4:2Preach the worde: be instant, in season and out of season: improue, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
4:3For the time will come, when they will not suffer wholesome doctrine: but hauing their eares itching, shall after their owne lustes get them an heape of teachers,
4:4And shall turne their eares from the trueth, and shalbe giuen vnto fables.
4:5But watch thou in all thinges: suffer aduersitie: doe the worke of an Euangelist: cause thy ministerie to be throughly liked of.
4:6For I am nowe readie to be offered, and the time of my departing is at hand.
4:7I haue fought a good fight, and haue finished my course: I haue kept the faith.
4:8For hence foorth is laide vp for me the crowne of righteousnesse, which the Lord the righteous iudge shall giue me at that day: and not to me onely, but vnto all them also that loue that his appearing.
4:9Make speede to come vnto me at once:
4:10For Demas hath forsaken me, and hath embraced this present world, and is departed vnto Thessalonica. Crescens is gone to Galatia, Titus vnto Dalmatia.
4:11Onely Luke is with me. Take Marke and bring him with thee: for he is profitable vnto me to minister.

4:17Notwithstanding the Lord assisted me, and strengthened me, that by me the preaching might be fully beleeued, and that al the Gentiles should heare: and I was deliuered out of the mouth of the lion.
4:18And the Lord will deliuer me from euery euil worke, and will preserue me vnto his heauenly kingdome: to whome be praise for euer and euer, Amen.
4:19Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the householde of Onesiphorus.

4:1I command you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:
4:2Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and doctrine.
4:3Because, the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, they will heap up for themselves teachers, having itching ears,
4:4and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and will be turned aside to fables.
4:5But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make your ministry complete.
4:6Because, I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
4:7I have fought the good fight, I have finished my race, I have kept the faith.
4:8After this, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me at that Day, and not to me only but also to all who love His appearing.
4:9Be diligent to come to me quickly;
4:10because Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica, Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia.
4:11Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, because he is profitable to me for the ministry.
4:12And Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.
4:13When you come, bring the cloak with you that I left with Carpus at Troas, and the books, but especially the parchments.
4:14Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil. May the Lord repay him according to his works.
4:15You also must beware of him, because he has greatly resisted our words.
4:16At my first defense no one stood with me, but everyone forsook me. I ask God that it may not be charged against them.
4:17But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that through me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
4:18And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!
4:19Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
4:20Erastus stayed in Corinth, but Trophimus I have left in Miletus sick.
4:21Do your utmost to come before winter. Eubulus greets you, as well as Pudens, Linus, Claudia, and all the brethren.
4:22The Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
