| 3:1 | Finally, brethren, pray for vs, that the word of the Lord may haue free course, and be glorified, euen as it is with you: |
| 3:2 | And that we may bee deliuered from vnreasonable and wicked men: for all men haue not faith. |
| 3:3 | But the Lord is faithfull, who shall stablish you, and keepe you from euill. |
| 3:4 | And wee haue confidence in the Lord touching you, that yee both doe, and will doe the things which we command you. |
| 3:5 | And the Lord direct your hearts into the loue of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. |
| 3:6 | Now we command you, brethren, in the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ, that ye withdraw your selues from euery brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which hee receiued of vs. |
| 3:7 | For your selues know how yee ought to follow vs: for wee behaued not our selues disorderly among you, |
| 3:8 | Neither did wee eate any mans bread for nought: but wrought with labour and trauaile night and day, that wee might not bee chargeable to any of you. |
| 3:9 | Not because we haue not power, but to make our selues an ensample vnto you to follow vs. |
| 3:10 | For euen when wee were with you, this wee commanded you, that if any would not worke, neither should he eate. |
| 3:11 | For we heare that there are some which walke among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busi-bodies. |
| 3:12 | Now them that are such, we command, and exhort by our Lord Iesus Christ, that with quietnesse they worke, and eat their owne bread. |
| 3:13 | But ye, brethren, be not wearie in well doing. |
| 3:14 | And if any man obey not our word, by this Epistle note that man, and haue no company with him, that he may be ashamed, |
| 3:15 | Yet count him not as an enemie, but admonish him as a brother. |
| 3:16 | Now the Lord of peace himselfe, giue you peace alwayes, by all meanes. The Lord be with you all. |
| 3:17 | The salutation of Paul, with mine owne hand, which is the token in euery Epistle: so I write. |
| 3:18 | The grace of our Lord Iesus Christ be with you all, Amen.The second Epistle to the Thessalonians was written from Athens. |

| 3:8 | nether toke we bred of eny man for naughte but wrought wt laboure and trauayle night and daye, lest we shulde be chargeable to eny of you. |
| 3:9 | Not but that we had auctorite, but to geue oure selues for an ensample vnto you to folowe vs. |
| 3:10 | And whan we were wt you, this we warned you of, that yf there were eny which wolde not worke, ye same shulde not eate. |
| 3:11 | For we heare saye, that there are some which walke amonge you inordinatly, and worke not at all, but are busy bodies. |
| 3:12 | But them that are soche, we commaunde and exhorte by oure LORDE Iesus Christ, that they worke with quyetnes, and eate their awne bred. |
| 3:13 | Neuertheles brethren, be not ye weery of well doynge. |
| 3:14 | But yf eny man obey not oure sayenges, sende vs worde of him by a letter, and haue nothinge to do with him, yt he maye be ashamed. |
| 3:15 | Yet counte him not as an enemye, but warne him as a brother. |
| 3:16 | The very LORDE of peace geue you peace allwayes by all meanes. The LORDE be with you all. |
| 3:17 | The salutacion of me Paul with myne awne hande: This is the token in all epistles, So I wryte, |
| 3:18 | The grace of oure LORDE Iesus Christ be with you all. Amen. |

| 3:7 | For `ye silf witen, hou it bihoueth to sue vs. For we weren not vnpesible among you, |
| 3:8 | nethir with outen oure owne trauel we eeten breed of ony man, but in trauel and werynesse worchiden niyt and dai, that we greuyden noon of you. |
| 3:9 | Not as we hadden not power, but that we schulden yyue vs silf ensaumple to you to sue vs. |
| 3:10 | For also whanne we weren among you, we denounsiden this thing to you, that if ony man wole not worche, nethir ete he. |
| 3:11 | For we han herd that summe among you goon in reste, and no thing worchen, but don curiousli. |
| 3:12 | But we denouncen to hem that ben suche men, and bisechen in the Lord Jhesu Crist, that thei worchen with silence, and ete her owne breed. |
| 3:13 | But nyle ye, britheren, faile wel doynge. |
| 3:14 | That if ony man obeie not to oure word bi epistle, marke ye him, and comyne ye not with hym, that he be schamed; |
| 3:15 | and nyle ye gesse hym as an enemye, but repreue ye hym as a brother. And God hym silf of pees yyue to you euerlastinge pees in al place. |
| 3:16 | The Lord be with `you alle. |
| 3:17 | My salutacioun bi the hoond of Poul; which signe in ech epistle Y write thus. |
| 3:18 | The grace of oure Lord Jhesu Crist be with `alle you. Amen. |
