2 Timothy - Chapter: 3

>
3:1But wite thou this thing, that in the laste daies perelouse tymes schulen neiye, and men schulen be louynge hem silf,
3:2coueitouse, hiy of bering, proude, blasfemeris, not obedient to fadir and modir, vnkynde,
3:3cursid, with outen affeccioun, with out pees, false blameris, vncontynent, vnmylde,
3:4with out benygnyte, traitouris, ouerthwert, bollun with proude thouytis, blynde, loueris of lustis more than of God,
3:5hauynge the licknesse of pitee, but denyynge the vertu of it. And eschewe thou these men.
3:6Of these thei ben that persen housis, and leden wymmen caitifs chargid with synnes, whiche ben led with dyuerse desiris, euere more lernynge,
3:7and neuere perfitli comynge to the science of treuthe.
3:8And as Jannes and Mambres ayenstoden Moises, so these ayenstonden treuthe, men corrupt in vndirstonding, repreuyd aboute the feith.
3:9But ferthere thei schulen not profite, for the vnwisdom of hem schal be knowun to alle men, as hern was.
3:10But thou hast getun my teching, ordinaunce, purposing, feith, long abiding, loue,
3:11pacience, persecuciouns, passiouns, whiche weren maad to me at Antioche, at Ycony, at Listris, what maner persecucyouns Y suffride, and the Lord hath delyuered me of alle.
3:12And alle men that wolen lyue feithfuli in Crist Jhesu, schulen suffre persecucioun.
3:13But yuele men and disseyueris schulen encreese in to worse, errynge, and sendinge in to errour.
3:14But dwelle thou in these thingis that thou hast lerud, and that ben bitakun to thee, witinge of whom thou hast lerud;
3:15for thou hast knowun hooli lettris fro thi youthe, whiche moun lerne thee to heelthe, bi feith that is in Crist Jhesu.
3:16For al scripture inspirid of God is profitable to teche, to repreue, to chastice, to lerne in riytwisnes,
3:17the man of God be parfit, lerud to al good werk.

3:1This knowe also, that in the last dayes shall come perilous times.
3:2For men shalbe louers of their owne selues, couetous, boasters, proud, cursed speakers, disobedient to parents, vnthankefull, vnholy,
3:3Without naturall affection, truce breakers, false accusers, intemperate, fierce, no louers at all of them which are good,
3:4Traitours, headie, high minded, louers of pleasures more then louers of God,
3:5Hauing a shewe of godlinesse, but haue denied the power thereof: turne away therefore from such.
3:6For of this sort are they which creepe into houses, and leade captiue simple women laden with sinnes, and led with diuers lustes,
3:7Which women are euer learning, and are neuer able to come to the acknowledging of the trueth.
3:8And as Iannes and Iambres withstoode Moses, so doe these also resist the trueth, men of corrupt mindes, reprobate concerning the faith.
3:9But they shall preuaile no longer: for their madnesse shalbe euident vnto all men, as theirs also was.
3:10But thou hast fully knowen my doctrine, maner of liuing, purpose, faith, long suffering, loue, patience,
3:11Persecutions, and afflictions which came vnto me at Antiochia, at Iconium, and at Lystri, which persecutions I suffered: but from them all the Lord deliuered me.
3:12Yea, and all that will liue godly in Christ Iesus, shall suffer persecution.
3:13But the euill men and deceiuers, shall waxe worse and worse, deceiuing, and being deceiued.
3:14But continue thou in the thinges which thou hast learned, and which are committed vnto thee, knowing of who thou hast learned them:
3:15And that thou hast knowen the holy Scriptures of a childe, which are able to make thee wise vnto saluation, through the faith which is in Christ Iesus.
3:16For the whole Scripture is giuen by inspiration of God, and is profitable to teache, to conuince, to correct, and to instruct in righteousnesse,
3:17That the man of God may be absolute, being made perfect vnto all good workes.

3:1Also know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
3:2Because, men will be lovers of themselves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3:3without natural affection, covenant breakers, slanderers, without self control, brutal, despisers of those who are good,
3:4traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
3:5having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
3:6Because, of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,
3:7always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
3:8Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith;
3:9but they will progress no further, because their folly will be manifest to all people, as theirs also was.
3:10But you have fully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance,
3:11persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra, what persecutions I endured, but the Lord delivered me out of them all.
3:12Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
3:13But evil men and seducers will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
3:14But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
3:15and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
3:16All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
3:17that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
