>
4:1The spyryte speaketh euydentlye that in the later tymes some shal departe from the fayth, & shall geue heed vnto spyrytes of erroure, and deuelysh doctryne of them
4:2which speake false thorowe hypocrisye, and haue theyr consciences marked with an hote Iron,
4:3forbyddyng to marye, and commaundynge to abstayne from meates which God hath created to be receyued wyth geuyng thankes, of them which beleue and know the trueth.
4:4For all the creatures of God are good & nothynge to be refused, yf it be receyued with thankes geuynge.
4:5For it is sanctifyed by the worde of God and prayer.
4:6Yf thou shalt put the brethren in remembraunce of these thynges: thou shalt be a good mynyster of Iesu Christe, whiche hast bene noryshed vp in the wordes of the fayth and good doctryne, which doctryne thou haste contynuallye folowed.
4:7But cast awaye vnghostly and olde wyues fables. Exercyse thy selfe vnto Godlynes.
4:8For bodely exercyse profyteth lytell: But godlynes is good vnto all thynges, as a thynge whiche hath promyses of the lyfe that is now, and of the lyfe to come.
4:9Thys is a sure saiyng and of all partyes worthy to be receyued.
4:10For therfore we laboure and suffer rebuke, because we beleue in the lyuyng God, whiche is the sauyoure of all men: but specyally of those that beleue.
4:11Suche thynges commaunde and teache.
4:12Let no man despyse thy youthe: but be vnto them that beleue, an ensample, in worde in conuersacyon, in loue, in spyryte, in fayth & in purenes.
4:13Tyll I come, geue attendaunce to reading to exhortacyon and to doctryne.
4:14Despyse not the gyfte that is in the, whiche was geuen the thorow Prophesye, and wyth layinge on of the handes of an elder.
4:15These thynges exercyse, and geue thy selfe vnto them, that it maye be sene howe thou profytest in all thynges.
4:16Take hede vnto thy selfe and vnto learnyng, and contynue therein. For yf thou shalte so do, thou shalte saue thy selfe and them that heare the.

4:1Now the Spirit speaketh euidently, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, and shall giue heede vnto spirits of errour, and doctrines of deuils,
4:2Which speake lies through hypocrisie, and haue their cosciences burned with an hote yron,
4:3Forbidding to marrie, and commanding to abstaine from meates which God hath created to be receiued with giuing thankes of them which beleeue and knowe the trueth.
4:4For euery creature of God is good, and nothing ought to be refused, if it be receiued with thankesgiuing.
4:5For it is sanctified by the worde of God, and prayer.
4:6If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Iesus Christ, which hast bene nourished vp in the wordes of faith, and of good doctrine, which thou hast continually followed.
4:7But cast away prophane, and olde wiues fables, and exercise thy selfe vnto godlinesse.
4:8For bodily exercise profiteth litle: but godlinesse is profitable vnto all things, which hath the promise of the life present, and of that that is to come.
4:9This is a true saying, and by all meanes worthie to be receiued.
4:10For therefore we labour and are rebuked, because we trust in the liuing God, which is the Sauiour of all men, specially of those that beleeue.
4:11These things warne and teache.
4:12Let no man despise thy youth, but be vnto them that beleeue, an ensample, in worde, in conuersation, in loue, in spirit, in faith, and in purenesse.
4:13Till I come, giue attendance to reading, to exhortation, and to doctrine.
4:14Despise not the gift that is in thee, which was giuen thee by prophecie with the laying on of the hands of the companie of the Eldership.
4:15These things exercise, and giue thy selfe vnto them, that it may be seene howe thou profitest among all men.
4:16Take heede vnto thy selfe, and vnto learning: continue therein: for in doing this thou shalt both saue thy selfe, and them that heare thee.

4:1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
4:2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
4:3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4:4For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
4:5For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
4:6If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
4:7But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
4:8For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
4:9This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
4:10For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
4:11These things command and teach.
4:12Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
4:13Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
4:14Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
4:15Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
4:16Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
