3:1 | Therefore when we could no longer endure it, we thought it good to be left in Athens alone, |
3:2 | and sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God, and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you and to encourage you concerning your faith, |
3:3 | that no one should be shaken by these afflictions; because you yourselves know that we are appointed to this. |
3:4 | Because indeed, we told you before when we were with you that we would suffer tribulation, just as it came to pass, and you know. |
3:5 | Because of this reason, when I could no longer endure it, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor might be in vain. |
3:6 | But now when Timothy came to us from you, and brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you always have good remembrance of us, earnestly desiring to see us, as we also to see you, |
3:7 | therefore, brethren, in all our affliction and distress we were comforted concerning you by your faith. |
3:8 | Because now we live, if you stand firmly in the Lord. |
3:9 | Because, what thanks can we offer back to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sake before our God, |
3:10 | night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and would perfect that which is lacking in your faith? |
3:11 | Now may God Himself even our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you. |
3:12 | And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love towards one another, and towards all men, just as we do towards you, |
3:13 | so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints. |
3:1 | Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone; |
3:2 | And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith: |
3:3 | That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto. |
3:4 | For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know. |
3:5 | For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain. |
3:6 | But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you: |
3:7 | Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith: |
3:8 | For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. |
3:9 | For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God; |
3:10 | Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith? |
3:11 | Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you. |
3:12 | And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: |
3:13 | To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints. |
3:1 | Wherefore when wee could no longer forbeare, wee thought it good to bee left at Athens alone: |
3:2 | And sent Timotheus our brother and minister of God, and our fellow labourer in the Gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith: |
3:3 | That no man should be mooued by these afflictions: for your selues know that we are appointed therunto. |
3:4 | For verily when wee were with you, we told you before, that we should suffer tribulation, euen as it came to passe and ye know. |
3:5 | For this cause when I could no longer forbeare, I sent to know your faith, lest by some meanes the tempter haue tempted you, and our labor be in vaine. |
3:6 | But now when Timotheus came from you vnto vs, and brought vs good tidings of your faith and charitie, and that ye haue good remembrance of vs alwayes, desiring greatly to see vs, as we also to see you: |
3:7 | Therefore brethren, wee were comforted ouer you in all our affliction and distresse, by your faith: |
3:8 | For now we liue, if ye stand fast in the Lord. |
3:9 | For what thankes can we render to God againe for you, for all the ioy wherewith wee ioy for your sakes before our God, |
3:10 | Night & day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith? |
3:11 | Now God himselfe and our Father, and our Lord Iesus Christ direct our way vnto you. |
3:12 | And the Lorde make you to increase, & abound in loue one towards another, and towards all men, euen as we doe towards you: |
3:13 | To the end hee may stablish your hearts vnblameable in holinesse before God euen our Father, at the comming of our Lord Iesus Christ with all his Saints. |
