lorde.
3:21Ye fathers, prouoke not youre chyldren, lest they be of a desperate mynde.
3:22Ye seruauntes be obedient vnto them that are youre bodyly masters in all thinges: not with eye seruice as men pleasers, but in synglenes of herte, fearynge God.
3:23And whatsoeuer ye do, do it hertely, as, though ye dyd it to the Lord, and not vnto men:
3:24knowynge, that of the Lord ye shall receaue the rewarde of inheritaunce, for ye serue the Lorde Christ.
3:25But he that doth synne, shall receaue for hys synne. Nether is ther any respect of persones.

3:8But now put ye away euen all these things, wrath, anger, maliciousnes, cursed speaking, filthie speaking, out of your mouth.
3:9Lie not one to another, seeing that yee haue put off the olde man with his workes,
3:10And haue put on the newe, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him,
3:11Where is neither Grecian nor Iewe, circumcision nor vncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond, free: But Christ is all, and in all things.
3:12Now therfore as the elect of God holy and beloued, put on the bowels of mercies, kindnesse, humblenesse of minde, meekenesse, long suffering:
3:13Forbearing one another, and forgiuing one another, if any man haue a quarel to another: euen as Christ forgaue, euen so doe ye.
3:14And aboue all these thinges put on loue, which is the bond of perfectnes.
3:15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which ye are called in one body, and be ye thankfull.
3:16Let the worde of Christ dwell in you plenteously in all wisdome, teaching and admonishing your owne selues, in Psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songs, singing with a grace in your hearts to the Lord.
3:17And whatsoeuer ye shall doe, in worde or deede, doe all in the Name of the Lord Iesus, giuing thankes to God euen the Father by him.
3:18Wiues, submit your selues vnto your husbands, as it is comely in the Lord.
3:19Husbands, loue your wiues, and be not bitter vnto them.
3:20Children, obey your parents in all thing for that is well pleasing vnto the Lord.
3:21Fathers, prouoke not your children to anger, least they be discouraged.
3:22Seruants, be obedient vnto them that are your masters according to the flesh, in all things, not with eye seruice as men pleasers, but in singlenes of heart, fearing God.
3:23And whatsoeuer ye doe, doe it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men,
3:24Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receiue the reward of the inheritance: for ye serue the Lord Christ.
3:25But he that doeth wrong, shall receiue for the wrong that he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
